"SOTW" has been covered by numerous garage bands. There are many great cover versions with male vocalist. Julie's is not the definitive version, however it's a great cover featuring female vocals. The vocals and the sound of the Hammond set this apart from the others.
Jules is wonderful with this song. Thank you David S. for turning me on to Brian ,Julie and trinity. 1971 was for me the best and that 68 jaguar to ride in,Wow!!
this is my favorite version, I actually heard this when I got home from Vietnam and a friend of mine put it on the turntable. I had never heard the song before by anyone. turntable. I had never heard the song before by anyone.
A friend's Facebook page had a song about Season of The Witch and I remembered something from 56 years ago. My mother played it to death and I remember the songstress was named Julie and that's how I wound up here.
I loved her looks but thought she was a model, didn't know she was a singer. But, she must have really wowed me to remember her all these years from one or two fashion features and a few album covers.
Julie didn't leave the music scene. She just married another surname. Check out Nostalgia 77 feat. Julie Tippetts. Nostalgia 77 Feat. Keith & Julie Tippett - Rainclouds
I had a witch send me a contract for my latest invention. I caught on as he said he was a Dr based in central Africa asking for $12g US up front. I figured he was a witch dr in his underwear in his moms basement rec room in NY NY. My friend laughed so hard then tonight I thought of this fab song and her admitting her hair style was self cut with nail clippers?
Pretty darn awful. I guess I don’t like that style of vocals. It’s a tacky rendition of psychedelia, in my humble opinion. I say this as a classically-trained singer with 6 original rock albums under her belt.
This song is more than 50 years old, still way more cooler and authentic than most of today's Music.
This music was not totally owned by megaconglomerates!
This rendition of Season of the Witch has been a favourite of mine for over 50 years. Still as fresh as when I first heard it. Electrifying.
She should have been bigger. Every performance is breathtaking. 🖤🖤🖤
As a young man I found her mesmerizing.
Julie Driscoll wow, sings every letter of every word, her and Auger finding each other is timeless.
All these years and there's never been another..
Meilleur chanson de tous les temps.

How magnificent is Julie Driscoll and what a great version of this tune. Inspiring and psychedelic at its peak. Thanks for the post.

Good, but Donovan’s version is the definitive one.

So long ago that it's a bitch....
