To me this feels really chill and self aware actually. I don’t get any cringe from this show it just feels genuine in that they’re aware of how awkward they’re trying to make it seem which actually gives way to making fun of the bullshit we put on and tell ourselves when we’re on dates.
It makes me wonder how false people are when they think this is unbearably awkward because it’s not.
Maybe I’m just socially awkward but taking the piss out of everything and knowing that we’re being obstructive and awkward on purpose is less awkward than playing it safe and pretending to be constantly interested.
