I can't thank you enough for analyzing my process of me painting my bike, I've learned a lot from the process it's helped me know hearing your word. Ill apply your thoughts and tips into my next bike I paint for sure! Thank you so much!
And also Im from Texas and I love riding my bike and I ride in the sugar land bike parks and trails. I've been inspired by you for a while to get into custom painting and whatnot so thank you for all the insight again and I'll definitely improve my skills for the next project I make!
I am totally agree with all your words. Dont give up, keep trying and finally you will succeed. Personal custom painting is the most awesome thing. Big thumbs up, nice bike.
Super nice. This young guy did very well and your comments are very interesting. I am considering painting my new bike too and I am thinking about something really personnal.
Good job, as a professional paint sprayer I know it not easy especially with rattle cans. Keep up the great paint jobs Martin, I've been painting for thirty years and I'm still learning tricks. Thanks
Another amazing video and I love that you watch videos from those who took your instructions and step by steps to create their own custom bike. Would love to see more in the future if there is someone out there who did a 3 colour or 2 colour fade as I'm tempted to do one
The youngster did a great paint job and mentioned that it wasn’t flawless. After receiving all comments, I believe he will understand that he can improve his editing and educational parts. I would say 8 out of 10. Keep it spraying dude, I like it. And for the peer. Well done, nice comments.
I think it was a good attempt, sure there are flaws but he did it.... no matter if it’s perfect, there will always be a signature of some sorts... best part is, he was satisfied and rebuilt the bike... there is always next time and it will only get better the more you try
I think he did really well for his 1st attempt, good on him for giving it a go, its inspired me to see what I can do with my old single speed aluminum frame, luckily its raw, and never painted but used lovingly regardless, I was thinking about acid etching a design into the metal, but have the 1st clue about how I might go about something like that, what do you think Martin, any ideas on how i`d go about something like that ??
How did I miss this video???? I love it when people encourage others to be creative, especially the younger generation. Having said that, I always love your down to earth, tell it like it is attitude Martin. I can't even express how much I love your work.
I think both frames look awesome!!! Good teacher and student. I have a 2011 Haro Flightline Three frame that I am prepping slowly but surely. I am trying to find more cool paint tricks like this. Any leads?
Club Mate is hipster brew. This is German Fassbrause made for real dudes. It's made in big barrels like beer in a brewery 1000 footsteps to go near by.
Man, need your help. Is lacquer paint good for Decals? Because I just want to spray my bike a clear coat so my bike looking new and I dont want to repaint it. The clear coat I bought is lacquer paint. Is it good to use over decals of my bike? Thanks.
Hey brother, I've been watching your videos for some time and I love what you do. I'm gonna be doing some rattle can jobs in the near future. Keep doing your thing!
Hey Martin, ive got an aluminium frame with complex graphics on the front and plain yellow at the back. I'd love to respray only the yellow portion. Got any videos that show how to respray only sections of a frame? Love your work mate. G
Just for safety, use eye protection when popping the Brause cap ;-) hahahah just messing with you. Nice video. I like your work, thx for sharing. I am also doing custom paint work. Regards from Dänemark Chris
Hi Ca5ualm3dia, how would you mask the bearing seats to prep for media blasting? I’m thinking of taking my aluminium bike frame to a commercial sandblaster and to not only reduce costs, but ensure my frame is not damaged, I will mask it myself (if possible). Thanks for any further info 👍
@@dwscott77 maybe use gorilla tape , the blaster should know what they are doing enough not to damage your frame , maybe talk it over with them before?
Hey, can anyone help me ? I'll buy / want to buy me a carbonframe and paint it myself . I'd like to have an effekt paint in extremely glossy shine . I saw a Bike in deep Black which turned into Brown under the Sun which was looking really good to me . The only color which I found with Google picture-search was the original color from *AUDI/VW LY8X HAVANNA-BLACK* . But on many Pictures I saw that the Metalflakes are looking really Big . Good enough for a Car but I dont know how this will look on a Bike . My ooportunities to paint are also really restricted . I'm a Truckdriver and I run Longhaul for serveral weeks I40 and I80 East to West . I thought about to use the Aircompressor of my Truck which works between 95PSI-140PSI . At 95PSI the Govenor jumps in , at 140PSI it jumps out until the Airpressure falls below 95PSI , then the Govenor jumps in again to fill back up to 140PSI . Is that enough to use a Spraygun ? Can I sand any Layer even the Basecolour-layer , how many Layers clearcoat can I paint and sand ? How long do I have to wait until I can sand a layer ? Does anyone knows how to mix a colour myself ? I'd like to use ultrafine Metalflakes , not as Big as those ones of the *AUDI LX8Y HAVANA-BLACK* but with the same effekt . Which flakes to buy , which colours to mix ? I'd also like to paint a Logo . I come originally from Berlin, born and raised there . Because I'm not really talented and no Graphic-Designer I thought about painting things like the Berlin Bear as an Emblem . I found the Logo of Berlin Arroganz on Google which is looking interresting to me , does any1 know a source of good Logos or Designs, it could be anything . I thought to paint the Logo white as a Layer under the Black-Brown - How to do that ? Maybe it would be alao looking great to paint it in a lighter colour so it differs a little bit from the Basepaint like a lighter shadow . Thx for your help !
Can you do a raw aluminum painting? Like take all the factory paint off then use an effects paint to make like a color that’s clear over the raw aluminum... I am doing this tonight to my transition bottle rocket(10 year old free ride bike, it’s still my go to bike even will a collection of newer bikes) I am sure I won’t have perfect results but I know I will learn from it and that’s all that matters besides rolling the dice and getting almost good results.... I am a gambling man, if you have a Instagram account I will tag you in the pics along the way... I don’t make videos any more sadly(latest editing studios are chineese to me)
hope u can react to my works martin, been a fan for such a long time.you are such big inspiration/influence to my works ill be happy to hear or watch your honest reaction to my diy spray painting works. thanks and godbless u etoe alpha project werkz

how would you attain a matt finish? and if you have a matt bike, what can you do to protect it? Thanks Martin in advance
Several companies, including Montana, make matte finish clear coats.

Hi i just want to ask what is the ideal grade for sand for sanding the frame hope someone answer thanks 🙂

Hey sir can I spray clear coat in my matte frame, if not why?thanks

You just went Gordon Ramsey on that poor boys paint job 🤐
Just for safety, use eye protection when popping the Brause cap ;-) hahahah just messing with you. Nice video. I like your work, thx for sharing. I am also doing custom paint work. Regards from Dänemark Chris
there is no paint stripper in the USA that can actually take pain off a frame , its best just to media blast metal frames !
