Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really happy to hear that you found the explanation helpful. Appoggio and support are key to unlocking so much freedom in the voice, and it’s a joy to share this knowledge with others. Keep working on it, and let me know if you have any questions. It’s all about finding that perfect balance!
Love the videos. keep them coming. As a heavy rocker and a lover of all music styles, you are helping me have an appreciation for opera and opera singers. When i either hear it on the radio or see it on video, i can better understand what they are doing based on your videos. You are one of the few and there's not many on YT who know what they are talking about. Your knowledge is priceless. Even in Canada, we do love all styles of music including opera. The fact you sing in different languages is amazing and that your technique is universal. One question, how do you interrupt lyrics of different language including english with the idea of vowels and the consonant? I read that most opera singers don't know how to read music so they are listening for the melody and flow of the music and words which is amazing. Just curious how you approached a song for the vocals.
Hi can you explain how to do messa di voce in the Middle high notes and dont switch in the Head voice without possibility to return in the chest voice without getting a crack ? Hope. my question was clear… 😅
Ensure strong breath support. Control the airflow, allowing for a gradual crescendo and decrescendo. That works for me - Also the Maestro Pavarotti mentioned that!. Find it on youtube.
Please suggest how to hold a note steady without sounding shaky or breathy ! Happens when I have to sing in front of someone . So they are clearly nerves but how do I overcome it ! I don’t have any issues with music theory per se or knowing how each note should sound Thank you in advance
Got roped into singing due to being a male soprano, and this video was very helpful! Also, I'm assuming I shouldn't over support with the diaphragmic muscles, and that it should never feel tense or strained. All should be loose right?
Thank you for your comment! You’re absolutely right that everything should remain relaxed, but ‘support’ doesn’t mean tension. Instead, diaphragmatic support is about controlled resistance, where you expand the ribs and maintain that space without pushing or straining. The feeling should be balanced, never forced. Where we truly need tension is on the vocal cords, the maximum possible for better results, logically, with elasticity and different levels depending on phrasing and notes. GM
Hello ! I'm a young man from Romania, only 17 years old, and I wish with all my heart to be able to sing at least half the level you sing at my parents told me that I don't have a voice, but I still believe that through execution it is possible. So please help me if you can succeed... please help
It's inspiring to see your passion for singing at just 17! Believe in yourself, practice regularly, consider vocal lessons, warm up before singing, and listen to your favorite artists for inspiration and don't let negative comments discourage you; focus on your love for music. Best of luck on your singing journey!
Hello do you have a WhatsApp that i can send you a video of this turkish singer? He sounds like a leggero tenor but also like a spinto tenor. I am VERY confused. Could he maybe be a leggero-spinto tenor? Please reply back i really want to show you the video
Hai perfettamente ragione. Difatti io ascolto sempre i cantanti dell'epoca d'oro. Quelli dopoooo no buono. Scusa eri tu in Esultate, Otello.
