This special project serves as a momento of the first lockdown of 2020, when Renaud took to social media to share comfort through the strings of his violin. Notie that this was not performed in a concert hall, or any other venue that would add to the experience. Instead, Meditation brings glory to even the most humble warehouse, with bare walls and no acoustic benefit. Bravo.

Thaïs is an opera by Mr Jules Massenet inspired from a novel by the great French writer Anatole France. Jules Massenet was born in 1842 in a small village (Montaud) nowadays included in my birth town, Saint-Etienne, 55 km in the south-west of Lyon.

I would like to express how much I love your interpretation of this beautiful piece of music. Listening to it, I want to cry, because I have many mixed feelings. I don't know if at the time of publication you were dedicating it to someone in particular, but I have to say that in my case, the night before I lost a very special friend. It is about the best friend of the animal world that one has been able to meet, a dolphin that despite the difficulties that were presented to her due to the lack of his tail, she fought until the end. It's called Winter (Dolphin Tale Movie), and for me it was something as beautiful as that song, despite the limitations that it had. I don't know if you know her story, but I'm telling you because this song for her is about the deep love that a good human being should have for these marine life friends of ours. I don't know if you're going to answer, just to comment on it. Your interpretation is very nice. 🥲

Massenet hizo una maravilla pero este intérprete la reborda
Vibrato parfois un peu lent, interprétation parfois lâché, trop désincarnée sans doute pas assez empreinte de sensualité comme cela le demande.

Écoutez donc, par exemple, Olivier Charlier l'ancien ou David Grimal le jeune 😉
