The uncles were so sweet! haha! I think if you don't know Koreans and their culture kakabahan ka sa ginawa nila or magiging wary, and I was the same when I first worked in a Korean company. But elders like to do this for younger people in Korea. I actually think it's nice that they are trying to interact with a foreigner in English. I believe you are a smart woman and that you will instantly feel if someone has motives sa pakikipagusap sayo. In any case, I am glad you are safe and got to experience this new thing!

Risky yung accepting drinks from strangers. Yun yung first ko naisip when they gave you coffee. I do also think nagdalawang isip si sir kasi alam nyang famous ka and you can show their face haha so they carried on. But they really gave me some predator-like vibe. Sorry if it sounds judgmental but if it's an ordinary and vulnerable looking lady, mejo feeling ko delikado sya sa mga ganyang situation. Ingat po palagi!
Di naman siguro. Isipin nalang natin na mostly din ng Pinoys, mangha sa mga Puti / AFAM. Kapag nakakakita tayo ng Puti, kinakausap din natin. Baka same lang din sila. 😊
Agree with risky accepting drinks. Koreans are generally nice but you will never know parin if natyempuhan ka. After all, di naman sila 0 crime rate. (Or baka marami lang ako napanood na crime documentaries ng Korean hehe). Although marami nmn din gusto magpractice ng english kaya usually mga ahjussi kumakausap if narinig nila foreign language. Anyways baka praning lang ako but remember solo female traveller ka parin hehe. May nawatch ako 1 youtuber na shnare niya exp nya in korea na na s*+#ual as*@‘lt xa ng Korean, so ingat parin.
@@ArtsyMedyun ang iisipin ko kung nasa 30's o middle aged ang nag approach kay miss Tine na may beverage. Pero elderly na kasi sila tsaka mabait talaga mga elderly sa korea.

Helloooo, the reason why Koreans never sit in priority seats is because reserved sya sa elderly, pregnant, and/or PWD. So yeaah, tama yung observation mo Ms. Tine. Haha. Kaya kahit gano pa kaluwag o ka-puno yung bus, di mo makikitang uupo mga Koreans dyan kung di naman sila pregnant/nakakatanda/disabled. 🙂

Nothing, I went out kasi medyo mausok. But I’m still curious bakit daming BTS, did they eat there kaya or fan lang talaga yung owner. So many questions..

Thanks for sharing ate Tine! I also experienced kindness from Koreans on the way to Namsan Tower. We were figuring out how to go up by bus and this group of guys helped give directions and even rode the bus with us to the top. Nakakakaba talaga at first but it became one of my most memorable moments in KR.

@@RealAsianBeauty Family po particularly my brother and mom. Koreans pa ang unang nag-approach and I recall trying to read a huge traditional map kaya halatang lost kami haha

May mga comments kasi non na “I’m depriving myself” and wasting time and money by doing simple things in Korea.
So sabi ko, hindi na nga ako mag vlog sa mga days na gusto ko lang ienjoy ang Korea doing mundane things.

When drinking with a much older person, it is customary to turn your head away to take a drink. Some Koreans may feel strange about a foreigner doing so, and they will tell you if that's the case. Also when you receive something (a present, a cup, a pen, etc.) from an older person, you should use two hands when receiving it, with a bow. If it's small enough for one hand, use one hand to receive it and the other under your forearm or your lower chest (for support). When you are shaking hands with an older person, use two hands. If the person receiving the gift is younger or lower in stature, passing with one hand is acceptable.
I know that. I was a teacher to Koreans and have many Korean friends. 😊
My Korean Boss told me this is usually done when drinking alcohol, not needed when drinking water or coffee. 😊
You will see when I drank soju with Koreans on Day 2, that I turned my head away from them. 😊

Pero alam mo ang napansin ko, kahit mayaman sila and they have car keys, they still take public transportation. They showed me their car keys and they also showed me their free subway ride card, at proud na proud sila don.
Malalaman mo talaga na mayaman ang bansa when the rich also take public transport. Sana dito din satin, noh? 😊
