Kit, as an example- plays a character whose storyline is "your identity is what you determine and for you to share when you're ready" and then people are badgering him about his sexuality, posting creepy shipping stuff.... I may make observations about the potential for the role to be reflected in reality, but I always leave room due to the fact that contracts and careers are impacted by a person's relationships, and vice versa... Which means that anything seen outside of the role is potentially motivated by their contract or to further their careers.

If anyone actually ships the real people, damn, get help. It can make friendships really uncomfortable and weird. There isn't always a clean line between a person and a character they're playing. Of course, usually in films, the actor portrays a character that is not quite themself, if not, completely different, and has had a different life with different experiences, at least to an extend. Just because Joe Locke seems really similar to Charlie, doesn't mean he has romantic feelings for Nick or Kit Connor. It's not the same. Same goes for any other big personalities like influencers, just because they're good friends and may play characters that share a few more intimite moments, doesn't mean you can ship them, they still have their own private life. Of course, if any "ship" actually turns out to be a thing, good for them, if not, who cares, it's their life.

They'd make a sweet couple IRL and I really hope to see them back for season 2 and possibly season 3 since volume 3 of the book is dominated Paris and volume 4 is dominated by their love for each other.

Regardless of the casts sexuality, which does not interest me in the slightest (that is their story to tell when/if they choose to tell it) I weirdly get the feeling that Kit and Joe don't actually get along well, and I don't mean in a relationship sort of way (bc again could care less about that.) I mean I don't think they get along well as humans. They just seem to rub each other the wrong way. I don't believe outside of Heartstopper they'd actually be friends. When I watch them i interviews, it really feels like they're making an effort to get along for the sake of the show. They just don't seem to vibe well together. Chemistry is perfect in Heartstopper though, so they're darn good actors. Just my opinion.

What sets this show apart from other queer series is that it doesn’t associate the LGBTQ community with any stigmas like sex-and-drug addiction, violence, infidelity and promiscuity. Rather, it shows the audience that queer people are no different from us. They hang out, go to parties, sleep over at friends’ houses and talk about their future…they live their lives like anyone else and most may even battle with problems that are insignificant to us. What really astounds me about this show is that Nick and Charlie fall in love against all odds. Bear in mind, they’re minors. Yet surprisingly, they’re able to find the courage to make compromises, adapt to each other and work hard on nurturing their relationships. They genuinely care and understand each other. Not for any self interests or purposes. But for pure LOVE. Some of my friends think their relationship is too good to be true. But I think this is the goal we all should strive for. Heartstopper is now being made into a third season from book 3, but there are still 4 and 5 books that could be made into seasons, my guess is that when the series is so popular, maybe there could be two more seasons.

With the interviews of kit and joe, you can definitely notice that this series has made a definitive impact on him and at moments you can see them checking each other out as if they're still in character from the show. They'd make a sweet couple IRL and I really hope to see them back for season 2 and possibly season 3 since volume 3 of the book is dominated Paris and volume 4 is dominated by their love for each other.
Personally. I don't think shipping Joe and Kit is a good idea cause they're the actors and not the roles. If you think they'd make a sweet couple please keep that to yourself cause it could make others uncomfortable.

And not posting about a relationship doesn’t mean it’s secret, it just means it’s their business and they know that would no longer be the case if everyone got an inkling..

i don't understand why people are like this. first of all, nobody in the cast has to come out or say if they're single or not, or what their sexuality is...that is none of our business. second, saying that "kit fans" are curious and trying to figure out kit's sexuality isn't right. if they were fans, they would respect kit and give him his time and privacy. lastly, nick nelson is not a gay character in the show, he's a bi character which means a lot in the show. i hope the cast members keep their privacy because "fans" and people like this need to respect them.

Two the character Isaac Henderson dose kind existed in the books he was pretty just redesigned a bit or I may be wrong but he seems to be the character Aled first seen in the mini comic: moments then later seen in chapter 3-13 at charlie’s birthday party
Regardless of the casts sexuality, which does not interest me in the slightest (that is their story to tell when/if they choose to tell it) I weirdly get the feeling that Kit and Joe don't actually get along well, and I don't mean in a relationship sort of way (bc again could care less about that.) I mean I don't think they get along well as humans. They just seem to rub each other the wrong way. I don't believe outside of Heartstopper they'd actually be friends. When I watch them i interviews, it really feels like they're making an effort to get along for the sake of the show. They just don't seem to vibe well together. Chemistry is perfect in Heartstopper though, so they're darn good actors. Just my opinion.

I don’t believe that’s true lol. It’s just a way of balancing out being so incredibly romantic on the show and not being in real life. They just tease each other. I did the same with my best friend when we use to hook up. We were extremely romantic in bed but outside of that we would just bully each other the rest of the time.

Tao’s name is pronounced completely wrong repeatedly and referring to Nick as a gay character is blatant bi-erasure.
What sets this show apart from other queer series is that it doesn’t associate the LGBTQ community with any stigmas like sex-and-drug addiction, violence, infidelity and promiscuity. Rather, it shows the audience that queer people are no different from us. They hang out, go to parties, sleep over at friends’ houses and talk about their future…they live their lives like anyone else and most may even battle with problems that are insignificant to us. What really astounds me about this show is that Nick and Charlie fall in love against all odds. Bear in mind, they’re minors. Yet surprisingly, they’re able to find the courage to make compromises, adapt to each other and work hard on nurturing their relationships. They genuinely care and understand each other. Not for any self interests or purposes. But for pure LOVE. Some of my friends think their relationship is too good to be true. But I think this is the goal we all should strive for. This is something we as human beings should learn and appreciate. And I do wish everyone of you who read this comment will get the love you deserve eventually.
