@@xey7459 For Derby, he has the most assists , the most shots on target and joint 1st scoring 2 goals. So far so good. Definitely puts him up there at the moment I'd say
Real ones remember Coventry in the 90s being an established Premier League side. Wee Gordon Strachan as manager, Huckerby, Whelan, Dublin, McAllister and Steve Froggatt.
As a Coventry fan, I agree with a lot of what you've said I think January will be a very important month for us We need at least 1 more midfielder, ideally someone creative who can cover for Rudoni, and we need a new starting left back, because as much as I love Jake Bidwell, he is the obvious weakness in our best 11 now. Also, Norman Bassette is going to be some player, from what I've seen he plays very similar to Gyokeres, very exciting prospect
I'll be honest my initial reaction to the headline was that you had lost your mind but the commentary around what's going wrong is spot on and really well researched.
Deserve to go up on the basis of FA Cup run last year alone. Watched game against Man Utd and Coventry robbed. Best game in the competition. BTW, am West Ham
Not sure about that. I know its very very early, but they've only won 1 in 6, and play Leeds on Saturday. They gonna need a confidence boost from somewhere
He needs to play kitching and Thomas, last season were immense our thickle fan base just don’t like that kitching can lose his head and get a red, those blokes got us to a Wembley fa cup semi final ffs,
I read a stat somewhere that so far in this Championship season, Coventry City is 21st in terms of shot conversion rate (6.5%), joint 2nd with Leeds United when it comes to big chances missed (13).
Callum think the issue is away from what’s going on on the pitch. I along with others went into this season feeling positive (I predicted us to finish 2nd ffs) Something just isn’t right. Vivash leaving so soon after Dennis Laurence. Mark Robins based off his interviews seems really fed up. To touch on the experienced players leaving, we’ve not replaced them and owner Doug King seems very against signing older players. Despite spending millions on players we will highly unlikely sell for a profit. As for the defensive change around. Robins is always keeping a back 4 together for them to have an absolute stinker so he’s changing the team with his depth in centre half. Funny considering we are crying out for a few more midfielders after losing 3 in the summer.
Sunderland second off the basis of playing 6 games and playing relegation fodder for 3 of them. Playing one top 6 side (great win I fairness).. next month will tell us a lot but they drop off badly I think
Talking so much sense man, from the defence (losing Fadz) to our midfield - we need Sheaf back and fit. Sheaf is going to make or break our season... need to keep him fit until January and then see where we are after that...
Great assessment, well researched. As a lifelong Cov fan, the one thing that is consistent for us is that we're inconsistent; brilliant one day (ref Wolves, Man U, Spurs 2 weeks ago), crap the next. 2 things will tip our season; keeping Sheaf fit and a good window in Jan. We will concede, but we will score plenty when it clicks, and it will at some point. PUSB.
Binks & Thomas is the long-term centre-back partnership I think, Kitching seems to have fallen off after his disciplinary record ruined the second half of last season, Latibeaudiere is a utility man who will play CB/RB/DM and rack up plenty of appearances.
We have an entirely new back room staff (baring Robins himself) which is probably even more of an impact than the large squad change we had last season. I'm praying that's the reason and we'll come good because we REEK
Cov fan just passing through to say Robins will be gone by Christmas and we’ll be mid table this season if we’re lucky If I’m wrong I’ll come back here and buy you a pint, gave you a like but can’t watch the whole vid cos feeling pretty bleak about my club and a lot of our fans this season
We have to maintain confidence in MR. I think it'd be a travesty to see him go that early, he's given us a lot of success in recent history even when we were playing at ST Andrews and SISU
@@richardwatts20I'm also pretty disappointed but it's our life as cov fans lol. Let's just hope we get the ball rolling sooner rather than later. I hope we do so over the next 5 games, I am hopeful we turn up against Leeds and turn it around (quite optimistic) but we need to get into the swings of things this weekend. At the minimum a good performance
Completely agree with your MR comments. He deserves the time considering what he's done. Swansea at home was an utterly woeful performance, it was mind boggling how they can go from destroying spurs for 87 mins, to looking like they've never played together before. That said, the chances are being created, it's just not clicking as you said. Even one of the players said that we create 8 or 9 chances and score maybe 1, while teams against us are making 1 or 2 and scoring both times. Cov seem to have a habit of starting slow, happened over the two last seasons. The only downside this time is we've lost alot of the older heads, which is painfully obvious when we're down 1-0 and no one is taking the game by the scruff of the neck. Hopefully you're right in it just needing something to click and can push on. I joked yesterday that we'll probably batter Leeds away then lose to Sheff Wed at home as it's a very typical Cov thing to do.
Hilarious how you think robbins is a top manager because he took a team from league 2 to champ in about 8 years but wilder is a shit manager for taking a team from league 1 to 9th in the prem (also getting teams promoted from national league & league 2 before that) in 3 years hahahaha. Bias is so funny
People always laugh at Coventry but they do have a massive fanbase for this level. There's no way that a team that sells over 20,000 season tickets with ease should be in the Championship. They got 28,000 for a League 2 game.🤷♂️
@Pete2414-r2q We had no ground, we had to go to Northampton which only had a capacity of 9000. Not to mention the boycott that lasted nearly 10 years. The fans have always been there.
Hope so, since my EFL expert said so
So real
If Callum can believe Cov will go up surely you can believe Derby will survive relegation
Slim chance Derby will go down . Unless Kayden Jackson gets injured. They need to keep scoring!
@@shahid1296ify Kayden Jackson isn't our best player, not even top 5.
