Maybe it's not hot there yet, looks like people in the stands with sweatshirts and light jackets, isn't it their start of spring/summer and our start of fall/winter?
@@JCSpeedway thanks, I'm remember the days when the season started, cold, windy, but you had to show up to all the races no matter what to compete for a championship, sometimes you would drive to the track in the rain and pack the track for a hour before they called it off
All the tracks, Australia , New Zealand, all look the same. Narrow, bottom cement strip, dirt, flat, a shit show. Watched 5 minutes, same as the others 😑
Pretty ignorant attitude if you ask me. If you've never been to a NZ or Aussie track maybe you shouldnt comment. Guys like Sammy Swindell used to love racing on the flat NZ tracks, all the guys ive spoken to in Darlington, Knoxville and the likes enjoyed the kiwi and Aussie tracks. Racing all over the world is different mate, thats what makes it so interesting.
@RacingWithChuck27 so here's a thought for ya mate, the style (classes) of racing that started the sport here are COMPLETELY different to what any other tracks in the world have so hence the tracks were predominantly catered for them. Stockcars are full contact so hence walls are allways needed and banked style tracks don't tend to suit those type of cars. The most "modern" Speedway we have is Baypark and if you notice it's definitely alot wider and more suited towards open wheels because that kind of racing was more prominent. And mabey with the angle I'm filming from doesn't show it but the Springs does have abiit of banking to it. Cheers for your comment and hope this helps you to understand our tracks are different for a reason 👍
@@RacingWithChuck27 no, I've watched races at a bunch of different tracks, very competitive, and some really nice tracks, we have a lot of different tracks in the US too, some great, some not so, maybe your just a fan of watching races on FLO or you tube and haven't been to tracks in person, or on a pit crew, what makes a good driver is someone who can adapt and compete on any kind of track or conditions
@@bevangibbs3721 Well, the Yanks aren't going to tell you that the tracks are mostly crap in NZ. There's no doubt the visiting American drivers love WS for its natural Ampitheater and crowd atmosphere and of course the free holiday but very rarely do you hear any of them praise the actual track itself. Buddy Kofoid barely held back rubbishing the place (on camera) during his last visit. Now, if you ask him what his favourite track in NZ is, he'll tell you Ruapuna.
@rodlamport1702 Buddy is a different kettle mate. He barely likes his own home track, and ive heard him bag out Knoxville and Charlotte. Ive raced there at home, Palmy, Meeanee, Gizzy and others (im aussie based now) and here in West Oz, most of the guys ive raced with really enjoy our tracks in NZ, And here in Aus. Dont call tracks a shit show if you haven't been is all im saying.
Great feature, thanks for sharing from Indiana!
Thanks again for covering the races!
That meet was an interesting one. Ive never seen a sprintcar crash as badly as the last one. But micheal pickins deserved the win 👍🏼
What kind of dirt or clay? Seems pretty dust free for a daytime race
Don't know. But with all those heats and that feature I'll bet the tire trucks were empty at the end of the night.

@angiliquedavison mixture of 5 different types I belive, not 100% sure

Looks like cars have limited slip rears
