What are you knitting? I am in Lower Alabama where it is hot. I do have family in Long Island, New York, Minnesota, Ohio and Kentucky so I do some knitting for them. Also, I enjoy knitting for charity. Hats, mittens and scarfs for Warm up America, blankets for local groups. Family Village is a nursing home turned into apartments for women and children escaping abusive relationships. They are zero tolerance drugs and alcohol providing housing, education, job training in a hand up style. For myself, cardigans. I seem to always be chilly in airconditioned restaurants😂 As a multi maker, I am also always doing something Also rescued a Kittykat even though I am allergic to cat dander. Another story there. Love your podcasts! Keep them coming. You are my people❤
I am so glad you have knit worthy people in your life. Thank you for giving of you skills generously to those that need lovely items you knit. I am your people!
I love the song, thank you! I'm so similar to you on that song, and be happy, etc. I'm still 12, but, really 72. Never want to grow old. Love the blankets so much, and the first sweater you put on is really pretty!!! You are so enjoyable!!!!I love what you do with the cats and love the one you had on! love, hugs, prayers.
Hot humid FL Gulf-coast…… knitting merino wool shawl….. beautiful drape fingering weight ……. In AC…… so, it is just fine. Loved the podcast….. you are like knitting and chatting with a good friend!
I absolutely love your podcast, Julie. After watching you and your segment on the Knitty McPurly podcast, your comments on your breast cancer experience really resonated with me. YOU are my Knitty. I was diagnosed with malignant brain cancer on June 23, surgery on the 27 and thanks to our great (free) Canadian health care system, I was home on the 28th. Physically I felt (and feel) great but it was emotionally very stressful as you can well understand. I naturally turned to knitting to calm me down and searched for a knitting podcast. I turned on TH-cam and, as fate would have it, there you were. I cannot tell you how much happiness I got from your charming, fun, warm personality, the examples of all your talent along with the beautiful images of your garden and beloved Colorado. Anyway, I just wanted you to know the calming, happy impact you have had on this grateful viewer. So thank you. I can hardly wait until the next ones. ❤
After smoke filled skies and high humidity, we are now enjoying beautiful clear weather. Thank goodness because summers are way to short up here as it is. Thanks so much for asking.
Hi Catherine. I am sorry there was a stalker on here. I have reported and removed him. So creepy. I am sorry to hear about your brain tumor. I am praying it was all removed. Cancer is a journey… each day get up and get through. Check off the things you have to do to be done with it then say goodbye to it forever. Easier said than done, I know but you can do this. ❤️
Hi I am watching you from Hampshire in the UK. I made the Attic 24 cosy stripes blanket in lockdown and am finally getting on with the harmony blanket. It Granny squares, the colours are beautiful, but I don't think I will do Granny squares again. I plan to make the battenberg blanket from scraps next. Blankets are long term wips for me, my main love is knitting garments. I watch a number of podcasts you mentioned and also miss Lynne, she was a great lockdown 'friend'. Nancy from Knit Sip Happy is also great and Martyn at Knit 365. I think you would love Nikki at Knitting with Cat Hair and #Melmade. Mel makes some amazing garments. Your podcasts are great, lovely to have another one to knit along with x
Thanks for your podcast efforts. You enthusiasm is very catchy. I was initially caught by the beautiful and colorful afghans displayed as your backdrop. I love color and had not encountered such beautiful color in a crochet blanket. Anyway, I got so excited I sent your podcast to a few of my friends and they got excited too. I volunteered to place an order for your Attic 24 wool warehouse kits and have 4 arriving soon. The 4 kits are comprised of 2 Aria, a Fireside, and a Woodland kit. I invited my friends over to lunch when they arrive for the “big reveal. Thanks again.
I am laughing so hard at your very small Attic 24 order.. lol Will you email me a photo of the big reveal with your friends? TheKnittyKats@gmail.com Soo good. ♥
Delighted to have discovered your podcast. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them back to back. I love the mix of content and seeing the garden too. My Mum taught me to knit when I was younger but let it go for years. I picked it up a few years back and also learned to crochet, which I also taught my daughter. We both enjoy our crafting and go together to knitting events here in the UK. Thank you too for sharing other podcasts - many I also watch but some are new to me. I look forward to your next podcast when you have time. Happy crafting 😊
Thank you to you and your daughter. What a lifelong & joyful gift you have given her. The same gift your mother gave to you. So good that there is an ageless craft to enjoy together. ♥♥
Another great podcast! Thanks for sharing all things yarn and your knitting - - it is so much fun watching & listening! Podcasting alone is an art and you do it so well! Enjoy camping and see you next time - from Niagara region of Ontario Canada.
So glad I found you. I'll be able to say I watched you from the start. You had me with that amazing camper and will keep me with all of your talents. Love attic 44. Stripes are everything. I think you should create your Colorado blanket. Beautiful color scheme that you showed us. I know you wanted your sister to join you, and I hope to see her sometime, but you are doing great as a one woman show. Your pacing is calm and bird sounds in the back ground are pleasant. Love your choices and color palettes. You have won me over. I will spread the news of you. Please tell us about your knitting journey. Also, loved that beautiful yellow old man cat.
Thank YOU! I just might do that blanket.. I need something else to do. lol We should all take a photo of where we live and share them. Would that be something? wow. Your words are so encouraging.
Hello from lrapuato Mexico! 🇲🇽 I believe I'm the first from this side of the Border.😊 I'm so glad I found your TH-cam channel you make us feel very welcomed . not young though beginner in crochet and knitting I am. Great Podcas...t! X Maru
Love your crochet. I am a newbie crocheted but have bought the Dune pattern. I was so surprised to hear Knitty McPurly mention my Podcast on her podcast. I must have been living under a rock as she was new to me. Enjoy your podcast. Thanks for sharing ❤❤ Ps off to listen to Mercy Me.
Hi, love your podcast I have gone back and watched your other two episodes. I live in the South West of the UK Looking forward to more episodes and your refreshing style. 😊🇬🇧
Thank you for another great podcast! I placed an order in the middle of your podcast. You had me “hooked!” 🙂 I ordered the Coast Blanket for my daughter for her birthday. I know she will love it!
Hi again. Im jealous abt you getting rain. Nothing here in Rifle. Your makes are simply fantastic. Beautiful colors and pattern choices. You mentioned Rhinebeck. My hometown is south of there on the Hudson river.
Oh my.. Rifle CO? That is so cool. Sorry it is dry... it normally is. Not sure why we are getting so much rain, but I will take it. You are from a beautiful part of the world. It was stunning. ♥
It's me again, I am from your neighbor to the west Utah. I love the button behind a button for support. I like putting a piece of ribbon behind the buttons, but I think a button would work even better.
Hi Julie! Your sweater turned out great. I'm so glad it was a success, with no pills to contend with😂. I love attic24 patterns and never thought to buy a kit...genius! I've wanted to make the yuletide blanket but after seeing all yours, i may have to start a Moorland! Say ho to Deb😊
It’s so nice to find you! I just purchased 2 attic 24 yarn kits. Arrived to my home in Illinois in less than a week. Price point is so good and I got free shipping. 😃 I have the Starbright and the Moorland packs. I have little crochet experience so I figured the Moorland would be great practice working with the stitches. You have a lovely channel! Lisa 💕
Julie!! I love seeing your gardens and the mountains, so beautiful. Of course, the fiber crafts are wonderful too. You are so prolific! I can’t wait to see what becomes of those big, puffy sleeves. I think you will end up with enough fabric to make yourself a project bag or two!! Thanks for mentioning my podcast too. I am growing much more slowly than you, but that is ok because it is a slow learning curve for me. I am so enjoying watching you and having a new knitting friend! Keep it up!
Another great podcast! love your blankets. I had no idea that Attic 24 had kits. I'm very temped to get one. Love your podcast recs. I listen to a few of those too. I'm from Alabama. Currently crocheting a cotton baby blanket and some shortie socks. There is no good reason to knit a lot of cold weather clothes here. But I seem to keep buying yarn to do just that! Your cats are so sweet. We have had rescues in the past, but currently are without pets. As an empty nester it's kinda nice not being responsible for any pets or younger people. But I do miss the days, as crazy as they were, when all four of my girls were at home. Looking forward to seeing your dress alterations. I love your Rocky Mountain High colors!!
Thank You! I am going to have to do the Rocky Mountain High Blanket. The colors would be great. Thank you for rescuing. It is the best.. but it is a lot of work too! See you soon. Wink wink ♥♥
Hello from Somerset, UK. I love your podcast. I watched/listened whilst knitting on my 10 stitch blanket. I am addicted to mini skeins and this is my bid to use them.
It is just so lovely to spend time with you, thank you for sharing your time. I don't think you should feel guilty about enjoying your time since your kids left home. You have earned this time, it's ok😁. I think for blankets and baby wear your best choice is acrylic. It just makes it so easy to take care of. Your blankets are so pretty, my favorite is The Moorland. I think your idea about a blanket to match a picture from your state is wonderful. I love your sweater you did a great job felting it. The color is so good, it looks great on you. I loved hearing the thunder. I was so happy to see your kitty come for a snuggle. Take care I look forward to seeing you again.
Hi Julie so lovely to spend time with you.I’m from Manchester in the UK .My late Dad was a Yorkshire man born and bred and my attention was caught when you mentioned your husband came from Midgley.I had a very long term boyfriend back in the day who came from there and went to the little local primary school! I was so interested to see your Attic 24 collection of blankets (I have a few😅)Lucy is so talented with colour and so generous with her talent.I don’t podcast but my family appears on a UK show bizarrely watching TV and commenting ,I invariably have knitting and crochet on the go and my couch sports two or three attic 24 blankets, they often get spotted by fellow crafters!.I have liked and subscribed to your channel I loved sitting down and having a “brew” with you ,thankyou.
That is so cool. It is a small world for sure. Midgely is a dream. That valley is just breath taking. So happy to share a cuppa with you... Next time it will be from the middle of the Rocky Mountains... ♥♥♥
I just found your channel and you are so fun. I’m originally from Utah but living in Ohio. I love that you call us your people. I say that about the ones I love too. I love attic 24 I have purchased 2of purchase kits , used the yarn but don’t make the patterns. After seeing your gorgeous afghans now I want to make her patterns with her kits 😂 I look forward to more of your episodes ❤️ Julie
Hi! Here's your comment from Nevada! My name is Karen, live in Vegas since '96 but I'm a born and bred New Yorker! I''m SO glad I found you as it seems we have lots in common.I, too, love British culture, stream Brit box and Acorn ..LOVE to crochet, and I'm not a yarn snob! LOL. That's all for now but I shall be a regular watcher of Knitty Kats from now on. Thx for what you do so well and take good care😊
Hi from England. So glad to have found your podcast! I use Woolwarehouse and find it a really good place to buy yarn. Definitely looking forward to your next episode! ❤
Really loved this episode ! I love Attic 24 and the blanket patterns. Can’t decide decide which kit to purchase but I am purchasing one soon! Thanks for sharing all your projects. Watching you from Spring Hill Tennessee. I would love to be one of your knitty friends!
Hey Julie. I'm watching from Denmark. Wow a fantastic podcast you have started. I just watched all the episodes, although I should have cleaned up 😅. I can relate to pretty much everything you say. I knit, sew, crochet, spin, embroider, etc. I also have a sister who is a fantastic knitter and we visit yarn shops and festivals together, like you and your sister. Please continue your podcast ❤
Thank you for your pattern! So many ideas running through my head! I just love how excited you are and I feel the same way about knitting friends! Since you lived in Scotland and are a Creabea fan I was wondering if you ever got to visit the Ginger Twist yarn shop? I am extremely blessed to have three wonderful sons who support my knitting hobby! My one son lives in Germany at this time and made a trip to Scotland. When he was in Edinburgh I asked if he would get me some yarn from Ginger Twist. He is coming home for a visit next month and bringing with him 4 beautiful skeins of yarn for me! I can’t wait! And talk about a small world . . .since he didn’t know which yarn to choose he asked the owner. He was excited to call me to tell me she was so sweet and drum roll . . .had come from about 40 minutes from me in Hillsboro, Oregon! Knitting is truly a small world!
Oh my gosh - what a son. That is the coolest. I did go to Ginger twist - but the shop was closed and we didn’t have time to go back. It looked super cute. Lucky you!❤🎉
@@TheKnittyKats I am truly blessed! And if you know Rebecca of Creabea you may know the sweater I am knitting all my boys for Christmas. It’s her Lanark sweater!
I'm finding your podcast really interesting and love to see your garden and the nature footage too. I also had breast cancer: diagnosed 2016, aged 49. 7 years on now: seems surreal to be honest. Hugs for anyone out there struggling currently with this or in the past x
So glad you are healthy now. I don't own Breast Cancer any more. Sometimes I forget I had it. I just let it go...never to be seen again! DONE. Having said that - I know there is a huge need for support and encouragement for early diagnoisis. You are awesome. ♥
Hi Julie … I live listening and watching your podcasts they are so relaxed … you are a natural .. I feel like I’m having lunch and a coffee with a friend. I’m from Yorkshire like you’re husband in fact I knit the Happy Valley ‘Catherine’ scarf which is from the tv show Happy Valley which was filmed in and around Hebdon Bridge … I hope you managed to see the series over in Colorado. Keep up the wonderful videos. Much love Mags x
Oh Mags.... I love that name, Mags. Of course we watch Happy Valley. My husband went to school with Sally Wainwrite, so it it is super cool for him. They were not great friends or anything, but still cool. (Also Last Tango in Halifax...so good). One of my favorite shops in Hebron bridge is/was Julia's Pots. Probably not there anymore. I have many wonderful things from Hebdon Bridge. Duncan's mom lived right up the road and he took me there to impress me when we were dating in the 80's. I still have a mug from then. I will use it the next podcast. Thank you for all the nice things you said about my podcast.
Hi - lovely podcast. When you were listing podcasts I thought of Knits N Pieces - love those ladies also Leena from Another Knitting Pod, she is also in CO. I think you might too. All the best! Sheila
I like your hair, too! I love the color and the style so whatever you are doing, keep it up! I just stumbled upon your podcast and love how real you are. I am not good at knitting but keep wanting to get better and now may have more time to try. I am more comfortable crocheting. I used to love to get together with a few women and crochet but it has been many years since that time. Something about making an item by hand and the companionship while doing it! I can't wait for your next podcast!
What a beautiful site to see all those blankets behind you! I liked your Liberty of London skirt and it encourages me to make a simple skirt also. I will be going to London in August and will look for shop and “get my souvenir” ! Great idea! Last time, I bought Ching Fibres from Loops, London, (I think it was). Hubby and I had an adventure on the “tube” getting there on a very hot day in London.
I love the Rocky Mountain High colors!! Awesome!! Thank you for the Attic 24 ideas! Agree with you about animals needing to be rescued we have 2 a Dachshund and a Chi.
Nice podcast. Love the footage and the countryside. I also like being outdoor. Live in Denmark close to Copenhagen but 5 minuts from amazing nature and beach.
I am enjoying your podcast very much for the same reasons you enjoy watching others! You are so authentic and natural, it is like spending time with an old friend. I love your Attic 24 blankets, they are beautiful. I have thought of buying a kit a few times and never did, I may have to now that I have seen your finished blankets. Looking forward to your next podcast.
Just found your podcast! Great chatty video, I live in Grangemouth in Scotland but was born in Culver City, California. I’m into knitting, crochet, sewing, journaling, cross stitch and much much more. Look forward to all your vlogs. X
Hi from Australia, very entertaining podcast. We knitters, crafters, sewist/dressmakers love to see each others projects. I am in the south of Australiaso I knit lots of winter sweaters, but my sisters live in Queensland and only knit cotton usually.
Finally watching again. Maybe a third time i will sit thru it all. 😁 I have plenty of yarn for a new Neat Ripple. I like to make them scrappy, for sure. I do want a kit with Lucy's bright colors. Maybe in deep Winter, i make socks, washcloths, and squares for blankets over Summer and Autumn. Happy stitching and all the things. 💗 You are very encouraging.
Thank you for your easy conversational voice. I struggle to find pod casters (even very popular ones) that haven't reverted to a sing song voice that I find sounds insincere and unnatural. You go girl!
Dear Julie, I love your podcast and your scenery - your projects, too. I started knitting a Tolsta Tee (the fingering version) while watching your podcast. 😉 We also have two cats, live in the Mountains (the Tyrol, Austria), love to hike and are empty nesters (since 10 years already). It took some getting used to but now we enjoy our quiet - and we treasure each moment we can spend with our two children (and spouses) and our two sweet grandchildren. Sending you warm greetings and enjoy your summer. Love Christina
Awwww Christina, you location sounds beautiful. It is on my bucket list for sure. We love the same things. I don’t know what I would do without my mountains to decompress my mind, body and soul. Thank you for watching… I will have some camping next time. 🏕️
Hi Julie, here is a new country to your collection… I’m from Israel and I love love your podcast. You bring a new and fresh spirit to the world of knitting 😊with your special attitude to life as well as to knitting.
Israel 🇮🇱 🇮🇱. Your country has a special place in my heart. ❤️. Some day I will make it. It is on my bucket list. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Thanks for the new knitting /crochet podcast Julie. I lived in Colorado Springs for two years and loved it. I from and live in Nova Scotia,Canada and my Husband was very lucky to be posted to Peterson Airforce base. Wish we would have stayed longer but due to my Parents health, we decided to move back home to help them out. I am a dog lover with 4 micro mini Labradoodles. "5doodles" on Ravelry( we lost our oldest dog in May of this year). I watch a lot of the same podcasts as you do. I also watch Amy Palko ( Edinburgh, Scotland), she is buds with Rebecca and the Albanachknitter in western scotland and t"the bakery bears" in Yorkshire, UK. Need to watch your 1st episode now and subscribe...thanks again!🥰Sharon.
Thank you so much for watching. I need to check out Amy Palko for sure. I am glad that you were able to live in Colorado, but you live in a beautiful part of the world now!♥
Hi Julie! You are doing great! I am really enjoying your podcast, thank you for sharing. My name is Kathy from Texas. I have always crocheted and wanted to learn to knit, so I finally got it figured out, I have been knitting for 2 years now and I love it. Thank you for sharing your Fav Podcasters. Hope that you will continue. Such inspiration! Thank you
Your podcast was a joy to watch. You are very entertaining and I love your enthusiasm for knitting. I too watch a lot of knitting podcasts and we seem to enjoy the same ones. I was born in England and will be purchasing a kit to make one of the lovely crochet afghans. Not sure which one yet ..maybe have to get two, I will make sure I get the pattern included. Looking forward to the next podcast. Thanks for sharing your crafty life😊
Just found your podcast today. Love the segment on the blankets. I live in south central Nebraska so now you have a comment from Nebraska lol. My brother lived in Ft. Collins for about 35 years so I made a trip to Colorado about once a year. Sadly, he passed away so I haven't been back to Colorado for eight years. It's a beautiful state though and you are lucky to live there. I have two cats who were both rescues so we have that in common too. I look forward to seeing more of your makes in the future.
I loved ❤ this podcast so much. I had to pause you so I could buy a kit! I had 3 in my cart, but I ordered one for now. Hydrangea kit. The price is incredible! I’m so excited! You are such a delight to listen to.
These first two replies are not from me. I think there is someone trying to pull something. If you do not know this person - please email me @. TheKnittyKats@gmail.com. Or just reply to me here and I will report them. I am so sorry. Thank you for commenting on my video. You are very sweet and I will be angry is someone is messing with my people. ARGH.
I am a true Attic 24 fan!! I have the granny stripe blanket kit, and I have made the Yuletide and Harbor!! Love the kits, its so quick and easy, and the shipping is so reasonable to get it to Alaska!!
I love your comment - “You’re my People” because I like to feel I belong . It’s so positive to belong to your people. You have a great podcast? Keep it going!!
I enjoyed your podcast very much. Watching from Maryland and missing Colorado very much. Maryland has its benefits, though, including the MD sheep and wool festival. I’m so glad you decided to love your lemonade sweater and I do think that a bit more felting will help it to get into the shape and size you are looking for. I am much more a knitter than a crocheter so I won’t be buying one of those blanket kits but I hope to finish up a couple of knit blankets I’ve been working on soon. I enjoy your joy surrounding life and needle work and fun activities. So many people don’t appreciate what the have each day because they are struggling to get to the goal. The journey can be long and bumpy so you should enjoy the trip. I am a breast cancer survivor and really try to savor each day, my husband and my crafting. Enjoy yours and have a great camping trip.
I agree about rescues and watching online videos. It does break your heart. Love your channel and I notice you have over 1K subbies in a short space of time. Kudos to you. Tku for the Wool Warehouse link.
What a lovely episode! I love that you adopted these three cats, not to mention how cute Dante is (I hope I got the name right!). Your blankets are beautiful, your cardigan turned out so nice - I enjoy all your self-mades! Love from Germany
THANK YOU! You are so kind. My old Fella is named Dulce de Leche. Dulce for short. But he is deaf... do you can call him Dante. He just likes the love. lol♥
Hi from Arvada Colorado! I was so excited to find you and hear all the local stuff. I was just at My Sister Knits this past weekend and I also went to a retreat with Fingerplay at Yampa Valley Fiberworks several years ago. I’m taking a class this week at Longmont Yarn Shop. My LYS is Tangled Ball at the Edgewater Public Market (20th and Sheridan). Love all your crafts, I am a knitter and quilter. Hope to run into you sometime at a local shop. You should definitely come visit us at Tangled Ball! Thanks for sharing all the things Colorado! Judy Mahala
I am way behind in watching, but we were on a cruise to scandanavia in July. It was lovely and would be a great place for a knitting trip. I now live in Georgia where we have no LYS. Watching “My People” in the podcast really helps to feel connected. I have found some local knitter as well. Love your podcast, outside, enthusiasm and joy.
Yay! I found the second podcast and thoroughly enjoyed it! I would love to see what you did with the pretty flowered dress at the end. I really enjoy your voice and sit here at the computer with my knitting. Its been warm there but I live in San Francisco and summer can get rather chilly. Of course that makes it ideal for knitted garments!
Yay! Thank you! I appreciate you comments. Well... what a coincidence... I have my dress on today at work. wooo hoo. It is sooooo funny what actually happened. Stay tuned... ♥
Hello Julie. I hope you are well. I'm so glad that I've found your TH-cam channel 😊 My name is Suzanne and although I originally come from Derbyshire, I have lived in Halifax, West Yorkshire since 1987 - I'm just 4 miles from Midgley & 7 miles from Hebden Bridge. I share your love of Attic24 patterns. I have been lucky enough to meet Lucy. She lives in Skipton & attends a knit group there, where I met her several years ago. She is just so lovely. I've also seen her at Yarndale. I really enjoyed making her Yuletide blanket - such beautiful colours. I've made quite a few neat ripple blankets (all sizes) which are great for using up leftover yarn. Stylecraft Special DK is my favourite acrylic yarn for blankets - soft, easy to care for & an amazing range of colours. I love your idea of a 'Rocky Mountain High' blanket! Have you heard of Knitters Paradise at Coldspring Mill, Cullingworth? (between Halifax & Bradford) You can find them on Facebook (you should go when you next visit England - it's a beautiful old mill - the upper floor has walking gear - coats/footwear etc and downstairs is jam packed with yarn bargains suitable for all budgets 🧶) I've made 2 DK Tolsta Tees & I'm literally just working on a fingering weight stripy one as I watch your podcast 😊 (PS I've just followed you on Instagram) All best wishes xx
This is an awesome comment. Thank you so much. You may know my husband and also, one of his mates moved here from there. They all went to Sowerby Bridge high school. I will connect on instagram. YES... I have a list of yarny things to do next time I go. His mom sold the farm in Midgely. It was too much as she aged. She lives near Doncaster now - buy my husband's best friend still lives there and we need to get back. I did go to Salt Aire once while visiting, but Knitters Paradise sounds fantastic. Thank you. for watching. ♥♥
I'm in Arkansas & I'm still knitting on everything, just indoors in the A/C. I am a podcaster also & love most all of the podcasts you have mentioned. Really enjoyed your podcast!
Good morning Julie! I am enjoying your podcast. I also went to the Knitty McPurly retreat and we met there. I am looking forward to your future podcasts. I just bought the Tolsta Tee. I just bought a fingering weight yarn on vacation and wondered what to do with it.
Wonderful! It is the perfect pattern for that. Super easy. I hope to finish mine in the next few days. Enjoy yours - it will be a classic top. ❤😊. I hope we all get together again. What a great time that was.
😂😂😂😂😂 my daughter sounds like your kids she has put me on a yarn ban. Somehow it's not working. Seeing your kits from Attic 24 can't wait to order one. Enjoy your podcasts.
Love your podcasts. I started off watching episode 1, then watched your introduction, followed by episode 2. I really enjoy your content, and I appreciate the time and effort you take to film them. Keep them coming 😀 I'm watching from Perthshire in Scotland, where I live with my husband and our Ragdoll cat. Our children are grown up, and we have 1 grandchild. Hazel
I'm really enjoying your podcasts! I'm watching from upstate New York. Thank you for all the podcasts ideas. I watch several of the same but also found a few new ones as well. Enjoy your empty nest freedom & quiet for now. We did but now have 6 grandchildren including a set of soon to be 5 yr. old twin girls. Our quiet is gone, the neat house is gone but we wouldn't miss it for the world! I'm currently knitting socks for the twins to start kindergarten, 9 pairs done & 1 more pair to go.
I loved this episode. You’re a natural! I’m also making the Tolsta tee but I’m afraid mine might be a little big! I just wanted to say that you are so easy to listen too. I do feel like you’re my knitting friend 😊 Thank you for taking the time to podcast!
Another fun episode! I'm really excited to watch some of the podcasts you recommended, I have only watched a couple of the ones you mentioned, so there are many new ones to try! As a knitter on the Florida Gulf Coast (near Destin), I knit a lot of fingering weight garments for myself, many of them short-sleeved. But as our winters can get a bit chilly and we travel to visit family in colder parts of the country in the winter, I do have a few heavier long-sleeved sweaters. My husband and I often talk about retiring some place colder so I can knit more sweaters and wear them more often. He is so supportive of my knitting hobby. But we're many years away from retiring so I'll continue to knit lightweight garments until then!
Hello from Kansas. Another fun podcast! ❤ your cats story. I loved seeing all your crocheted blankets and I’m even more inspired. I’m still hoping to recreate your Cupcake blanket’s colors, but I’m working on my second Habitation throw in Hue Loco yarn for my twin granddaughters due in September at the moment.
I just found them all. I will put in the next podcast - should be out next week. If you want them sooner, Please email me. TheKnittyKats@gmail.com I will get them to you.. ♥
Great job!!. I knit, crochet, have done quilting, tatting, and embroidery. I have a Chinese crested powderpuff, and a rescue Maine coon. As big as my dog. Lol. Love them both. Glad a found your podcasts.
so glad i discovered your podcast, I was taught to knit from my grandmother and mother but never took to it, I crochet a lot. Watching knitting podcasts to give me courage to try again, from the NC coast...keep it going!! you are great!
I love your videos and that they are outside and was waiting for the next episode to come out. I am in the UK and have almost completed the Yuletide, it is a beautiful blanket and it's a lovely size with beautiful stitches. I'm planning on doing the Yuletide in the Moorland colours next. Your Rocky Mountain High blanket design is beautiful, I hope someone designs it. I'm a crocheter and dabble a little in sewing but I'm not very good at it yet. I love your cardigan, it's beautiful and Peace Fleece is a wonderful name♥️
Thank you Louise. I need to get on my Yuletide. The colors are divine. Someone suggested a CAL with the Yuletide for the Holidays. That would be fun. ❤️
I am loving your podcasts! Thank you!
I seem to always be chilly in airconditioned restaurants😂
As a multi maker, I am also always doing something
Also rescued a Kittykat even though I am allergic to cat dander. Another story there.
Love your podcasts! Keep them coming. You are my people❤
I am so glad you have knit worthy people in your life. Thank you for giving of you skills generously to those that need lovely items you knit. I am your people!
Hello from Sweden. Thank you for a great episode
Thanks for watching! Hello Sweden ♥
Blessings to you! What nice things you said to me. Wow. I am humbled. Maybe we will reach puberty at the same time LOL ♥
@@TheKnittyKats Hahahaha, that was so, so funny and a great goal.🙏💕💗💓
The felted sweater looks good! Perfect for weekend wear! That Liberty of London fabric is very nice fabric. It is worth the cost.
Thank you. Yes I agree. I bought two more yards when it was on sale. I didn’t know it ever went on sale. 🙌🏻
Hot humid FL Gulf-coast…… knitting merino wool shawl….. beautiful drape fingering weight ……. In AC…… so, it is just fine. Loved the podcast….. you are like knitting and chatting with a good friend!
We ARE friends. We have the common bond. I imagine you need something warm to throw over your shoulders. Thank you for commenting……. Heart ❤️
In estero. Sisters in humidity. 😂
yes!!
Great podcast thank you
Thank you. 😘
Thank you. Where in the world is Lynne ? Lol
Thank you so much! You are sooo sweet. ♥
🇲🇽 I believe I'm the first from this side of the Border.😊
I'm so glad I found your TH-cam channel you make us feel very welcomed . not young though beginner in crochet and knitting I am.
Great Podcas...t!
X Maru
Welcome aboard! Thank you soooo much!
Well I need to watch your podcast. I will do that. ♥
Hi, love your podcast I have gone back and watched your other two episodes.
I live in the South West of the UK
Looking forward to more episodes and your refreshing style. 😊🇬🇧
Thank you… your encouraging words mean a lot to me. ❤️
What a lovely, colorful background!
Thank you. 😘
Thank you for another great podcast! I placed an order in the middle of your podcast. You had me “hooked!” 🙂 I ordered the Coast Blanket for my daughter for her birthday. I know she will love it!
This made me laugh. Aren't crafters funny? Sometimes we just need things. LOL
Love it!! A ribbon works too! Might be more pliable. ♥
Oh thank you! I think you should definitely get a kit! lol Hope you guys are keeping super busy! ♥
Lisa 💕
I am so glad you bought the kits. They are such good value and with free shipping … practically free. 😉. Thank you for watching. ❤️
Keep it up!
You are so welcome! Well that dress will be my next reveal. lol
Geez - I share your addiction. Not sure I have enough to do at blanket yet though. That is a lot. ♥
I purchased the Sweet Pea. Oy! I still haven’t started it. I’ve done others. I love them. Welcome to TH-cam. Best of luck moving forward.
Thank you so much!! let me know if you want the Doc I put together for that one. There is no printed pattern. email me TheKnittyKats@gmail.com ♥
I'm from North Carolina. ❤
Welcome. Thank you for watching. 🎉❤
Thank you! So sweet. I am very happy to share my time with my new friends. I do love my old kitties. The are so grateful. ❤️
After seeing your gorgeous afghans now I want to make her patterns with her kits 😂
I look forward to more of your episodes ❤️ Julie
Thank you for watching Julie… Yeah. Make the kits. It is so much fun. ❤️
@@TheKnittyKats I love you camper blanket. What pattern is that one?
Cupcake ♥
I love the blanket idea you have! And I added the moorlands to my favorites ❤
Oh good, I am glad you liked it… I have a lot of dreams like that one.. lol. 😘
Thank you.. If we lived closer, we could knit, drink tea and watch our British shows!! We would also need a cat or 4 ! lol ♥
Hi from England. So glad to have found your podcast! I use Woolwarehouse and find it a really good place to buy yarn. Definitely looking forward to your next episode! ❤
Wonderful! Thank you very much for watching ♥
I think your podcasts are great. Very fun, love your blankets. Keep it going. Love from England.
Thank you so much! I love my British knitting friends. ♥
Really loved this episode ! I love Attic 24 and the blanket patterns. Can’t decide decide which kit to purchase but I am purchasing one soon! Thanks for sharing all your projects. Watching you from Spring Hill Tennessee. I would love to be one of your knitty friends!
You are so welcome! YOU ARE my knitty friend.. For SURE.. Thank you... ♥
Oh thank you! I appreciate youo watching. Knitting sisters are the BEST! ♥
@@TheKnittyKats ❤️
Enjoyed your podcast so much - from the gulf coast of Alabama!
Awesome! Thank you! I appreciate you watching my Alabama knitting friend. ♥
I love that one. ♥
Thanks, from outside Bergen
Oh Hooray. More knitters from Norway!!🎉
Much love
Mags x
Sheila
Thank you... I need to tune into these new mentions for sure. ♥
I love your episode! Thanks for recording. I would love to hear about your spinning journey and your wheel (s).
You got it! I will do that... It is also a funny journey. Actually everything about me is funny...LOL!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you commenting. Welcome to the Knitty Kats! ♥
Adventures in London to shop for fun things… I could do that. Have a great time. ❤️
I so enjoy your podcast - look forward to watching more.
Thank you. I will be camping next time.. 🏕️ ❤️
I love the Rocky Mountain High colors!! Awesome!! Thank you for the Attic 24 ideas! Agree with you about animals needing to be rescued we have 2 a Dachshund and a Chi.
Thank you for rescuing. You are a hero.
Nice podcast. Love the footage and the countryside. I also like being outdoor. Live in Denmark close to Copenhagen but 5 minuts from amazing nature and beach.
Awesome! Thank you for watching. Denamrk is ON MY LIST! I need to get there. ♥
Thank you so much! Well I think you should. What else will you do on a cold winter day?
Thank you ! You are a delight!
What a nice thing to say. Thank you! ♥

Welcome aboard Scottish Friend. I just love that place . You are so lucky. ♥
Those blankets are beautiful. I wanted to order them all! But I ordered the Hydrangea😊😊
Glad you like them! That is a really fun one! You will enjoy it. ♥
Hi from Australia, very entertaining podcast. We knitters, crafters, sewist/dressmakers love to see each others projects. I am in the south of Australiaso I knit lots of winter sweaters, but my sisters live in Queensland and only knit cotton usually.
Wonderful! I appreciate you watching and I am so glad you are able to wear your knits!!
I love your podcast, I also enjoy Wool and wine podcast they make beautiful sweaters!♥️♥️
Glad you like them! I will check out the ones you suggested. ❤😊
Thank you! It is so much fun to hear from everyone. Good luck with your blanket ♥
Thank you for your easy conversational voice. I struggle to find pod casters (even very popular ones) that haven't reverted to a sing song voice that I find sounds insincere and unnatural. You go girl!
What a nice compliment - Thank you!❤
Dear Julie, I love your podcast and your scenery - your projects, too.

Thank you
You are soooo sweet. I am glad you are finding value and some fun too. ❤️
So love your podcast. Have crocheted for years but want to start knitting. Retiring and that’s my retirement goal.
Wonderful!
I audibly said owwwww when you said peace fleece. Because my fair isle sweater is bybthem too and it is big too! I will definitely felt mine now.
I'm from Las Vegas and its 112 here. I'm knitting tees and shawls and socks. All sweater knitting are in hibernation 😅
Oh yes do try and let me know. I did put fabric softener in -just a pinch and it softened it up. ❤️
Hi I just found your podcast, it really to meet someone with the love of knitting. I'm from the UK.
Awww Thank you. I love making things. ♥♥
Thanks for sharing your crafty life😊
Wonderful! Your words are joy to me. Thank you. ♥
Thank you very much. I needed Nebraska! I am sorry to hear about your brother. Very hard indeed. Come back sometime for a weekend to yarn shop!! ♥
Bought the Attic 24 Blanket! I like granny squares , so will make it. The process was so easy. Thank you! Great podcast!❤️
You are so welcome! Which one did you buy?
I am a true Attic 24 fan!! I have the granny stripe blanket kit, and I have made the Yuletide and Harbor!! Love the kits, its so quick and easy,
and the shipping is so reasonable to get it to Alaska!!
Oh my.. you need blankets in Alaska!!! How beautiful!
Lovely again greetings from Edinburgh
Awwww my beautiful Scotland 🏴 ❤️
I love your comment - “You’re my People” because I like to feel I belong . It’s so positive to belong to your people. You have a great podcast? Keep it going!!
THank you... I really mean it. I already miss you all. I am taking you camping this weekend with me. ♥♥
Thank you Linda! This is a sweet and encouraging comment. AWESOME job get that cancer OUT! ♥
I agree about rescues and watching online videos. It does break your heart. Love your channel and I notice you have over 1K subbies in a short space of time. Kudos to you. Tku for the Wool Warehouse link.
Thank you so much! I am having fun. Share your blanket choice when you decide.

Wow. We need to have a Colorado Knit up! That would be sooo fun. Maybe at the Estes Park Wool Festival next year...
I'm so glad that I've found your TH-cam channel 😊
My name is Suzanne and although I originally come from Derbyshire, I have lived in Halifax, West Yorkshire since 1987 - I'm just 4 miles from Midgley & 7 miles from Hebden Bridge.
(between Halifax & Bradford) You can find them on Facebook (you should go when you next visit England - it's a beautiful old mill - the upper floor has walking gear - coats/footwear etc and downstairs is jam packed with yarn bargains suitable for all budgets 🧶)
I've made 2 DK Tolsta Tees & I'm literally just working on a fingering weight stripy one as I watch your podcast 😊
(PS I've just followed you on Instagram)
All best wishes xx
This is an awesome comment. Thank you so much. You may know my husband and also, one of his mates moved here from there. They all went to Sowerby Bridge high school. I will connect on instagram. YES... I have a list of yarny things to do next time I go. His mom sold the farm in Midgely. It was too much as she aged. She lives near Doncaster now - buy my husband's best friend still lives there and we need to get back. I did go to Salt Aire once while visiting, but Knitters Paradise sounds fantastic. Thank you. for watching. ♥♥
On the button it’s called a shank, and I love buttons too. This is great. 38:49

That is awesome! Let me know which one(s) you order. After all, you are already paying for the shipping. Lol 😂❤🎉
Love your podcasts. I started off watching episode 1, then watched your introduction, followed by episode 2. I really enjoy your content, and I appreciate the time and effort you take to film them. Keep them coming 😀
I'm watching from Perthshire in Scotland, where I live with my husband and our Ragdoll cat. Our children are grown up, and we have 1 grandchild.
Hazel
Awww sweet Hazel. what a cute name. I love Scotland ♥♥♥
I just purchased Lucy’s Fireside Blanket kit! 😃
That is such a pretty one!
Oh my you are sooo busy. I am sure the love what you knit. ❤️
Bought the Attic 24 Dune blanket! Love your podcast!

Thanks for watching from the the Netherlands. What a lovely part of the world you are from. ♥♥
I LOVED the comments from your kids!! Your video quality is great and your garden is so beautiful! Happy to have found your podcast.
Thank you so much! THOSE KIDS!!!! lol ♥
Lighter garments are just as fun!
Thank you… let me know if you want the colors I picked. I kinda messed up the cupcake pattern, but messed up evenly so I am going with it…lol
@@TheKnittyKats I’d love to know what colors. I’m also thinking about the Yuletide kit from wool warehouse, so festive.
Yeah for animal and yarn lovers. They kind of go hand in hand. Thank you for watching. ❤😊
so glad i discovered your podcast, I was taught to knit from my grandmother and mother but never took to it, I crochet a lot. Watching knitting podcasts to give me courage to try again, from the NC coast...keep it going!! you are great!
Knitting and crocheting are such a cool thing to do….. you are on the right track. Just show yourself grace as you learn. ❤️
I just ordered the Yuletide. Can’t wait to get it!
Hooray!
