I purchased hybrid Goliath seeds a few years ago and been growing the last 2 generation from those seeds and I love the characters of the plants so I will continue to grow it. Not big tomatoes but the insects haven't really attacked them. The Leaf footed bug love my Queen of the night heirlooms. I don't know if I will be able to get any seeds because they release a toxin into the tomato so I won't even eat them much less than collecting seeds but it is a beautiful tomato.
I like starting in trays and up potting to 32 oz cups. Check out my root training short. You can start early in the season and allow your plants to be ready to harvest shortly after planting in the garden.
I really enjoy watching your channel. What dip do you make from the eggplant? I didn't have success growing black beauty eggplant last year, so I didn't try this year and did other things. Where did you get your seeds from? Thanks!
Your garden looks great! What can you tell me about your fencing? You mentioned the deer got in. I'll need some fencing because they've visited my garden regularly and caused white a bit of loss. I'm hoping not to spend too much if possible. It looks like you used tall t-posts and wire. Is it electrified? How tall is it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Jodi and thanks for your questions. Yes, the deer got in but it was totally my fault because I didn't turn the fence on that night and a single small deer slipped under and tasted a few things. Go to my website and scroll down the landing page and you will see the solar energized fence. Best investment because I was about to be committed. lol.... Very easy to install. T-post with a 2x4. The deer don't even try to jump it because I also have sonic sensors to send a warning. growingoutthebox.com

Another classic video GOTB! Is that deer fencing working well for the most part?
The fence was a game changer. The 1 night I forgot to turn it on 1 small deer wondered in. Very little damage but that was my fault.
Hi everything looks nice and healthy. Do you have the Black Pearl pepper seeds and radish pods seeds?
Putting together a seed packet with about 5 to 10 seeds. Yes.
@@growingoutthebox ok thank you 🙏🏽 I will wait on you.
Do you prefer to directly sow your pepper seeds or do you start them in seed trays?
I like starting in trays and up potting to 32 oz cups. Check out my root training short. You can start early in the season and allow your plants to be ready to harvest shortly after planting in the garden.
What kind of mulch do you use, and where did you purchase? 😊
My personal preference is cypress mulch. I have cypress in all my beds
@@growingoutthebox thank you for sharing
I really enjoy watching your channel. What dip do you make from the eggplant? I didn't have success growing black beauty eggplant last year, so I didn't try this year and did other things. Where did you get your seeds from? Thanks!
I will be offering seeds to most things I am growing on my website growingoutthebox.com
@growingoutthebox okay thank you. For the dip, are you referring to baba ganoush?
What are the best veggies to grow inside a room in the winter?
With good lighting.... Ginger. Depending on space - sweet potato. Any brassicas - cabbage, collards, broccoli. Hope that helps.
How many sweet potatoes did you plant per drum?
5 slips per drum
What zone are you in,that you're still growing Watermelon?
Georgia zone 8A
Your garden looks great!
