@@WickensWickedReptiles Hi Adam the next care guide I would love to see is a Fiji banded iguana care guide or a frilled dragon care guide. Also one of my boyfriend’s friends has a boa but apparently the type of boa that he has is illegal to own and I don’t think he is taking very good care of his snake. Any advice on what I should do about that? Also I love all of your amazing animals and you take such good care of all of them. My favourite animals that you have are Diamond, Frankie and Pikachu and it’s my dream to meet you and all of your animals hopefully some day
Thank you for sharing this, that python is gorgeous. Sorry I'm late I had to go get a hose for my washer. I hope you have an awesome day and see you again Monday
I hope you keep the care guides coming. I work at a reptile shop and most of the care advice I give comes from your videos, so something like a superdwarf retic care guide and others would be great!
Love that you described them as golden retrievers! I always describe one of my ball pythons as a labrador, cause he loves food and he's so hyper-social with people (super calm and confident with people too, he have never curled up into a ball, and you can even pet his face)
I used to have a nice tame female Burmese back about 1980. She was about 12 ft. Long. I eventually sold her as my living situation changed. Unfortunately new York State laws changed and we can no longer keep large pythons but I will always remember that big, tame, friendly snake!
Burms are rad. Retics are my favorite snake in the world though. lol. What can I say, I grew up right up the street from Prehistoric Pets, hung out with retics at school assemblies growing up, then worked at the reptile zoo, and now have a pair of my own. Burms are also rad! More retic content :) I like listening to you explain the intricacies of how to care for your animals.
Another cool video, Adam. My 7 year old daughter is obsessed with snakes and loves watching you! She's constantly looking for snakes in the conservation area we hike regularly.
I'm aware how big they are going to be and I still love Burmese pythons my uncle had one and I fell in love with Burmese pythons I know the amount of food you have to feed them at the right time and everything
I am glad you did this video on Burms. We can't have them in Florida. It is awesome to know they can be accepted in other places to thrive and enjoy. I really appreciate all you do. TY
Burms and retics are hands down my favorite snakes. I used to have a 14 foot female in high school and I loved her. I really wish I had the space and a second person to help me when it gets big so I could get one again. I am thinking about getting a super dwarf retic instead because I wouldn't need as much space and I would feel more comfortable handling it by myself when it grows up. Currently I have a coastal carpet python and a blood python both of which are amazing pets that I can handle on my own.
Can't believe I'm this late! I love burms and I am so excited to get one of my own! First time I held one was at an expo, and it felt amazing. Truly set it in that I wanted one.
This video cokes just in time for me. My bf used to breed burms and decided he wants to get into em. I've only handled a hand full of burms in my life, so very different experience for me. My bf is bringing home a pair this weekend from a show he's going to while I hold down the fort and our collection, lol. Excited to be adding this species to my repetiteur.
A Cuban false Chamilian care guide would be great. I feel like they're simple enough that you could go into a lot of detail, like setting up a diy dripper or misting system. Plus, they're awesome
Food isn't that expensive, they aren't hard to heat or keep proper humidity even in big ass cages. The main thing to take away and first thing you should know looking into burms is an 8x4x4 cage is the absolute minimum size for a big female. Personally going to build a 10x4x4 in the future. Wood is cheap and so is pvc, go watch Brad's Bioactive Builds to see how easy building a giant cage is. Only expensive part is glass/plexi/acrylic but you can save up for that at the end when you have a fully built beautiful cage to motivate you. Same for retics, just bigger. No more keeping huge constrictors in 8x2x1 AP cages that cost thousands of dollars
Burms were the first big snakes I started to work with (Im a wildlife ecology student) and these snakes are the puppys of the big snakes. Used them regularly for education-afternoons in schools and petting farms. One snake did get me while in foodmode though, did not hurt but spooked the shit out of me ahaha, will definitely own a burm one day Sadly imo most people keep them in enclosures way too small Love the careguide!
One day ill have a Burm. Just gonna spend a few years slowly working with larger and larger species until i have the confidence and space for one. It will happen though. Would love a retic too someday but i think theyre just too big for me personally. and the dwarfs are cool and all but if i got a retic it would have to be full size.
I would get one. Just did last fall. I finally have room for giant reptiles so I am getting them🎉 She is a Hypo Labyrinth het Green pos het Albino. I can’t get as out of hand as I have with ball pythons but I think there are more burms in my future because she is just awesome. As soon as some things are completed I am going to start the process of getting permits for water monitors too.
Burms are amazing! My husband and I breed them as well. We just wanted to give you a little hell about a slip up you made in the video. Hypo is an incomplete dominant in Burms, not a recessive. 😉 Great video though Adam! 🙂

In the end he picked up a little baby, and it had patterns like the babies in this video. At first I thought it was some kind of rat snake, but maybe not! I'll have to watch it again now! 🤣
