We kick off today's vlog by risking my life with a tight rope biking stunt, explore the beautiful Eden's Nature Resort, eat some "awful" and "worst" food at the famous Lyndon's Restaurant, and explore the gorgeous Samal Island and surrounding islands. As a davawenyo and Mindanaon thank you Mikey for promoting Davao,. it hurts to hear how our fellow Filipinos are ignorant on how beautiful the island of Mindanao is, what they only see and hear are all the negative side of Mindanao. Cleanest and clearest drinking water next only to New Zealand, abundant fruits and species of flowers, beautiful beaches, mountain ranges,tropical forests, secret falls, peaceful place with a very low crime against people and property, discipline people, cheap but fresh foods (the fruit basket of the Philippines), and the richest province of the Philippines in terms of gold, copper and nickel,take it from a family of miners. Filipinos don't know it why it is called " EDEN " which mean the Land of promise. If our government continues the federalism, we davawenyos will be very happy. Our city will prosper even more despite of terrorism and criticism,. Even with a very low tourism, Our city and province will survive and will continue to flourish.Thank you Mikey.

That bike ride's soooo uncomfortable just by the looks of it. Having to traverse that narrow cable while it wobbles must've been hellish. Bet it was hard to take in the view and concentrate at the same time. ;-)

I can still feel ur pain on Malaya's passing.. 💔 Don't make it too hard for urself Mikey. Malaya's in a better place now and we saw how u loved and cared for her. ❤ We're just sad that we weren't able to see her soar.. But I'm sure Malaya had her best time with u. ❤☺❤

As usual, Mikey's adventures and antics moved me to feel a variety of things:
1. Empathy - Very touched by the genuine grieving and reflection over Malaya. So true that the loss of a beloved companion (human or animal) weighs heavily on us and we can't help but think of them constantly. And we all wish to be healed of the grief and "fly again" as MIkey put it so well.
2. Awe and wonder -- That sandbar at Samal Island looked like another beach paradise, thanks to the beautiful videography! Kudos to whoever manned or programmed the drone!
3. Thrill -- The aerial bike segment had me feeling both an adrenaline rush and weak-kneed (and a little weak-bladdered)! Respect to Mikey for keeping his head through the fear, as well as for not pressuring RJ and Wella for turning back.
4. Curiosity -- Serious minds want to know: What is the true unicorn of the Philippines? Is it Lechon or is it Crispy Pata?

Wow loving the water slide i need to go bad next time i go to Davao i did not know they had slides and such there. I talked to my wife last time i went we did go to Eden the wishing fountain is still beautiful i have pictures with my brother in law under the canape of flowers they where so beautiful when i went. They look like when you went maybe they where not in season or dead. We went to Samal Island also, there is a shrine in Davao also it is on top of a small mountain i think it was on top of where you went to the restaurants on the first Vlog you had in Davao a Catholic shrine the view is so beautiful from up there over looking the city. Enjoy brother!!!!
next time you go to davao go to maxima they have a giant slide which leads to open ocean

So many different emotions on this latest blog of yours Mikey. I felt sad but hopeful and that's because of the legacy of a little bird from Quiapo. Malaya had become not just one of those obscure little birds that people see and pass by on the streets everyday. She was made special by your vlogs and by your caring hand. And that's something we can look back in gratitude.💜

So happy you are blessed enough to take these trips. I'm am so grateful to see all of the sites and experiences through your lens and to hear your comments about it all. Malaya is in your heart forever. Mikey, she loves you and is not holding anything against you. She would not want you to feel guilty. She was and is pure love and she's grateful for the life you gave her. She might not have experienced a happy life it it weren't for your love for her. She would have died in that awful cage, crammed full of other birds if it weren't for you rescuing her. Pure love, forgiveness and peace be yours eternally Mikey. Thank you for this vlog MIkey. Couldn't go one vlog without tears. But the mad/scared look on RJ's face on that water slide dried them up. He looked like he could hurt you and I was hoping you would push him and both of you go sliding down. I think if I had my choice, I would rather go to Davao than Manila. Well have a great day!

Awesome and thanks for sharing Mikey. I love your prayer and wishes for Malaya at that beautiful flowery wishing well. It gave me teary eyes rolling down my cheek. It reminded me of my pets too that became part of my life. The first few months were hard emotionally. It’s hard to let go and cause of the memories. Thanks for that Mikey. It's great to see u and Rj go to these places in the Philippines. Gives me ideas on where to visit on my next journey home. Just a small hurdle of 15hr flight from NZ 😕😅.

were u safe on that bike on the rope. Wondering how they keep the bike secured while it moves on the rope. I'm really in love w Phillipines, entertainment is Superb.
coraza naoro well, one as you can see the bike doesn't have rubber wheels so it won't slip and theres something, I think it's a cable or a rod at the back of the bike that attaches to a rope above the rider

Yeah the bike actually hangs from a top wire but still the physics made me question why lots of people weren't falling off! Lol! So scary!
