    Thank you for this content- also what do for the community.
    I have to say, I feel the same about DS raw sienna vs yellow ochre.
    I have a terrible time finding the proper greens. What I mean is when I am using a reference. Trying to mix from my pallet to match. I don’t really want 20 different greens. I did enjoy the lemon yellow combinations you demo’ed.
    Thank you

      You're welcome. Did you see the custom granulating colors I mixed after? facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10228532810494947&set=pcb.3784598308331269

      @@ralphcrosby9622 So for greens try starting with lemon and cerulean or Ultra marine and then try a warmer yellow like cadmium and see what greens you get. You should be able to get a full range just from those combinations. I should make a video on it.

    so you don't see any difference in regard of paint in the water? that it get's dirty quicker?

    • @JacquelineJax
      @JacquelineJax  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really. I mainly saw a difference in how much paint I needed to use to get a concentration of color. For instance the Cerulean has fillers in it which could be your problem. Also the warmer yellows were more jelly like and the raw sienna was thick as well. With sennelier and schmincke you don't get that at all. Also granulating colors will have more sediment.

    Isn't the cerulean the pb35? If so, it is a different pigment than the chromium that is pb36 and it is very light and hard to rewet.
    (I don't like white nights, much prefer rosa gallery)

      I don’t have any experience with that brand but everybody likes something different so it’s great that you found some thing you enjoy as far as the cerulean in the White Knights the label says PB 35. But there is a Danielle Smith cerulean blue chromium that is PB 36 these are not the same.
      Is that what you’re thinking of?

    • @patriciawhitehead22
      @patriciawhitehead22 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jacqueline Jax exactly, pb35 (cerulean blue) is a very light and hard to rewet cerulean and pb36 (cerulean blue chromium) is more vibrant. Daniel Smith makes both pigments. In the video looked like you were comparing the pb35 with the pb36 as if they were the same pigments.

      @@patriciawhitehead22 Thanks for pointing that out I thought I mentioned that the white nights one had too many fillers when I compared them so I don’t think I said They were equal. But that could’ve been in a different video not sure

      @@patriciawhitehead22 White NIghts has a couple of PB36 offerings open stock but most places are not restocking them right now. When I received my White Nights pans there was a thank you note from Rosa store in them.

      @Avis Hilliard yeah, a lot of places are not buying from Russia and getting Rosa's from Ukraine right now. I did buy Rosa's and they are a delight to work with.

    The tubes are student grade?

    • @JacquelineJax
      @JacquelineJax  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are only a few colors in this set that would compare to professional paints like Schmincke or Sennelier and a few have way too many fillers to be considered truly professional. I would definitely put these in the higher student grade/ lower professional paint on Ultra-marine, Lemon, Ivory, and Carmine from this set. But the rest of this set I would consider Student grade. Lots of streaky qualities, Opaque paints and too many fillers on the more expensive hues like Cerulean.

      @@JacquelineJax so are they equivalent to the Sonnet pans?

    • @JacquelineJax
      @JacquelineJax  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eBookHoarder I haven't tried that brand. I think they are better than Coteman and some of those colors I talked about are as good as Sennelier. They compare well in lightfast rating and transparency. Plus many are pure pigment meaning they are made from one original pigment. Just cerulean isn't a true cerulean as it's got too many fillers. It's fine but you will notice that it's more opaque and thick. The color is a bit milky as well. But I still recommend them. They paint very well and I play with them often. Join our group.
