This is a great video, but the audio isn't matched to the visuals. They start off in sync, but by the end of the video, the audio is about 30 seconds ahead of the visuals. Is there a way to fix this?
It happens on all the videos from the playlist. I recommend downloading vids and on VLC where oen can sync them. or to use to tabs for the video and watch one muted, manually syncing audios
7:14 *Do not be misled.* This is not constant mass because water is being removed. Conservation of mass is violates. This is why it *looks like* Velocity change causes a pressure change. Earlier he makes it clear this is Newton and Pressure gradient is the cause of fluid acceleration
Volume flow rate and mass flow rate are directly related. Volume flow rate is directly related to velocity by the continuity equation Q = Av. By opening the valves, you decrease the mass flow rate, thus decrease the volume flow rate, and because the area is constant the velocity must decrease. Conservation of energy principle requires that a decrease in velocity must be compensated for by an increase in pressure - otherwise energy would not be conserved. Velocity changes does cause a pressure change. Not sure what you're trying to say exactly.
my professor's making me watch this for my fluids hw
same here 😂
same here lol
This semester as well
same
omg, using electrolysis to make bubbles to visualize the flow is utterly brilliant. awesome!
loved it. It cleared my misconceptions
it's very important to remember that fluids have momentum!
Thanks, the best laboratory, regards from Colombia.

Here bc I need it to my Darcy FEM implementation.
It is high reynolds number laminar flow.
Splash Mountain at Disneyland suddenly makes much more sense to me
Vaya vídeos para aprender fluidos tu, mucho mas interesante que hacer esos mismo experimentos, donde va a parar.

Was the flow laminar or turbulent? ;)
Great video.
Very good.
very good video

Fantastic. Really cool
Unless my computer completely wacked out, at least half the video is grossly mismatched with the audio, making it nigh impossible to understand.
our computer is wacked out. the sound is fine.
10:08 "a great many static..." audio then stops and is mismatched for the rest of it
prof. Ascher shapiro was so intelegent.. I wished he was my prof.
Love this video
Who else come here to watch this video because of a class.
Nah. I’m just a weather geek who loves fluid dynamics.
Would love for these videos to be redone with better visuals.
Me tricking myself that watching this is proper studying for a fluids exam.
Application
thanks 👌👌👌👍👍👍
IIT Guwahati mechanical department students who came here becoz their instructor recommended this video hit like 👍
