But when people assume I’m male they say things mostly related to positive strong man comments. That generic stuff. But when they know or realize I am in a fact a women, it changes to “you need to find a tall man to date” or “it’s so good your proud of your height” and stuff like that. I’ve been getting told this shit, mostly related to dating, since I was 12. 12 years old. Im indifferent to my height. Its what I know I don’t care a lot. I’m not ashamed but my height isn’t my personality. But holy shit do others throw a fit over it. I also get a lot of stupid high heel comments…

We were an hour into the flight when the pilot came on with an announcement. Realising it was a woman a couple started freaking out to the point we diverted.
Talking about musicians who are sexist pricks a lot of the guitar community are so insecure about their own playing if a woman can play guitar better than them they say shit like "SHE HAS NO FEEL" or "SHE'LL NEVER BE AS GOOD AS XYZ" Like seriously watching a lot of these women are amazing and we're in the 21st century respecting the fact a woman is better than you should not be difficult
I have a pet theory about female guitarists, namely that because women are on average smaller and weaker than men, some female guitarists don't look as "effortless" while playing, since they are having to use more force and reach, which in the mind of a sexist man translates to them being worse, despite no difference in the actual sound. This theory is totally not based on me picking up my guitar after years of not playing and really having to press down with all my might to play... :D
@@korganrocks3995 honestly I do apologise but I mostly disagree with you with you because anyone can setup up their guitar to be more comfortable and easier to play for themselves and guitarists like Nita Strauss play their guitar incredibly easily it honestly to me seems to spawn from jealousy at the fact they can't play as well as someone else so instead they use memes and horrible comments to make themselves feel better by criticising a female guitarist but that is how I view things
@@jakejennings6534 Oh, I agree that anyone who goes out of their way to shit on female guitarists clearly has issues. This is just an idea I had recently to explain my own perception of female guitarists, but since I don't seek out "guitar content" in general, most of the female guitarists I've seen have probably been videos I clicked on because of the attractiveness of the girl rather than her instrument. :P

I remember a big story where women scientists where being so maligned by us men where one leading scientist (Tim Hunt) basically said that women should not be allowed in the lab because all they do is fall in love and cry. This led to a beautiful, and brutal backlash by women scientists with the hashtag "distractinglysexy" which ended up huge media coverage. Also I can confirm the sexism in music thing too as my ex girlfriend who was a timpanist in the orchestra I used to play with at NYO had the same issue when she was auditioning for jobs as a percussionist. As a man, scientist and musician, it's bloody embarrassing!
Ad Infinitum, Battle Beast, Within Temptation, Evanescence, Nightwish, Epica, Eleine, Arch Enemy, Amaranthe, Delain, all bands with female vocalists with incredible talent.

I’ve been incredibly proud of my dad (a baby boomer and a businessman) for genuinely recognizing how bad intolerance has been. Even though he’s always been pretty accepting, he’s actively making changes now to make things more equal for all genders and walks of life. He even asked me the other day what the best way to ask someone their pronouns was. It’s heartbreaking to know that there are still so many ways this world is refusing to change and adapt, especially when I’ve seen first hand that change for the better is possible. Tolerance starts with the people who strive for it, but it thrives in the people you can bring to believe in it.
Yeah, my crotchety old farmer uncle who used to complain about foreigners coming here and not learning our language has really mellowed with time, education and exposure to people from different cultures. Standing up and drinking! The nostalgia is real
Dude, Battle Beast is so good! I love that band so much!
What's really funny about that thing from John is that Karl may find it really odd to explain, but he's actually IN the picture, HOW DO I EXPLAIN IT??? AND I HAVE 3 OF THEM!!! XD
Yes I bought 3 copies of The Wool Man's Game.
How do I explain it? Specifically to my wife packing them, asking “So if Karl has a reputation for telling sponsors to fuck off, why are we sending unsolicited gay porn of him to literally hundreds of his fans?”
"Man of Wool" Snyderverse movie trailer. Brad, make it happen!
I dunno. My Lady's Choice commercial didn't exactly hit critical acclaim. I suspect the world isn't yet ready for my portrayal of Man of Wool.
@@jonydude
But then we'd miss out on dialogue like:
"Are we just supposed to let them dye the wool?". "Maybe..."
And sequels like Flaxman v Sheeperman: Yarn of Justice
I'm really enjoying the rotation, simply because it's something I didn't think would happen, but I'm really interested to see if this works going forward when Karl is back in rotation and is just doing friday videos while everyone else fills a day.
It sadly sucks that this is the content of the video, but it needs to be pointed out with a double finger to these arseholes still doing this shit. Also for female bands - The Warning. they've gotten so good over the years, you can just hear the influence that other rock/metal bands have had on them.
For all the lads/lasses there is a great band called jinjer, she has a very dynamic vocal range and is arguably one of the best death metal singers, should definitely check her out 🤙
as someone whos a lifelong metalhead and started to listen to battle beast relatively recently (within the past year or two) I'd love to see a playlist of songs karl likes as well as ones curated by nisha, brad, and lucas on some platform like spotify or the like
Los Bitchos are another fantastic all-female band, and are currently on tour in the UK
Thanks for the recommendation, Through Fire and Flames cover was awesome. BattleBeast also seem pretty great, I will have to check out some more of theirs.
The return of the king.
It’s not the fact that it’s all men, it’s the fact that it’s typically men
And a lot of men won’t get that is a problem
Heck yeah! The wool guy!!
When I opened my copy of the game and pulled out the poster my wife was looking at me weird and asked me why I’d want that poster. It is very hard to explain that joke and she thought I was acting suss about it
No she didn't. She's pretending to think you're acting suss for comedic effect, like I totally would if I was in the room. "Oh sure! You're feelings towards Karl and Richard Branson are TOTALLY platonic. Now let's just put this up in our bedroom, where it totally won't enhance your performance."
Hey Karl, idk if you already heard but apparently they tried to raise the price of the Costco hotdogs again due to inflation and he's still shutting them the fuck down. Glory to the hot dog combo
We were an hour into the flight when the pilot came on with an announcement. Realising it was a woman a couple started freaking out to the point we diverted.
Diablo Swing Orchestra is another amazing, and under appreciated, band that always has had a female lead.
Yaaaay he's back
He's back!
They're posting a Karl video every friday
They made a backlog before he left
@@WykeRowerMedia Oh yeah,..... sh t.
@Hunter No they record them the day after they release them.
lol love the poster
Talking about musicians who are sexist pricks a lot of the guitar community are so insecure about their own playing if a woman can play guitar better than them they say shit like "SHE HAS NO FEEL" or "SHE'LL NEVER BE AS GOOD AS XYZ" Like seriously watching a lot of these women are amazing and we're in the 21st century respecting the fact a woman is better than you should not be difficult
Or the "she's faking/dubbing" bs
I got this poster and was so confused
2 days ago i was in a lecture of a female trombone player that talked exactly about this topic (and more related matters), so how does Fact Fiend target me like this?!? btw SHANA TOVA!! to all the Fact Fiends out there jewish or not
The Berliner Philharmoniker had a curtain and abolished it, because a woman won the audition. She played the trombone, but didn't get hired after the trial year... Up until now, they don't have the curtain...
The extra thing that I learned outside of the actual content of the yt video is how uncomfortable I am w/the amount that my liquids I hold are probably alot more unstable than I thought
Feels weird seeing the old bulky soda cans after theyve changed shape
We still have those old chubby cans in 'Murica
@@edrosales1520 oh Rly? Thought they changed everywhere
Speaking of female-led bands, Arkona's Masha Scream certainly has an impressive voice!
If you haven't, check out the band Jinjer. It has a female lead vocalist that absolutely rips...
OMG Karl loves Battle beast, she is BRUTAL (and very sexy too) but ye gods, he is right, she kicks arse all over the park and comes back for seconds. Love Noora, she is amazing. So is Floor Yansen of Nightwish. Damn she's got a voice and a half!
Also Blondie and the Pretenders.
i actually encounter the opposite phenomenon in tel aviv university .
there is a building there that have 4 bathrooms.
3 for women and one for both man and women
“I’m a man, but I can change. If I have to. I guess.” - the man’s prayer (from Redd Green)
Battlebeast! Fantastic band
When I got my copy of the game with that picture I opened it up and my friends were like why is there a picture of you in bed with a guy. I have long dirty blonde hair and a goatee
Paper over the bit that says "Richard Branson" and write "Aaron Closson"
Halestorm is a great female lead band
I'm sure she's great, but if they replaced her with a dude they could change their name to Malestorm, and what's more important in life than puns? :P
Where's the Ballsey lad that would intentionally wear heals Just to f with the judges
@Hunter I mean, I'm just spitballing here, but maaaaybe that ballsy lad wouldn't do that while unemployed? If he had some brains he'd already have a spot on an orchestra and just do it to f with them.
Damn! I forgot about battle beast, they’re amazing.
I just got a letter, I just got a letter, I wonder who it's from
Can’t wait to hear from the whiny baby men and see what they have to say about this video.
I think most of them have left by now, Karl hasn't exactly been shy about his views on misogyny. And if that didn't scare 'em off, his views on the Snyder-verse probably did the trick... :P
Brad nisha lucas i was watching an old video where Karl heard about dean Winchester. Hilarious. But he mentioned he loved monster of the week type shows. Its old and youve probably seen it. But in case you haven't you guys would love Grimm. Leading character is Nick burkhardt. I won't spoil it cuz im prone to ramble but basically the Grimm fairy tales aren't fairy tales. They're warnings of supernatural "monsters" that the Grimms have profiled throughout human history. Its like a mix of ncis supernatural and blue blood, i know for sure its on playstation store, dvd collections, maybe xbox store, and definitely on Amazon prime
Dude every plane should have a voice recording of a woman as the pilot, regardless of who is flying. It might slow down the movement of dbags if they all get off the plane lmao
Nah, let the dbags get off the plane and suffer through hours of boredom at the airport once they've booked a new flight. Maybe they'll have a moment of introspection when they look at their watch for the umpteenth time and realise they would have landed by now...
I love Hey Monday, Tonight Alive, Paramore, Hot Milk, and Icon fot Hire.
I'm so sad cause when I got mine I forgot there was a poster inside so I ripped the whole envelope open and I tore the poster in half T_T
Still plenty of posters left! Got a friend with a birthday coming up? How caring of you to purchase them a brand new game, with no ulterior motive. ;) Oh no, good friend, that game didn’t come with a poster, but look over here at this definitely not ripped in half poster I have on my wall that definitely did not arrive when I got you your copy of the game. ;)
@@jonydude haha gotta love the wool guy! I may just have to do that. Love the game and it was a blast to play. Still annoyed with my own over exuberance though wanted to see that maybe is vampire card with my own eyes
Did you get lucky enough to have a vertical rip between Karl and Richard Branson? Cuz I reckon that would look kinda cool. :D
@@korganrocks3995 then place the two halves at diagonal angles, and place a broken heart symbol between them.
@@RayneGrimm1 it's just "complete openness" but I hired the artist to redraw the head. It was a last minute desperate scramble to make a Kickstarter Exclusive something, because up until that point I thought I was above Kickstarter Exclusives. But the promo card for Gentleman's Choice was actually the first card produced, and I suggested the artist double the typical time budget spent on every other card. So damn worth it. That card is like, the best card in the deck.
Return of the Smallwood.
Arch enemy are also an amazing female lead metal band.
There's a similar story from BMW. Men hated the idea of the female voice for the SatNav so much that BMW literally had to recall all of their SatNavs and get a male voiceover.
Blind auditions are a serious deal within collegiate level conservatories…. and rightfully so. You wouldn’t believe the levels of “government”/bureaucratic drama there is within classical music. I hope there will someday be a similar tv to The Bear that covers this
Karl why isn't nisha doing this one
Because Karl was still the one doing all of them when this was filmed.
Other great female fronted and membered bands are Arch Enemy, Jinjer, Spiritbox, Bandmaid, Brideear, or unleash the archers to name a few
We had a family reunion just the other day and he was berating the far-right party for wanting to deport all immigrants who arrived in the last decade or whatever, talking about all the competent and pleasant doctors, physios, engineers etc he's met in the last decade. I never would have expected such a turn-around, since he's normally so set in his ways, so it's really nice to see!
@@korganrocks3995 exactly!
Was this topic covered before? Seems really familiar

PPE at a lot of worksites isn't even designed for the average man. It's designed for the stereotypical heavyset kind of man who definitely owns a pickup truck.
Why is there bleeping? I'm so confused is this a mandela effect thing? I never remember him bleeping swears before

"3 subreddits and quotes a youtuber" I frequent reddit sometimes and I quote game grumps a lot, and to my impressionable brain that means me... yeah, I really don't have a personality
Keep trying, with time and effort some day you can be like me and have 7 subreddits and 3 youtubers, and then no one will be able to accuse you of not having a personality! ;)
@@korganrocks3995 ehhh... I'm probably better off kissing my uncle's remington
I'd guess in the place you mentioned with the PPE, they'd probably just discriminate against short men as well. Because the stereotype is small = feminine
