Best female RnR voice hands down. Songwriter and musician too....the real deal and full package!!
MY name is Joey,i feel like the song was written for me.drugs& alcohol ended my relationships,i feel the words,i can still hear my ex-calling my name (Joey come home, I'm not angry anymore.) beautiful song, painful to hear..
I hear you bro. My name is Joey also. I’ve been there and back. This is like the only song that brings tears to my eyes.
The first time I heard this song, well after it was released I was in Chicago on Harlem Ave before 79th street and I cried like a baby. The emotion of this song was overwhelming, and I ain't an emotional guy. Beautiful and as a man hearing this from a strong woman's perspective was just beautiful. angry, compassionate and sincere. Love the song ! And when I told all my friends about this song they said "yeah dude it was a huge hit like 6 years ago."
Can you please mail me a more elaborate detailed version if this story? Its vital that I know it.
SHEESH!!!!
Awesome dude, music gets me too, but Concrete Blond is a special band
one of my favorite songs since 1990 ! there`s just something about it that almost hurts !
How can she not b ranked among 1 the greatest of all time. Her voice n sound changed my idea of what music is. She haunts my reality & awakens my dreams. There will never be another talent such as this band.. I know u will remember cuz the music is forever..
I love her...she is simple the best
All of her music, vocals and. Lyrics= a. Master. Rocker!!!!!! BX..
Thank you for this version. My favorite since I first heard this song in the late 80s. Moves me to tears every time. Almost 16yrs sober and I miss my loved ones who didn't make it.
As if the original version wasn't powerful enough. This one really brings it to a more personal level. Thanks for posting this, it's a first listen for me. Music is so powerful and I'm always discovering new versions of classics that keep the song fresh. Reading the comments adds to the meaning of every song as well. Thanks all for sharing.
I remember looking through my tough guy drug dealer og's collection n he had this in the favorites, an epic song across all lifestyles!
The stats on this are amazing. I'm surprised on the Gender. I would of thought it would of been more female.

Probably one of the most underrated albums all time.an absolute pearl bloodletting is .the vocals r spine tingling and understated with so much pure power, that is unusual and extraordinary.
This is the best acoustic version of theirs I've heard, imho. Beautifully rendering those lines...💚
Lost my Joey a year ago in a work accident and this song was played at his funeral. I was in the USA and he was in Australia when we met Sent him this song after we met,18 years later I'm down under and do ever miss Joey.
Where in the hell have I been? This is by far the most passionate, beautiful and painfully gorgeous version I have ever heard! The pain, damn it, the pain she has. Tragic

John Swaim Hang in there man.
41 yrs. old. My wife of 6 years , 15 before marriage , just left me.
You do you , John Swaim - alright buddy. I don't know you , but unless you're a self-admitted asshole , I am certain you have friends and family that care about you. Don't be an asshole to them , whatever may be bringing you down - people care.
"I'm not angry any more" - "what a WONDERFUL world it would be"

The pain and authenticity in her voice kills me every time. Beautiful
OH MY GOD. CHILLS. Why is she not a national treasure?
I saw the question, "why is she not a national treasure?", and I was in a rush to say," to some she is". What a unique voice and I'm overjoyed that some people can deliver that and have the courtesy to leave my heart in place, so I can continue to function.
This is a deep song and the way it’s sung triggers interesting psychological reactions. This voice is one in a million...soulful and from the gut.
Such a beautiful voice

James Campbell indeed! I wonder if there’s a video recording of this somewhere? I haven’t been able to locate it yet if there is.
Listening to this song always reminds me of the lost love of my life. Her name was Dottie and she was the best in the world. Going to my grave with that loss engraved deep in my heart and soul.

Everybody has a whole in them and her voice fills it. Unbelievable.
