(New sewer and new to this channel). I learned that I should sew the front and back arm facing together prior to sewing it to the dress. This makes perfect sense. I need to work on a muslin for this. it does look like a great dress for many occasions

I LOVE this pattern! Made my first version in July 2022 from a Mood Fabrics quirky cotton poplin. The design is a vintage era "bathing beauties" that's the perfect dress for summer weather regardless of whatever time of the year. Like Talisha, I did have issues with those oversized armholes so thankfully I made a muslin first so I could raise the armholes on the pattern. I'm ready to make another version soon in a smaller size...YAY!

Thank you so much and thank for subscribing! I'm going to raise my armholes a little the next time I make it as well. My muslin armholes didn't dip like the actual fabric did once completed. Luckily, I was able to get away with a black bra that complimented the black in the fabric.

Happy Mother's Day! The dress is beautiful and linen is perfect for this time of year. I was supposed to make this dress last year, but I didn't get to it. Thanks for the heads up on the sizing. Will the size of the arm hole cover undergarments? Thanks!
Thank you so much! The armhole is actually pretty big, and next time I will raise mine a little to cover. I was able to get away with a black bra with this fabric. Make sure to watch Talisha's video because she explains the armhole in detail.
Nice dress. For the facing I cut the wider one down to match the smaller one. I thought it was a pattern error 🤷🏽♀️
