Colin James-World Stage Feb 6 2018 (plus Soundcheck Jam) LRBC #30

Colin James doing his big show in the big room. With so many Canadians on the cruise we had to get there early to secure a good video spot so I also recorded the entertaining soundcheck (show starts at 12:10). I was able to spend a bit of time chatting with Colin and his wife giving him some good natured ribbing about how his hair suddenly went grey this year (I told him "at least he has hair"). Really easy guy to talk to. We've seen him many times but after this cruise I like him more. He's the real deal. Harmonica played by Steve Warriner from Ottawa based band Monkeyjunk.

I am a huge fan...I once stood infront of the Coca Cola stage at the Stampede for 4 hours before the show to secure my spot. My husband jokes that security has my picture because I kept hanging on to his leg or mic stand...I was not moving.....lol. I have seen him all over. I wanted so band to be on that cruise. He will be here in the Capital in a few weeks for the Jazz Festival ...but I can't do standing venues anymore.........bummer. He will come again.
