Defense has more obvious flaws to point out, not to mention most of the time there’s more than just one series going on. With only this on, he can dedicate time to breaking down offense.

What I learned here:
1. if you're being ignored on offense, cut, don't pop. they're not respecting your shooting, that's why you're being ignored. so cut!
2. look who's guarding you before you set a screen. this reminds me of when Lebron called out some stupid player who had Kawhi guarding him set a screen. why tf would you do that? you're bringing the best defender to switch on to the ball handler. are you stupid? same energy here. whoever is being guarded by Brown or Tatum should not set a screen for Luka.

In the first place, the Mavericks are very f*cking stupid for having Doncic take the ball up 94 feet on every possession against a full court press. Call it bad coaching, but some of that has to be on Doncic for not making a very simple adjustment.
have you seen washington and crew try to take it up? theyre turning it over/getting stripped every time because theyre too frantic and hyped up, theyre getting their lunch money taken half court.
@@wynn324, this problem exist with ball dominant players. I’m a rockets fan. This is just watching us but with a way more clutch player. The others are so dependent on the superstar bringing it up, setting the pace, creating the looks that they are crippled when defenses adjust and they need to make plays.
You have to be Lebron superhuman good to play like that and even then his results show you need more team balance.

Porzingis hasn't been better than Horford by RAPM (adjusted +/- impact) this season, his advantage is that Boston doesn't have to play its bench 20 minutes. Worth about 1 point of net rating on average.
1 point of net rating is good, but not that significant. That's why the Vegas line only changed by 1 when his injury was announced.

What's crazy is that even in these clips Luka is still creating some pretty good shots and he *was* scoring on Tatum a good amount, but yeah it's very taxing on him (especially with Kyrie is not doing anything) and he can't sustain that the whole game

His defense videos are often wrong but he's dead right on this one lol, a few people on Twitter pointed out that Kidd bizarrely decided (probably based on single game matchup data) that getting Tatum on Luka and White on Kyrie was the best possible matchup. Just super braindead stuff.
@@thatguy4354 Their role players can't consistently hit those above the break threes except by getting lucky--they didn't all regular season. Getting lucky spamming a massive number of threes you're bad at is a terrible, desperate, high variance offensive gameplan, especially when you're already down 2-0.

If they do the screen - why isn't D-live just immediately parking his ass under the rim? Luka serves him, he bumps Brown under the hoop, and he can just turn around - dunk or lay up over the mouse in the house. It really is stupid. Maxi is just - useless. Even the switch to Tatum isn't that bad cause Luka blows by him 80% of the time. But why expend all that energy!? Work smarter, not harder.
