Furniture Restoration | Morris Chair

Morris chairs, such as this one, are a very early style of reclining chairs. The design was produced by William Morris & Company during the mid 1860s but the idea itself came from Ephraim Colman who wanted to make a comfortable chair with an adjustable back. Clearly the idea and design worked out amazingly well, this chair style is still being produced today!
This chair in particular needed refinishing, repair, and also reupholstery. Now it's ready to be stretched out to its full length and provide a place of respite to anyone who needs it!
