I wish we had hints of him having a crush on her before the dark lighter came about. I felt like it was out of the blue as far as the writing execution of it lol but I do love them together and hope they remain end game.
See and I saw some hints of him liking her in the first season, so I didn’t feel like it was out of the blue for him. Maybe slightly out of no where for her in like the last episode of season 1.

Originally I wasn't completely against Macy and Harry as a couple idea, considering I was hoping they could at least fix issues I had with Piper/Leo's relationship in OG Charmed. However I was not a fan of the angle they took, firstly love triangles are just stupid and second it turns Macy and Harry into both unlikable characters throughout the entire season. Macy spends her time being jealous and paranoid and Harry is annoyingly trusting of Abigael while not exactly treating Macy the best either. Sure I get the appeal of adding tragic/chaotic moments in a couples life, but it only means things when they had time to be a couple so that the chaotic moments mean more, yet since they've liked each other its constant chaos that isn't fun to watch.
I also don't like how Macy's love of science got shafted in favor of her entire character being centered around this love plot. It goes against the whole "Strong women of color" notion the show had and isn't good for the character. Macy being my favorite character in the reboot deserves better. She was so good in Season 1!
Don’t worry, they are bringing back Macy’s love of science and scientific career back this coming season, the first 3 episodes are just finishing the arc they began in S2.
I think due to them being in hiding & being focused on witch stuff all the time, it allowed us to see all of the characters in a more vulnerable setting and that co-mingled with the romantic sub-plot nicely. Could they have done better there? Of course but that’s the thing with hindsight, plus I think they were still figuring out their groove and the new darker vibe the show had taken. Thankfully the inconsistent writing is mostly behind us now.
Hopefully this season, we will be getting more growth for all the sisters in other areas now, although I wouldn’t mind a real, viable option for Mel who seems to consistently get screwed in the romantic arena. 🙄
as a woc i completely disagree. i think the writing in this show in general chould be stronger but i don't think their love story is the issue and woc deserve to see themselves represented as both strong and capable of having compelling romantic relationships.
