good video. For the ladder, how do you know which numbers to plug in on the side though? like what if two numbers go into a digit then which do you choose?
Hello, start with the lowest prime number that will divide evenly into your composite number: 2, 3, 5, 7 etc. --I meant to say that in the video--..."start with the lowest prime number."
Hello, great question! I have prime numbers to 100 posted near my computer. First, I quickly checked prime numbers to make sure that 91 wasn't prime. Then I took a guess at a few numbers in my head-- then came up with the right answer: 7x13=91. Good luck!
Dave,What If I had 3 as my prime number and on the other side I had 125 and I know for a fact 125 is not a prime number because you can do 5x5x5 and the only way you can get 3 is by doing 1.5 x 2 and I may reply late because i will be doing my cats test, thank you
Hmmm..depends on the composite number you start out with to find prime factors. Try thinking of multiplying all your prime numbers to get to the composite number. Prime numbers for 125 are 5x5x5 or if you have 3x5x5x5 then your beginning composite number is 375.
This video was very helpful and easy to understand. Thank you!
