Very good the first minutes and last 3 minutes of the video. Did not saw the middle. Did I miss something? The process is very repetitive. But I think I'll use it.
Yeah, culling photos can be pretty boring. I've seen new AI-powered software that can cull for you, which would make it a lot faster. Not sure how much I could trust that system though
@@DylanLiveLifeCreative Initially I would only trust an AI to "pre-reject" blurry photos. But there is potential for an AI that can detect the kind of facial expressions that usually get a photo rejected, so I might be surprised.
Thanks for the video. I do not succeed to setup DT as you do.: How do you display stars in lighttable? On my screen it is displayed small bottom of screen. I use DT 4.2.0. How do you zoom in in lightable?
To display the star rating on each photo, go to the top right of the lighttable and there's a set of buttons. One of those is a star; click on it and you'll have several options of what info you want to see about each photo. Personally, I prefer the "permanent overlay" option (not the "permanent extended overlay"). To zoom in lighttable, hold Ctrl on Windows or Cmd on Mac and then scroll with your mouse wheel. Hope that helps!
Good video. Thank you. I use the same method (one image in full screen) cause before darktable I used xnview to rate the images and I'm so used to it. I still use xnview sometimes when I have a lot of images to rate because it has the ability to jump to the next image automatically and therefor is a bit faster (at least for me 😀 ). I just intalled the new 3.8 version of darktable and it's getting better and better.
I've really loved how they keep adding interesting new things to darktable, and I've consistently been able to streamline my workflow with many of the new features. It's great!
You should be able to make the photo fill the darktable window by hitting the F key. If that's not working, check your version of darktable, you may need to upgrade. This video was made with version 3.6.1; the latest version of darktable is version 4.0 If you want to make the whole darktable window fullscreen, you should be able to hit F11 to do that. Again, that shortcut may be dependent on the latest version of darktable.
Just a heads up (if you hadn't noticed) that your clients' names appear to be visible at some points of the video.
