Oh my God!😮 I just cooked this and came out awesome! My hubby thought its scallops for real! He didn't believe me that its the king oyster mushroom until i shared the video with him😅
I improvised a little. I boiled the mushrooms in dashi powder and for the sauce, i add soy sauce and brown sugar and mixed it with the garlic butter. My, my, my, the taste is so wonderful . This will be going to my saved video. Thanks fir sharing..

I've been watching people sear these mushrooms without par-cooking them first thinking the texture must not be great. I've always braised mine in plant-based butter but I've been looking for away to get a brinier flavor--this is it! Kind thanks!

i love your cookbook and this great way of doing scallops. I can not oils of any kind (plant based as well). Any suggestions on how to get that great pan-searing effect without loosing taste
