My favorite event of the night by far. Just tune up the tech issues (easier said than done) and I am SO excited for it to return. Love being able to play at home. Next year - Team 1: Literally everyone. Team 2: Jon. Jon wins 30 to 4.
Tbh I just thought of this This will be easier next time if it occurs cause then everyone is in one place and not scattered across 6 different locations
This was unfortunately a little messy in execution - but it was overall good fun. This sort of game show-style segment, like Carlos's Family Feud segment, works quite well for Colosseum, I think. If this gets cleaned up a bit more, this could a good segment to return. The "deafen but your partner has to sing it" idea is especially fun, and made the game more than just trivia. And when it devolved into people just describing the songs in words rather than singing it, that could be its own thing, too - like the gameshow Password. Obviously you guys don't need ideas for segments or anything, but I'd love to see more of this sort of game show segment in general, especially as you return to fully in-person (hopefully!) next year.
This would be a fun segment to bring back. Just the rules for points need some work in my opinion. Besides them not being applicable to every game (i.e. series that have only one installment,) a little leniency on the "title" needs to exist since some games literally don't tell you the names of songs.
I hope so too, but with some tweaks to it because it seemed like they spent more time bickering over the rules instead of actually playing. I get it, it’s a Colo, rules don’t exist, but speeding the game along and putting in more songs will really make this segment shine.
if they refined the rules, set them down and didn't mess with them. went over how the game was going to be played. and didn't bicker (and gave Carlos full points for his Rain / ODST answer) it would have been my favorite segment. but this was just... bad.
I hope this game show comes back next year! It was a fun segment, hope Jon can join in next time! Also, I might have been one of the few people who was happy to hear a Sly 2 song get played. (And I even knew what track it was!)
In which a group of TRG must guess a variety of songs from games. I feel like I may have just simply explained this, but you know what else is simple? It's Pizza Time. Bizzard the Wizard and Pizza Time
While this could've been organized a lot better especially with the rules being a little ambiguous at times with the same team guessing twice in a row being one example and various other minor things, there was still a good, diverse range of songs chosen for the pool. I didnt catch this segment live unfortunately, but watching the VOD footage I'm surprised I managed to correctly guess a few (I.e. transistor, ori and the blind forest, the very occasional nintendo song and lastly hollownight-getting the exact song name too just because I've listened to that game's entire soundtrack so often in the past). I agree with a lot of the other comments when they say they would like this segment to return next colosseum but with more structure and planning ahead of time.
Was really fun recognizing Deference for Darkness (rain) right away, then realizing "Carlos is here, he's going to get this IMMEDIATELY" XD Which he did. :D And yeah, the soundtrack of ODST is split into 'Suites' which comprise multiple songs from a certain section of the game in the order that the play in the level.
It felt kinda painful seeing people not get the Earthbound Bus theme. It might just be because I used it before getting Teleport, but I recognized the song immediately.
In which Jyggy tests Jack, Masae, Carlos, Tim, Tyler, Jerod, MC, and Jules on their knowledge of VG OSTs. Oh wait, I know this one! It’s on the Genesis! Uhhhhh… Bizzard the Wizard and the Snailzer
I loved the concept of this segment but I feel like the rules could have used some tightening up and that it would work better with everyone together in person rather than over cams.
Ahhhh, I wish I could have been there. I may be trained to identify classical music, thanks to my Music Studies minor in college, but I could certainly clean up for my team for video game music, especially if they are pre-2000 release games.
Was hoping for some music from Genealogy of the Holy War because nobody would've gotten them due to how restricted access the game is. And that nobody's ever played it of the personnel.
That would be so boring. Like "oh this song is from this hella obscure SNES game that even 99% of the audience hasn't ever heard of when y'all can't even guess the name of Mario Galaxy 2 song"
Some FE1 game songs can be recognized because they are omnipresent like the recruitment theme, FE1 and FE3 have been remade as has FE2 as Shadows of Valentia. However, that does mean 4-6 are left as unrecognizable.
If you do this next year, instead of having 1 member from each team sing the song for the $50 incentive, you need to have Emile here alongside Jon and have Emile be the one singing the songs. Infinity money. Also MARIO KART WII HAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SOUNDTRACKS IM SO DISAPPOINTED IN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU besides jyggy And Melty Monster Galaxy WHAT YOU NEED TO REVOKE YOUR GAMER LISCENCES

The buzzer spam at the end was just the best honestly...
Bizzard the Wizard and the Buzzer Goes Brrrr
Jon was my favorite part of this segment lmao
I warned Jyggy about him. His time on Arcade Pit makes him too powerful to be on a team with anyone else.
This was a great idea for a segment and I loved watching it (and trying to guess the answers myself). Hopefully it comes back at next year's event.

@@CobaltHolmes I think they planned for this segment to be in person hence why it was a whole mess
As a musician and sometimes vgm cover artist, this was an absolutely fantastic segment. I really hope to see it again for future events!
Would probably work way better in person. Great idea and I hope it gets more fleshed out next year
Honestly Jyggy dancing made this even better.
it took me 5 years to realize FamilyJules is a play on Family Jewels😭
....... GOSH DANG IT JULES
He has already foreshadowed his preference for family-unfriendly humor.
Bizzard the Wizard and the Elusive Song Titles
(This took me so long to think...)
I haven't played Sly 2 in ten years and when the music started I went "YEAH THAT'S THE EPISODE MENU"
This was honestly one of my favorite new events of the whole Colosseum!
I love these kinds of music guessing games! Bring it back next year!
Please Bring this Back Next Colosseum!
Jon knows so much about games he should be on more trivia shows
I hope this game show comes back next year! It was a fun segment, hope Jon can join in next time!
Also, I might have been one of the few people who was happy to hear a Sly 2 song get played. (And I even knew what track it was!)
This was a fun and creative idea for a segment 👍
"I know it's in F minor"- That was f-ing great
Finger an F minor to pay respect
I loved "can we answer what Jon knows?"
I hope it comes back

He still deserves full points for that.
Love this segment it need to come back
I didn’t know they did this segment, and in the last segment video I made a comment saying I wanted something like this. I’m soooo happy :D
It felt kinda painful seeing people not get the Earthbound Bus theme. It might just be because I used it before getting Teleport, but I recognized the song immediately.
Yeah I remember it from Silvagunner's remix of it. It's Calliope Mori singing deadbeats to the bus theme. I even saw chat start singing the lyrics. 👍
If Chugga had been there, no doubt he get it
In which Jyggy tests Jack, Masae, Carlos, Tim, Tyler, Jerod, MC, and Jules on their knowledge of VG OSTs. Oh wait, I know this one! It’s on the Genesis! Uhhhhh…
Bizzard the Wizard and the Snailzer
Oh hey I remember Jon Cartwright doing these.
I loved the concept of this segment but I feel like the rules could have used some tightening up and that it would work better with everyone together in person rather than over cams.
I have big plans for next Colo 👀
the second i heard 55:39 all i could think about was a two word phrase from 14 years ago....
Death water.....
Such a fun game just wish the audio didn't clip so much
Love this as a concept for a segment. Next year can we get team disc only?
That would be biased towards Team Disc Only because it involve Jon
This is a cool idea for a segment!
Ahhhh, I wish I could have been there. I may be trained to identify classical music, thanks to my Music Studies minor in college, but I could certainly clean up for my team for video game music, especially if they are pre-2000 release games.
1:06:24 just saving this moment for later.
Anyone hungry? I got some peanut butter and *jam* sandwiches.

Why FE4 and not FE6 or the Famicom Fire Emblem games.
Some FE1 game songs can be recognized because they are omnipresent like the recruitment theme, FE1 and FE3 have been remade as has FE2 as Shadows of Valentia. However, that does mean 4-6 are left as unrecognizable.
Family feud with Family Jules!
Didn't even pull out minecraft for the microsoft section
I feel like Minecraft would be way too easy to guess.
I didn't know everyone lived in Australia lol

YOU NEED TO REVOKE YOUR GAMER LISCENCES
By far the weakest segment, there was to much chaos and poorly execution on the points. I can see why not many people donated.
:(
