A decade ago, I moved from the UK to NZ. I regularly catch fish that most people only dream about. I doubt I'll ever go pike fishing again, but enjoy your videos immensely. Keep up the good work!
Fishing in the UK is bucket listed! We have the big pike here in Canada but those perch! Wow! Also being a multispecies guy I would be ticking off a few new species from my list. Cheers.
I know how that feels mate I lost a 4lb+ perch on a deadbait once while pike fishing it shook the hook out just when I was about to slip her into the landing net , to say I was gutted is an understatement!
You should do a video on mackerel got bait there the best full of oil and blood pike love them I've used every kind of bait mackerel have got me the bigger pike
5:18 well I think that's a roach bream hybrid, not a carp. Certainly got roach in it, and I've never heard of carp hybridising with anything but crucians
wish we could get out but can't because of the police are arresting anyone that isn't out "walking". doesn't help that my family had to isolate with one tested positive ... sucked being indoors for 8 days straight 😁 ty for uploading and keeping me sane 👍
whats the average size pike you would say are in the river near you a 20lb pike on the broads is a great fish but not mega mega uncommon and a 30lb+ is rare but doable to a life time angler esp for someone that goes as often as you do had them to 34,07lb
Average size probably 6lb in that canal theres only one known 20. And in my local river average is about 3lb and I know of one or two 20s 😅. Even doubles are pretty rare
@@The_ginger_fisherman when all this lock down is over you should travel to the broads if you can some real monsters in there it use to hold the pike and perch records for a long time
the solution to having problems with your gopro is to simply have it filming through the entire fishing session, you should pick up some more batteries and a big SD card that can store 10 hours of 60fps 1080p footage, also suggest turning off auto stabilising as it lowers image quality and sucks up battery power bigtime
He probably has all the footage...but he says that he forgot to turn the go Pro on...that's just an excuse, to try and protect his fishing location....
Excellent bro we are so happy for you and of course very jealous . And becouse of this i will not watch no more your vidéos .. Our f...k this i will but n’est time try to catch nothing please to show to every one that you are like every one of us ;)
I'm playing with him 🤣😂. He is catching so many pikes all the time Iven now wen is hard to catch one . Is this what I'm doing . So don't worry be happy 👍👌
I reckon the reason for bad camera angles is to not disclose his fishing spots...and the excuse that he "forgot" to turn the go pro on is also to avoid exposing landmarks that would identify his location....he's said it in his other videos.
Not a good idea putting a treble in the head end . A pike will take a fish head first so the hook in the head will be at the furthest point down the throat with possibly a deep hooked fish. Using baits that small one size 4 hook in the back would be sufficient. Or if you want to use 2 hooks put 1 in the tail and one in the back. There will be new beginner anglers watching these videos . Not really giving the best advice.
And i have hooked it the other way round for 2 years now And never had a deep hooked fish. Plus it looks more natural if you Twiched the fish moving forward rather than backwards.
You obviously didnt read my comment fully. I said there are new anglers watching these videos ? You may be a well experienced angler who knows when to strike etc. The best way to hook a pike is one hook in the tail one in the flank to avoid deep hooking. Also when your twitching baits its lIke lure fishing your moving the bait away from the pike . It's hard to deep hook a pike that way. But a stagnant or suspended fish sometimes the bites are shy, possibly unnoticed and timing and hook positioning is key. Watch how a pike takes a bait. Nearly always they pick it up on the flank then turn the bait or if the bait is small enough they take the whole thing.
You're a brave man fishing in these horrible conditions! I love fishing but I hate cold.. Thanks for making the ever inspiring videos man!
Came for the fishing, stayed for the ginger Tyson fury

Some really good fishing considering the conditions, take care and stay safe.
Love it - Proper winter fishing!
That was a nice 13pound pike, and he also listening when you said come on fellow
The only problem with that is hes a she. Anything over 8lb. Is 99% chance of being female.
@@royjeffery6965 yup.👍
Bravo the Men, belles vidéos, j'adore, continue...
I had an 8lb Pike on a shad in the snow two weeks ago, it was freezing but invigorating :)

Cracking footage as always, i nearly cried when i lost whats got to have been a 4lb stripey a month back on a massive half of a roach i found dead

I’m agree it’s is a hybrid, I’ve seem bream/carp hybrids and carp/roach hybrids the bream carp,is more common but I’ve caught both
Roach can hybridize with,
Rudd
Common bream
Nothing else and u can also get rudd bream hybrids 2
@@otrnr6959 there was a double figure bream carp hybrid in the Warren at Stanford’ le hope for years
Enhorabuena por el vídeo , captura y suelta 🤟
Great sport on a bitter day, well done pal. Especially that 13/14.
Very decent ginge in difficult conditions, buzzing to land my pb last Monday afternoon 18.4 buzzing!
That’s a beast, would love to catch a monster like that
Congrats on the PB buddy
You Should Add What Gear You're Using As I Want To Spart Pike Fishing
Any decent reel and medium heavy rod will do mate
Nice fish but what happened to the circle hooks?
What are those gloves u wearing?
Gotta get hyped when you see a brand new video on the channel!
What canal and stretch mate?Great video.
Size 4 trebles? Not a criticism just a query, do you not find more fish drop the bait due to feeling the hooks? Compared to size 6
Hi mate! I've seen old clips of you general course fishing on canal with a pole. Would you say your just a predator angler now?
not if you see his latest video!
Super vidéo thanks 👏👍👋🇫🇷
cool vid - as usual! Are those Beast 6000 reels any good?
Another great video mate
What rod and reel do you use for dead baiting?
Great video what are those gloves you are wearing
Abu garcia gloves
What real are you using? Thx.
Why do keep turning your GoPro off?
hi, beautiful fishs!!!
Always look forward to your videos
Do you ever get zander
Hey , try to use savage gear lip skull with dead fish instead silicon lure. Spin it really slow with some twitches !
Thank You for making dark days... Brighter Well Done you.... Tight Lines
Was that meant to be a ginger joke
Lovely pike at the end. Weather has been gash for months but I've caught well and my pb of 20.5 👍👍👍
Looked freezing, ace video still
Another great video🎣 still waiting for my first on lures this year only done a couple sessions and the lakes are very deep, here’s hoping 🤞🏻🎣
Great video catching in adverse weather conditions 👍
wow look at her tail must be some big crayfish in there
I think it might just be an injury
Its a pike eat pike world.
Good skills catching in the snow & ice for the camera👍
It looked like an American buffalo carp ???
It did actually hmm
Hey I can’t seem to catch pike in the winter got any tips?
What do you fish? Rivers or lakes or canals or all 3
You are so good......... I love pike fishing in Amsterdam..... One's again thanks for beautiful pictures
great vid
Anyone recommend best dead baits for canal pike?
I've had great success in the past with perch and eel as dead bait.
You ever fish in athy in kildare
Mup athy the canal has some Jack pike
Yea I haven't got out in a while but there does be lovely fish caught on the canal here
Great watch! :)

V hesitant takes... in Ireland we usually get violent runs.
True but it sometimes eels and perch nibbling I think can cause the float to bobble

Just connect your gopro to a powerbank instead of little batteries and you'll have all the battery you need for the day
Nice snow pike
Ive never seen, or caught, a Perch caught on a static dead.
iv started dropshot fishing in my local cut. done about 3 hours over 3 trips and can not get a sniff
So tough at the moment. I've blank last 3 trips out. 🙄
Drop shot is just an overrated fad.. There are way way way better techniques after 45years of pike fishing you'll learn them maybe...
@@tee331 not over rated at all, just another way of fishing, iv also done the pike fishing, 5 different 20s from local park pools in the early 1990s
you use steel line down by your bait
Is this in Uk?
Yes

hello just like to know what telenet you use for pike
Curios, you dont use no weights wen dead baiting? I use one but seem to not get bites. I shouldnt use one?
“ got one carp in my roach pack”... hmmmmm suspicious. I suspect someone’s pond is a carp short all of a sudden 😂😂
They probably wouldn't notice if it was that small
Your "carp" is more likley a "güster"( its a german name of the fish) not sure if there is a english variant of it
Awesome 👍
Can you put the length in as well? The amount of lbs really doesnt say too much to me as a eueopean
why is fishing so easy in the UK :(
trust me it isnt hes just using spots hes fished before
It's Easy during the Summer but in Winter it's the hardest.

Oh Lord I can't wait until people get mad about you using trash fish like carp as bait
That 13lb pike was flapping around because it just ran a marathon and then you wouldn't let it breathe
It was like that because i let it breathe. I rested it well so it was full of energy when i was showing it to the camera
Great vid but camera work definitely needs improvement..miss too many hookups by bad positioning
