    Classic Fudgy Brownies
    Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
    1 cup granulated sugar
    2 large eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder (optional for slightly cakier brownies)
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional for extra gooeyness)
    Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Mix Wet Ingredients: Stir the sugar into the melted butter. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and stir to combine.
Add Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder (if using). Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Add Chocolate Chips (Optional): Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks if you're using them.
Pour and Spread: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake; the brownies should be slightly underbaked in the center for a fudgy texture.
Cool: Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
