Amazing edit! I was hooked watching this amv, the timing made it a fun watch. Also, I think Sorey is still one of the coolest protags around. Maybe the combination of humans and celestials is a counter-trend given the onslaught of so many half-demon, half-human heroes in mainstream anime fantasy, but it's the thing that made this one so memorable and unique in its own way. All the characters are endearing and are not trying too hard to give you that over-the-top drama and angst that seem to be the usual ingredient in many superhero stories these days. The original story behind this anime adaptation was a 20th anniversary Tales game released in 2015 and followed by Tales of Berseria (its prequel) and Tales of Arise. This was also the last Tales game handled by Hideo Baba who also produced Tales of Xillia and Tales of Graces, which is going to have a remastered version to be released January 2025.
