I have started my Kedarnath trekking from Gaurikund at 5 PM evening and completed at 1AM night on 18 May 2018. Kept waiting outside the temple main gate till 5 AM for gate opening time. Temperature was -3 degree. I didn't get any cottage, room, blanket. But I got very first glimpse of "Shiva/Aadiyogi". Ultimate journey. Om Namah Sivaye!! Bam Bam Bhole
I cried and cried. It haunts more now. Chennai tamilian. In tamilnadu he would have easily become a hearthrob with such underplayed acting and truthful face. Thankfully south is supporting Ranveer Singh. No more of the perverts.
the rock story is amazing. I was there in 88 summer. on a muli, the nite before we stayed in some flee infested hotel. The way up was hard NO FENCE!! many people who fell down the slope and lied there..dead or so. I was told, to die on the way up is a good thing...I was with a Kali baba and so I could enter the most sacred area..I wore a sari and the priest came with the holy flame...stopped for a 10th of a second...and gave me the tika...blessing. In 88 there were fewwwwww buildings and few people so few compared to this video...it was all very basic then... flee infested lodges..dark dirty holes in that village on the way up..then...the road up a tint trail no fence and on one side cliffs on the other the steep down valley...muli nearly fell down the road as it panicked! so scary...and then all the dead who feel down that valley..right on my right side....but it was all worth it!! went to Gorkarnath and Dwarkanat, too. But Badrinath and the valley of flowers I did not go after Kedarnath then too hard...1988 summer it was amazing. So real then and not exploited..I remember my sari was full of ghee...then later...as the temple inside was all rubbed out with ghee.
I've watched 'KEDARNATH' movie and same i can see in this video that They both talked about cloud burst in the lake and one stone came down nearby the temple nd stopped. That stone divided water into two ways nd exactly what Happened in the movie.. Really Goosebumps and Hard to believe .. A natural disaster nd Blessed by Almighty has naturally unfolded at Kedarnath✌🏻

I went recently on 20 May 2019 in kedarnath n I was amazed to see that because of Modi route of kedarnath is became very comfortable n nobody can say that any disaster happen there n beauty of kedarnath is mind blowing n one more thing now there is no permanent building accept temple only rent n temporary shops r there but I will feel that u r in heaven. I travel for all 4 dham near any 1400 km n in almost every where char dham pariyojna is working in a fast way n actually that is a very difficult task to do that kind of construction in that uttrakhand area but still they r working continually hatts off to public government workers n of course Modi.maybe after 3 4 years it will be more easy to go there. Just back from Kedarnath trek… Bhimshila is the stone which is behind kedarnath temple… this big stone didn’t slide down from Mountains during floods .. initially it was kept at a distance only from temple.. when the water came this stone came as a rescuer for the temple… and see god’s beauty… if this stone would have touched the temple then the momemtum of this pathhar was sufficient enough to break the temple but it stopped and diverted the water

I did watch the movie, more than Kedarnath, The movie was about of his divine qualities i.e LOVE, Kedarnath is Love, was Love & 4ever B love, other qualities include, powerful, peaceful, fearless, divine" etc. Unlimited. The movie was abt love between 2 inter religions, Mandakini (Mukku), a Pandit, Hindu Gal & SSR (Pithoo) a muslim guys. Pic shot in the Backdrops of Kedarnath, with heart warming sights of hilly scenes, Climax showing the demon floods, eating into everything coming it's way. & the final tragedy. makes the movie a must watch 4 every kind of generation.
It was a devastating event. Even remembering the event might burst anyone into tears. So many people just lost their lives like it was nothing. So many families suffered. Even watching the video makes me cry.
Coincidence. Stones fell everywhere. This fell behind the temple bas. Besides my faith would grow stronger if instead of the temple the stones protected those lakhs of unfortunate people who died by drowning. Why is a temple more valuable than the lives of all those people to everyone?

Recently I went kedarnath temple, I saw bhim shila, it is very big, because of tht the pressure of water divided into two or three parts, that's the big reason of collapsed of rambara nd gauri kund, it was an amazing experience, There is heaven, I went there 10-12 day before, Most lovely experience... Actually it should never be developed on the same level that it was in 2013.... Most of the hotels were illegal... So many people died as they were cramped for running space.... Kedarnath had more pilgrims than its capacity at that time and that worsened the death toll
Actually the new trek is not 16 km , the old one was indeed 16 km but starting from gaurikund to the temple , it would be somewhat about 22 km. One can see the Old road from the new road . I recently visited the temple. And damn it's too cold even during the peak summer time.
I read many negative comments, saying it's superstitious to believe that the boulder bhim shila is God sent. I don't know how much people today can percieve the power but do give it a try going to Kedarnath and placing your head over shiv shila. I cried of joy when I experienced it. I really hope you get a chance to do so.

If you follow hinduism then you should know that devas also die with time, even bramha die when 100 kalpa is over. Actually it should never be developed on the same level that it was in 2013.... Most of the hotels were illegal... So many people died as they were cramped for running space.... Kedarnath had more pilgrims than its capacity at that time and that worsened the death toll

I have done this trek in 2009.I was in 9th Grade at that time. We started trekking at about 11 A.M and reached in mid night.

Actually the new trek is not 16 km , the old one was indeed 16 km but starting from gaurikund to the temple , it would be somewhat about 22 km. One can see the Old road from the new road . I recently visited the temple. And damn it's too cold even during the peak summer time.

I read many negative comments, saying it's superstitious to believe that the boulder bhim shila is God sent. I don't know how much people today can percieve the power but do give it a try going to Kedarnath and placing your head over shiv shila. I cried of joy when I experienced it. I really hope you get a chance to do so.

Our homestay was in gaurikund and in 2013 flood our homestay got collapsed but thanks to god that my father returned safely

If you follow hinduism then you should know that devas also die with time, even bramha die when 100 kalpa is over. I know some people make stupid comment like you're doing sin, hence god got angry, but in reality it is all happen just because of us. We did not respect nature, yeah we respect in words, but in reality we not. It's not only you, I include myself on that category as well.
If you listen the video carefully, then those devotee said, "we came here to die". It's hard to understand any devotee of god or any fan of artist who spend lakhs on ticket. shiva is a creator and shiva is destroyer ..keep it in mind.
