►Synopsis ：
In the 9th year of Wude Period of Tang Dynasty, Li Changge, the daughter of the former crown prince, accidentally escaped from the military coup in the palace. During her escape, Changge encountered the secret service agent of a grassland tribe, Ashina Sun, who was under the pseudonym of Qin Zhun. They got to know each other through a fight and their affection grew stronger. Changge smashed a conspiracy in Youzhou. However, at the same time, her identity was revealed, and she went to Shuozhou to escape capture. She hid herself beside Gongsun Heng, the governor of Shuozhou, to help him resist the invasion of the grassland forces, but she did not expect that the enemy general was Qin Zhun. Changge was shocked and distressed to discover Qin’s real identity. However, the situation in Yuzhou is in great danger. In order to gain time for reinforcements, Li Changge negotiated with Sun. For the sake of the overall situation, she was willing to be a prisoner and taken to the grassland. Then she accidentally learned that the Great Khan had an ulterior motive. Changge decided to temporarily put aside her personal vengeance, and risk her life to save the situation. In order to save Changge, Sun disobeyed the order of the Great Khan, but they were far apart from each other after that. After going through the arduous exile, Changge gradually understood the principle of the invincibility of the benevolent, and finally put aside her personal grievances. After discovering that the former forces of Sui Dynasty were the manipulators behind the scenes, Changge and Sun teamed up to protect the peace of Tang Dynasty and the grassland. They finally came to realize their deep affections towards each other and went to confront the crisis ahead.

"THE LONG BALLAD" is one of the masterpieces in historical cdrama land. The storyline, the characters, and the plot points, all were just incredibly immaculate. Whoever is going to watch this series, please be prepared for numerous heartbreaks. In the play, you can see power struggles, politics, revenge with less romance. Every scene in the series will ignite the flame of curiosity inside you giving a strong emotional impact in each episode one after another, and eventually, you'll get addicted to it.
The two main protagonists of this series, Li Changge (Dilraba Dilmurat) and Ashile Sun (Leo Wu) is just amazing. These two characters will make you realize what is really important in our life. And the other two main characters Le Yan (Zhao Lusi) and Hao Du (Liu Yuning) will make you fall in love with them.
Overall, there are many characters in the series, who are gonna remain in your mind for a couple of days even after finishing watching the series. So here, if you have come to watch this series, then go for it. I assure you, you won't regret watching this amazing masterpiece.

Been watching this drama for hundred times, almost re watch everyday since a month ago,
Still can’t get over it. First time I got hooked so much in drama series, also not a fan of historical drama, but this is exceptional. ReAlly well executed. The main lead character has great chemistry, even though the love scene isn’t showy, but it’s understandable because the drama is more focus on strategic war, politics, winning, revenge, healing, loving selflessly, helping people and building the nation. This drama is not the typical drama that is common these days, that’s why I loved it.

A FREAKING MASTERPEICE . I keep coming back. my first c drama .I binge watched it 3 times already .Absolute love.
Ashile Sun has the feel of an iconic character, the way he was designed and then played to perfection by Wu Lei. That image of him dressed up in white with silver armor and a falcon sitting on his arm is unforgettable. His look and the way he carries himself, he's such a mature and talented actor beyond his age. And he has _so_ much screen presence! Really love him. Also really enjoyed Changge's journey to character growth. For those who thought the age gap between Dilraba and Wu Lei would be too obvious, they look _really_ good together. Would love to see another drama with them.

Their relationship is a very wholesome, healthy, and mature one filled with mutual understanding, respect, support, and admiration. When Sun said he couldn't betray Ashile tribe or the Great Khan, Changge immediately understood. She wasn't angry that he didn't "choose" her. Likewise, Sun wasn't angry with Changge's actions and decisions along the way because he also understood her love for her people and the fact that she couldn't betray them. Even though they were supposed to be enemies, I appreciate that their relationship wasn't filled with misunderstandings, toxicity, grudges, one blaming the other for every little mistake and error. Even in the major event with the death of Alir, Sun was initially angry with Changge because of his high emotions but immediately regretted his words and went searching for her. On Changge's part, she was remorseful and acknowledged that what she did led to events that ended up hurting Sun, and it helped her change herself for the better. They were able to hold deep/meaningful conversations and they really took each other's words to heart. Even when they didn't agree, they still listened to what the other had to say. They really cared deeply about one another. It's so sweet how they were willing to follow each other anywhere as long as they were together.

This game scene is one of a kind. Can it ever be possible for football to be played like this in reality. The speed, swiftness, smoothness, the accuracy, God! that is so amazing. I can't get enough of it👏👏
Impossible irl unless they have a special rule of no physical contact, the opposite team here is just running all over the place instead of defending like in a real game. E.g. a good defender would man mark the players and just barge them out of the way. Plus the skill level required for multiple people to give pin point accurate passes in air, whilst already running is rare even in professional football so would be a challenge in it's self just to find the players. It does look cool tho

Changa gave Sun a compliment about saving the ball from not hitting that kid. He could have just let the ball fly because it was out of bounds but he didn’t. Showing in a subtle way Sun’s good character. Changa notice it.
Yes. He prioritized saving someone(considered to be an enemy of his own people) over that of winning. That's def a sign of someone with a good heart despite his cold demeanor.

Sun is such a damn strong, mature character...and what's really impressive is that Wu Lei was only 20 when they filmed this series. He's so talented and versatile for someone so young 😊

I have never watch this Miss Dilraba’s any drama so i ‘will now..hopefully it’s good ..Am watching it because of Leo Wu who just finished watching part one of his drama with Zhao Lusi one of my favourite Chinese actress after Zhao Li Ying..Am so addicted of Chinese Dramas..It’a all so Amazing has everything..romance/love,historical/culture,Sense of humour/Comedy ,Tragedy and so on…it makes me so emotional ,cry/laugh etc..I highly noted the moral
