It is quite tricky, you have to jump and while in air pick up the object. It won't at first because the game trys to stop you from jumping off of things you are holding but it'll grab it once you land. If you did it right the object has collision while holding onto it, you just need to hit yourself at the right angle with the object to clip through and then have the object follow. Once out of bounds you place the floatie onto the water because it floats :O then use the glowstick or egg timer as a paddle lol Hopefully this helps
