- Republicans gathered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this week for the Republican National Convention. It's where former President Trump officially received the party's nomination for President after receiving the votes of enough delegates. Trump also announced his running mate. The FBI and Homeland Security says the day of the Trump rally the suspect Thomas Matthew Crooks purchased 50 rounds of ammunition from a gun shop. A Saudi news channel is reporting Hamas is looking at a possible "major internal breach" after Israel's targeted strike in Gaza over the weekend. Only 24 hours following the October 7th attack, the Terror group Hezbollah began targeting Israel's northern communities with rockets fired from Lebanon. In Asia, a haven for war refugees is offering more than food and shelter. A church near the border of Burma and Thailand is not only caring for victims who fled the fighting. The Bible refers to the human body as the temple of the Holy Spirit. Even so, statistics indicate far too many Christians struggle with poor health choices.

Well, for me personally, belief in a god has the same value as belief in a flat earth. There is no evidence for either, just allegations, but believers feel attacked when you show them how irrational their belief is. Maybe people will start to question why they believe in the Christian god and not in Allah or Zeus. I think education is extremely important, as is the willingness to question things instead of filling in the gaps in knowledge with faith. It is no coincidence that more intelligent people are more likely to become atheists than less intelligent people.

The pit of my soul was moved by your broadcast. The global wars going on. We are in a spiritual war. I know this because I am witnessing this all around and within me. I feel stuck. But I pray. But my heart still feels burdened. Israel war grieves me and as a us citizen I am appalled by our current president not helping Israel.
My prayers go out to each and every one of you. I pray for a hedge of protection around Israel. I pray for a hedge of protection around the US and Trump. I pray if you are reading this and you’ve lost your way that You ask Jesus into your heart; He will guide you if you allow him to by listening…he whispers, trust in him HE is the only way. @@mselle66 You know the fact that he did say that should bring Christians to the place of asking, " what are we doing that we aren't communicating Jesus the way He should be communicated to people by our own ways and lives?" If he went there, it had to be because he saw something more there than he did in other Christian churches/Believers, and that yes, is very concerning. And maybe we are in trouble but not because he feels this way, but because maybe we aren't getting the right message to people through our ways, words, actions as Christians. We need to imitate Christ, walk in love, and in the fruit of the Spirit, doing good works until He comes. Our actions should be speaking so loudly that people are attracted to the Jesus we know and serve.
I agree with your comments. Personally I think because he changed his mind on a lot of things over the years including having a very low opinion of Mr Trump to being an avid supporter so he has left one Christian Church to join another the Roman Catholic Church so perhaps he could change his opinion again.

I was visiting my 88 year old father in Illinois when we got word of the assasination attempt and my father who despises Trump, was disappointed by his surviving!!
That's sad. A lot of people trust the rhetoric from the Dems, and have not listened to find out what is really happening in the world. May the Lord speak to him in a way he can grasp and help him see what is happening clearly, as well as what is right and good for our nation. President Trump is not perfect, and I don't think anyone would have a problem with me saying that -- but he has been the one who has worked for the good of our nation, in many ways. I believe God can use him, and will. God used David in his day, as an imperfect man -- I trust God to use President Trump again for the good of our nation. I pray that Vance will come along side like Jonathan was to David, and truly serve well in his place as VP. BTW, I do not mean anything negative about your Dad -- I used to be Democrat at one time, but God opened my eyes to see the things that were not in agreement with Him and His word -- that is what made me change my mind. I changed my affiliation in 1974, it's been 50 years now.
