Best part is seeing it drive away! My buddy has been asking me to do something similar with his 81 Bronco. I'm running out of excuses, but I really don't want to tackle it.
Nice Bronco. I like seeing people resurrecting these old vehicles. Makes sense to me. They also respond to basic performance mods. And they are reliable. Well done Joe. You did a fine job. As always a real pleasure to work with you. Take care, Ed.
I have done that very job so many times… I really don’t enjoy working on any vehicle that begins with the letter F and is a Four letter word. 😂😂😂 Turned out really well well… Good job. And I really really love the video production on this one
Do you have any more footage on the build process? I would love to see more! I am currently restoring a 85 bronco and it might be helpful to see more. Great video btw!
Machinist said it needed to go .040 because of the pitting in the rear cylinders. .030 is a bit more common and offers more cylinder choices. As for footage, I didn’t film much because I figured my audience wouldn’t be too interested. Thanks for the compliment, Richard! I’m no ford guy by any means, but I learned a lot by doing this one. If you have any questions, email me at justmoparjoe@gmail.com
How much money was invested on the Bronco? I also have a 1984. That's my baby like some love Harley bikes. I'm just trying to get an idea of the cost for the rebuild.
Thanks for watching! I think he had around $5,000 for the engine build and install. I’m thankful to make this one my last ford. It’s much easier for me to stick to Mopars. The bronco is a cool platform
I’ve got my 79 little red express truck with 98,000 miles I’d like to have rebuilt . You talk about Arkansas occasionally and I wondered if you’re in Arkansas or would you take on a project like this if I brought it to you ?
@@JustMoparJoe I have used super clean before it works pretty decent. I will have to try Mr Clean. this is about the 3 or 4 time in the last year I have heard people mention this for cleaning parts.
Don't feel bad my brother has a 79 F150 I'll end up working on. Fortunately the original 400M is already replaced with a 429, unfortunately whoever did it, did it all wrong. Can't wait to race him with my 68 D200 and blow his doors off with a 318. 🤣

I have a few of those too. Now that I'm halfway to 90, I really try to avoid other people's projects when they can't be done in a day.
The worst part was the motor plate and leveling the engine to get the converter studs lined up! Crap design!
@@JustMoparJoe tell me about it...

Thanks Mike! I think TH-cam lost this one in translation or my Mopar die hards aren’t looking! 😂
Looks good Sounds good. The years of 42 miles of vacuum hose... lol I've owned a lot of Fords 👍
Thanks, Tim! I gutted most that stuff. My first time with a modulator valve. The line for it was stopped up. Cleaned out and shifts fine again.
It sounds good now that it's back into the wild
Precisely!
Love that bronco, one day il have one
Thanks for checking it out! I’m a mopar man. But this one was a neat change.
Tricky Ricky!!! He's the MAN!!!
👍🏼
Cool to see one of those Broncos again, I haven't seen one around my area for quite some time. Great video! Thanks for sharing Joe!
Thanks Mitch. I hope it doesn’t circle back for a while!
Sound's awesome Sound's like you did an excellent job, all the best to you and your loved ones
Thanks Donald! Mopar fun coming again soon!

You’re the winner! I knew I needed it, but was in a hurry and forgot it!
Joe ask the Padre for forgiveness on that BLUE thing a majiggie 🤣

I miss my 79 Bronco 😢😥
But wouldn’t you rather work on a 79 ramcharger? 😆
@@JustMoparJoe yeah but I still miss my Ford! I wanted to 429 swap it!!
Joe, may I post a link to my late father's 1958 Plymouth Suburban?
Sure!

Also what made you go with .040 over on pistons? I was thinking .030 on my 351w build. Is there a big difference?
