Looks great mate, you're making me miss cruisers even more. My 535 Virago came with a sissy bar/rack and back rest, although largely just for show as even my 5ft friend couldn't fit on the pillion seat without having her knees to her chest. Saddlebags were one of the mods I had planned, before that bike's reliability ruined all that. Would love a cruiser as my next bike
+Spectre223 yeah I reckon she looks bad ass with these mods on her. And with all the luggage it's meant that I can use the bike more for work too, rather than having to jump in the cage to get around. Hopefully it adds a little resale value too in the event I go for an upgrade in 12+ months time when the restrictions on my license are lifted.
It makes the bike look bigger in my opinion, looks good. Just remember they're there if you try filtering xD And yeah it'll absolutely add to the resale value because, as you say, it makes the bike more practical, as well as nicer on the eye
Phat Cruiser Oh really? Ah interesting, in the UK even the L-platers can filter right from the get go, the only restrictions on what you can do are L-platers can't carry passengers or go on motorways, all the other restrictions for the various stages are based on size and speed of bike
Yeah here in New South Wales the restrictions for learner riders are no pillion passengers, no lane filtering, a speed limit of 90kph (for L & P1, 100kph for P2), and restrictions of bike power. On full license lane filtering is allowed but not exceeding 30kph.
i got some from shark leathers a few weeks ago and it really does change your outlook when you don't have to have a backpack, or when you are shopping and can get extra things
Love the look!! I am thinking of taking a 200 mile ride tomorrow, sort of a last big ride before winter sets in up here and those saddle bags are a Godsend when you are layered for cold weather and have to take off as the day warms up! Only thing I would like to add to mine is the rack behind the back rest for a bag.
Yep the rack on the back is well worth it also. The bags I have are a little small so if I need the extra space I have a larger bag that goes on the back an traps to the sissy bar. Looking forward to doing a few camping trips away as well. Load up a swag and a couple bits of clothing and ride! ;)
+Wolfie Pics it does indeed. I've got my eye on that. But then I saw the Rocket III and was blown away. The Harley Low Rider S is also on the radar. So much to choose from 👌
+Phat Cruiser I been riding in the central highlands then watching motogp now relaxing in melbs!! im a little late on my yt watching!!! road tripping will be awesome! summer coming up and all.
Sweet man, looks coolio. I'm missing my panniers now I've not got the cruiser anymore, I was used to having somewhere to put stuff, lol. Hopefully I'll sort some out for the new bike soon. Tcrs fella ✊
Top work!
Beautiful bike.

Not allowed to filter yet anyway ;) But yes it does give it that look I was after.

Just got a Barely used 2013 Vstar 650 today, only had 1052 miles on it! Love those saddlebags, added to my wish list on Amazon ;)
+john smith awesome! They're such a reliable bike, they look the part, and there so much you can do to them too. 👌
Very nice. I actually bought the same bar and backrest and now I know not to over complicate the install. I'll get those saddle bag supports as well.
Nice mods, it's good that you can add things to the bike to make it more personal 💜💙
+Whoa Miss Nelly for sure. Can make it look just how I want it to 👍
Look like it went together really well. You never know with accessories these days. Some can be a struggle to fit. Nice job.
+azdesertdog thank man. These were all Yamaha genuine so I didn't expect to have too much trouble getting it all together.
yeah man that looks really professional and practical. Nice one :)
+outie555 I'm liking it. And being able to carry stuff, not in a backpack certainly makes things more comfortable.

+Wolfie Pics thanks mate. I really like the look of the combination of these mods. But I think I need another bike to which I'll go full bobber lol
New Triumph looks awesome.. The bobber one..
+Wolfie Pics it does indeed. I've got my eye on that. But then I saw the Rocket III and was blown away. The Harley Low Rider S is also on the radar. So much to choose from 👌
There are, but i really love the Tri street twin so a bobber version makes me want one even more..

Thanks brother. I am impressed. But she's not finished yet I don't think. I can foresee a set of engine guards in the near future lol
Now for some serious touring Phatty! ;)
+Ninja Life Crisis yeah already have my eye on a swag and a couple of other things so I can take off into the sunset.
Hey man what pipes do you have on the bike and where'd you get them I have a 2002 Yamaha V Star 650 baby Cruiser
Where did you get your pipes from and what brand are they...thanks
I bought the bike with them fitted already. They're Vance and Hines.
My luggage rack did not come with spacers, what do you suggest I do?
Where did u get the sissy bar
So much chrome - I could never keep it clean!
+Moto Joshing I don't lol. But she does get a monthly make over at the beauty salon lol
R.I.P Seat Strap ;( It does look very nice though & I'd rather be a passenger on your bike vs mine xD
+MiGly Rides thanks mate. Yeah having a back rest might make things a bit more comfortable but I have no idea. Never riden bitch lol
saddle bags are for the classic and not the custom....
