Gotta say...I'm loving the curly hair !
Every so often, do a load of socks (or anything that smells off) in vinegar, run the wash, then add your soap of choice and clean as per regular. You can also do this with towels (they start to get that smell every so often as well). Make sure you NEVER leave wet laundry in the machine (even if you use the boost scents) and always put in the dryer immediately (with a snuggle dryer sheet if you want nice smelling laundry when you're folding). There are also special shoe sprays/powders that absorb odors. Some shoes are also washable (as long as they aren't leather). Take out the insoles sprinkle them with a ton of baking soda, let them sit overnight and then vacuum them (to remove the excess baking soda). Lastly, socks ... try to buy socks for them that have the absolute highest amount of cotton in them, the more cotton, the less their feet will sweat. Foot locker "used" to years ago carry a great sport sock in a pack of 4 that had a very high percentage of cotton in them. Maybe check it out online first? Just a thought. Enjoying your videos :)

My fingers are crossed that no one gets sick...Great stock up!!! That Fabulous is my favorite and Costco sells in a 5gal bottle!!!! As for stinky shoes sprinkle cornstarch, a GOOD amount it helps or spray Lysol in the shoes...for your washer, add baking soda, hot water setting and set it for the largest load, let it run full cycle, you may want to wash towels after just in case any residue was left behind and ALWAYS leave the lid open till the drum is completely dry...keep up the good work!!!!

Miranda this might sound wired but get some vinegar the regular white one and pour it in your washer and let it run through an empty load ( it might take a few times at first). The vinegar gets rid of soap scum and other stuff that builds up. I work with the elderly and I wash everything with vinegar added its a disinfectant, fabric softener and gets smells out of everything and your stuff doesn't smell like it at all. It will smell like your laundry stuff you use with it. I know people who use it with towels because it makes them soft again. I use a lot of it at times now when I first started I was scard of it lol. I am so excited for your Disney trip you will all have a blast.
I have a funny story about those white Downy scent beads. I recently used them and I used a lot. I'm a laundry over achiever! Anyway the next day I put on an outfit from that load of laundry and went to Sobeys. While getting some tomatoes I had to pass fairly close to another lady! She asked me what perfume I was wearing! I told her what it was ! She said it smelled so good!! LOL
I usually buy extra hand soap each time I shop as well as my body wash so I don’t have to spend a lot of money at one time. Hope no one gets sick. Take care
You should pick up a washing machine cleaner. Their might be some build up in your washing machine. And for stain remover I love the oxi clean duo. It’s expensive but works!
Put baking soda in the shoes and shake it around let it sit in them until they need them and shake it out. It really works. We do have juicy fruit gum.

Put the beads in the washing machine in hot water to melt a few minutes before switching to warm or cold. Downey fresh scent is my favorite
You can put those scent beads in small containers and set them where the dogs can’t get them and it will make the house smell good
For laundry stains I find the dawn power wash excellent. I Also buy resolve from Costco and will sometimes combine the two on heavier stains. But seriously the dawn power wash is amazing. Got out old grease stain. I spray and left the product to work before throwing into the wash. Also for stinky clothes I use a cup of baking soda with my detergent. Works like a charm. You can buy big bag at Costco as well for about $10.50 ish. Hope this helps!

Do you think your washing
machine needs to be cleaned? You can put 1.25lt white vinegar and put it in your machine on the hottest wash or you can use a dishwasher tablet.

I hope you feel better. I’ve had a cough and cold since Easter when we had all the grandkids here. I’ve lost a lot of weight but it was totally unplanned.

Hi , I had the same issues with my laundry smelling musty. I read in a forum after your laundry is done leave the door open and let the laundry drum air dry so mildew doesn’t form. It works for me, no more smelly towels, hope this helps. Take care 🕊🇨🇦
Fabuloso works so well on floors and walls and smell is amazing!! A trick for the bottle is take a dish soap cap and put it on the bottle that way no more dealing with the impossible cap!! Also if you take scent beads and put some in a spray bottle and add hot water dissolve and shake you have made febreeze fabric spray!! Just a couple extra ideas from another love my house smelling great!! And a two doggo household! Also dryer sheets to clean your baseboards and vents, smells so good!!
You can get scrub daddy at target. I’ve never seen them at Walmart. Also, the Oxy clean gel sticks are the ONLY thing that gets out hard stains.

Put vinegar in your laundry and that will get rid of that bad smell and it won't make your clothes smell like vinegar when it's dry .and makes your clothes very soft. And I use those beads as well love them
Oo yes, I love stocking up on household items! Yes so annoying when the wash gets musty 🫣🤢 Every now & then I use the Tide cleaning stuff, our go to laundry soap & fabric softener is Gain so good! I mailed off a small pkg yesterday to you & I really really hope you receive it before Florida!

The purple Fabuloso is the only cleaner I use now, I dilute it, with water, in a spray bottle, and have it in each bathroom and under my kitchen sink
Another couple cleaning hacks I love to clean too… the cleaner you can pour half a cup in the back tank of your toilet. And the washer beads if you put some in with baking sofa in a shaker bottle sprinkle on your carpet before you vacuum:)
This was such a fun haul to watch! For stains, I really like the resolve spray in the red bottle. Works really well. I also use the powder oxiclean (the purple, odor blaster one) for towels and sheets, etc. Makes everything super fresh. Also, you can get scrub daddy sponges at Bed, Bath and Beyond if you have one near you!

I use oxyclean powder and spray. I found scrub daddy at Walmart here in Nova Scotia months ago. Im actually heading there today to see if they have them again. I think i saw them at Canadian Tire, too. They do have them on Amazon as well. There's a "scour daddy" I want to try and I ordered the scrub daddy power paste on Amazon as well. Love ya, girly!! 💜
PS...I use a washing machine cleaner every once and awhile. Gunk and smelly stuff can build up in your machine, making it have that musty stench. Tide is totally overrated to me. I love Gain!! And I use the Downey "smelly beads" every load. I put them in, then turn on the water. Helps dissolve them better. If I put them on top, they don't seem to melt. I also find the oxyclean powder can help clean the machine as well. So you get cleaner clothing and a cleaner machine!

You are not alone. I do that as well when I love something. I eat it until I get sick of it and won't eat it for a very long time!

I hate getting low on my favourites as that stresses me out. We are a scent sensitive family, but I hear you about wanting the house to smell fresh. I find that I open the windows a lot and air things out more naturally. We do use some sprays as really needed, but can’t have the plug ins due to allergies. I love the purple wash booster though..so refreshing! Hope your arms aren’t too sore after that walk with Jasper and I really hope you (& Winnie) are feeling better today. That lavender scent of Fabuloso is my favorite! My cleaning lady uses it, and my house smells so fresh and clean afterwards. Price point is great and goes to show you don’t have to pay a lot for something good. FYI you can freeze those chocolate chips, and hide them in the freezer. Except that I love them frozen too, so it doesn’t work on me, lol!
Hi Miranda, I think the reason why the towels etc, smell musty has to do with the washing machine and nothing you are doing wrong. There are tips to sanitize a washing machine on youtube that may help. I had the same problem and it helped me immensely. Short version: you can run a cup or two of bleach OR vinegar through a hot wash cycle. But, as I am sure you already know, do not use those two ingredients together for safety purposes. Depending on why you need to clean your machine, bleach kills bacteria, mold, and mildew, while white vinegar dissolves soap scum and tough mineral deposits. I do this for my own machine every few months, but I think maybe I should be doing it more often. I always leave the washing machine door open between laundry days to give the inside a chance to dry out. Great video and haul! 💜

Great haul👍Yes stocking up makes a world of a difference. I use the Oxiclean Spray bottle. I find that it works the best for stains. Sometimes the musty smell can be a few things. The machine needs a clean, too much laundry detergent, over loading the machine with too much clothing. Good morning. Yes I have heard to leave the lid open on the washing machine after your done. I also bought a washing machine cleaning product by tide and it is suppose to clean out the entire washer from top to bottom I did notice everything that I can see is much cleaner. So I hope that helps.
You can buy the scrub daddy's on QVC and it's usually a really good deal.
Miranda have you tried using a clothes washer cleaner? You throw it in the washer and run with hot water and it cleans down in the mechanisms. Really helped mine. I got mine on the Amazon and bought Tide brand.read the directions on the box. It might take 2 cleanings if your machine is bad.

Hey Miranda, loooove your hair like that. For stinky shoes get Dr. Scholl's Odour Destroyer Spray. Spray it the night before wearing so that it does its magic and dries. It kills the bacteria that causes the smell. The stuff is bomb. 🥰

Loved the vlog and just wanted to say that to help the smelly shoes/feet issue (coming from someone with lots of retail experience in this) you may want to consider switching socks if they are cotton. The best would be socks that contain Merino Wool (not itchy) or at least having full synthetic socks. Also I highly recommend buying oxiclean in bulk from Costco, it’s been a lifesaver for us 😊

Fabulous is a hard pass. Reminds me of my childhood and not in a good way, ha! I just use hot water, alcohol, vinegar and some drops of my favorite oil to clean.

To get rid musty smells in your washing machine put it on normal wash but don't put washing powder or pods in just use white wine vinegar in the wash it will clean your pipe and anything that's clogging your washing machine
On my washer their is a Power wash cycle and it will disinfect your washer. Yes you have to buy a special cleaner.

Oxy clean spray stain remover for the win!
Love doing the stock up...ok so it’s possible you machine needs to be cleaned... they do sell washer machine cleaner ...I use it every 3 mouths and it prevents the smell musty and stinky. If you squeeze the scent beads bottle you can smell the scent through the top before you buy it... I bought the crystal light blueberry raspberry one but it just taste sweet to me no fruit flavour at all. I use to love the crystal light raspberry ice..but it is no more..🥺... have a great day

You can get Earplanes ear plugs at WalMart Pharmacy or Shoppers. They're amazing for turbulence. They come in kids sizes too. I wouldn't fly without them.
Do you clean your washer and dishwasher at least once every 3 months. You can get a product called affresh to clean both appliances. They make one each. Dishwasher,and washing machine. Moonlight breeze is my favorite scent by Gain.
That gain scent is my absolute favorite!! I have it in the dryer sheets and fabric softener too

You can get a washing machine cleaner, it takes the musty, dirty smell out. Tide makes one and Affresh makes one. Just put the powder in and run your machine, empty, through a cycle and smell gone.
Chewing gum on airplanes is the only way to go, especially for kids. They don't seem to be able to pop their ears on their own but gum works like a miracle. I don't know who first figured that out but they should be given a medal.
For laundry stains, it depends on whether it's a "regular" stain or a "grease" stain. For regular stains, I use OxyClean Versatile. It's the powder only (the spray is useless). I use it in every load. Look for the yellow lid. BUT for grease stains, definitely spread some Dawn (blue only) on the stain before you wash it.
Oh, and Aveeno Baby is also good on new tattoos. It's scent-free and a great moisturizer. I'm using it right now.
I"m going to have to look for Scrub Daddy. I've never heard of that brand but it looks intriguing, especially for my disgusting bathroom. Also, I'm going to look for those SoftSoap Luminous Oils. The scents sound fantastic.

Everyday I just learn something new about you that makes me love you! I am obsessed with smell good!! Every room and in my house has at least one bath and body wallflower!! I can sniff a bad smell out quick!! I use the laundry soap Persil!! It is ammmmmazing!! I coupon but that is one detergent I will pay full price for!! We do have juicy fruit in the states it's also my youngest fav!! We have the Kodiak cakes here to if your worried about it for your trip. I even seen frozen ones like pre-made!

Yes, you can get Juicy Fruit gum here in US. LOL You can get just about everything you buy there here. Some might be named differently, but for the most part it's the same. You might think about doing a haul in Boston before driving home. Especially because of the monetary conversion rates, you'll get more for your money in US. Just a thought.
For Winnie’s motion sickness-you could also try chewable ginger tablets. Granted, she may not go for them, they taste strong, but they’re recommended by staff on the Grand Manan ferry. 😉

Hi Maranda, love your videos. We have a golden who is a lot like Jasper. So sweet. I use True Earth Laundry soap. (BC company I believe) I can leave laundry in washer over night and laundry still smells fresh. You have to order it on line. It is good and good for environment. Have a great day. N
