Does workability affect the strength of the concrete? Assuming that the less workable concrete is well compacted. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I'm in a college concrete course right now and thinking about this. Would workability affect strength, or would the strength of the concrete, or moisture content or stiffness, affect the workability of the concrete?

how about the water content of the aggregate? isn't it affect the performance (slump/workability)?
