    I will be forever grateful for my time as a JTAC in the air force. Taught me how to push through my fears and introduced me to some of the baddest individuals I will ever meet .

    Jtac is easily the best job in the military. I promise you. Tacp, and obviously a cct are both dope. Talking to aircraft from the ground and being there on those shoots is dope

      I served as a TACP JTAC and deployed to Afghanistan starting in 2011. Super stressful job but I’d say it’s the most bad ass feeling once you understand what it means to be a JTAC. It’s extremely difficult, though.

    I grew up in Monterey... My fathers friends from Vietnam were instructors either at Fort Ord or the DLI. My dads good friend would head down to the bars on some occasions and one night this particular friend was sitting next to a man that was telling his Vietnam experience to my fathers friend. Back story. My dads friend was a pilot that dropped danger close to a group and went blue on blue. That night at the bar he met his radio controller from that day. Lots of tears...

    We had a really cool cct attached to my team in 2018. He said jtac was extremely beneficial in training but nothing could even come close to the real thing.

    This dude is a prime example of what any heavy hitting operator should be. Didn’t embellish anything, fully knew he was all jacked up at first, and was able to learn and grow from that. That takes more balls than anything.

    I am so glad to hear positive reinforcement in our armed forces, I am also excited to hear we are training people beyond just book and controlled environments. To hear this full sim actually trigger stress in him during training was another awesome sign of how the US is def the best trained military force on earth. I would love to run these sims! (prob get my a** handed to me but it would be awesome!)

    Training can get you upto speed on how to do things, but when there’s stress it’s on a whole other level. Thankful we have men that are able to do things for our nation and to help his brothers on the ground that can determine if they come home.
    I wonder if they made the school a little more stressful to help get you acclimated to the real deal

    • @Xx-le9mx
      @Xx-le9mx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no longer JTAC school as he describes it, legacy QC is long gone. The process to become a JTAC, as per the AF, which has the highest standards, is longer and more arduous. I can promise you that the simulations performed both in a simulation as described and in field, are ran by cadre whose sole purpose is to push you and stress you in whichever way possible. You cant just got to the school, you qualify through a process and have a few courses to get through before you even qualify to what it now called strike. Even with the extra training, you are taking about a course in which the majority of the class will fail struggle in the first sims.
