    You really made this look easy. Makes me a little more willing to do it myself

    I used your excellent and thorough tutorial to replace the heater core in my b5.5 Passat. You saved me big bucks! My cost was under under $250 for new core & evac/recharge a.c. Indie shop quoted $1300
    Thank You and God bless!

    Full VAG COM check, so you can fix other stuff hiding inside the dash. Good video...:)

    Any trick to getting the bolt out of end of steering shaft? I took off the 16mm nut and using a T-50 star bit on bolt head; won’t budge. I assume it rusted, currently putting penetrating oil on it. It’s the last thing to disconnect after spending all day tinkering. Thanks for the video!

    Hey! Thank you for the video, we just changed our heater core but we ran into an issue. We can’t get the key out of the ignition now. Did you run into this issue?

    • @BertsFordFactory
      @BertsFordFactory  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not but it might have something to do with the shifter interlock. Make sure it is actually in park.

    I had 2003 vw Passat 2.8L no heat on it , see the others disassembled it . I quit, but when I watched your video. It was more clear. Thanks really enjoyed. Can you tell how long it was taking you finished.

    Abrupt ending. I’d like to see it go back in. Can one strong man get it in by himself?

    • @BertsFordFactory
      @BertsFordFactory  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do this by yourself but it’s asking for trouble. Stuff is so easy to break in the tight environment.

    • @adamkorekach9936
      @adamkorekach9936 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BertsFordFactory Got it done and so glad I had help. Pretty heavy on the steering column side and we broke what looked like a small coaxial cable with a black and purple plug.
      Did you have trouble getting the plastic wiper cowl back in? Mine is clipped back in but there’s now a horrible gap between it and the windshield.

    Why Did You Have To Drain The AC?

    • @DerGolf2000
      @DerGolf2000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The AC lines are not flexible. Without disconnecting them, its not possible to move the dash.
