      Same, I got so embarrassed returning a relatively expensive coat bc I didn't end up needing it (Spent holidays in hot 🔥 Florida) tags were still on and had the receipt when all the sudden a woman walked up to the register next to me with a box of clothes that she was returning. She has no shame about it either, she just said “i have a ton of stuff to return” like nothing ad my mouth jut dropped. The cashier was so kind to me though, they asked for my ID and must be seen I had never returned anything there before. Not sure how it all works in retail but I sure did not that find that pleasant. I probably would've kept the coat but it rains a lot where I live and I only ever use rain coats and snow jackets during the winter so no chance of me using the coat.

    I used to work the beauty department at target and you can only return it if it’s mostly unused, it’s because they don’t typically have testers like Sephora.
    They also don’t put any used beauty product back, it gets voided from the system and put in a container for processing. Part of the job was to look for opened items like lipsticks or anything people might’ve tested so we could collect it and void it. If that makes anyone feel better 😂

      It doesn't since It's more the principal for me that children might attempt this thinking it's okay or cool to do since they saw it on youtube from their favorite youtuber. Kids don't have fully developed brains so they might want to try this. It's the fact that it doesn't have a warning on it saying it's fake for "just in case" since this will come back on her for not posting a warning that it was a joke and get into some hot water. The box did not appear used but the two product tubes were crinkled up, all the product squeezed out, one glove, the brush, and the mix tray - missing. Kroger refunded me and I got a new kit but it cost me my time and disappointment.

    For some people who live on the poverty line. This is the only way they can have access to essential needs or even food. They also flag you after a certain number of returns so you can’t do it anymore.

    Worked service desk for years at a retailer. The company teaches you one thing then if you deny a used item for the return, they usually just ask for management and management tells us to process the return. I've had to return over a dozen things we didn't even sell.The store I worked at was one of the smaller non super centers so we didn't have a tire center,food, bakery,deli etc.but had to return tire,fridge, etc. Management was a joke. The person who has to deal with it that Noone realizes is the claims associate. She [in my store] was the one who got the upc..package info on each item that came back without tags,each used item that's taken back that isn't food[food used to be able to be returned but was just thrown out] gets sent back to that department and put back on the shelf. If they notice it is open or broken,they have to clearance it.Any softlines undergarments even socks opened are sent back to the manufacturer thru claims. Unopened are clearanced. If they arnt visibly used,they rewrapped with plastic wrap and clearance. Now this lady Patty was very good at her job. She made sure that if someone took a return that you shouldn't have,she would tell you. I'd hate having to do a return that I know she would get bitched at..it's an amount that is valued each month or week that is recorded and reflects the store cost store bonuses,employee hours,temp staff,hiring more fulltime/pt,firing people. And also there's things that w.m has contracts for IF the packaging are all included in the return. Housewares mostly. Electronics and photo have warranty info that is a pain cuz the warranty is bull. Electronics and photo had to come up and verify each item per return. We had someone return a computer and taped it up good but had a brick in it. I had that one my first 6 months on the job. I was told by claims and a.p that even if it's not opened and the customer brings it in, it is OK for me to open it infront of the customer.i tell them that I will tell management that I opened it. Normally Electronics are the ones to do it.. but laptops have this security tape on it so if Electronics checks it and it's sealed then the return is processed. You see it all though. W.m doesn't care about these little transactions of lotion if it's one time. People have skin conditions or allergies so we have to take it back. It can't be empty or half gone. Usually if it's a third gone it's iffy. But probably OK. We had baby formula be denied cuz your not allowed to sell it back but we did wic. Babies have issues with formula but we have to have management approve cuz the wic check and foodstanps either goes on foodstamps or a giftcard. Um.whatelse. if you have the receipt for face cream or makeup and you used a little and your nice about it. You can return it. If your nice,have your receipt, return 2 or 3 things no issues and do It like 1 a month or so I don't think you'd get introuble...but I know I feel like crap for returning anything even if it's legit. I feel like crap when I had to return a soda I bought with my giftcard just to get busfare home cuz I lost my 2dollars in the store. But yea

    We should have the right to try things out and return it if we don’t like it. Banning returns bc someone might steal some will end up in many fewer sales as you’re making people less likely to go out on a limb and try your products. With skincare it can take several uses to determine if it’s good or not for your skin. The corporations that exploit their employees will be just fine

    Omg... horrible... they put it on clearance back on the shelf and some poor woman comes along and washes her face and she is allergic to something that isn't listed on the label... and she ends up in the hospital.... and then me her emergency room nurse takes care of her... and her chemical burns 💔💔💔 and she shows me this video and says that teens are swapping out products to get the return credits and apparently she washed her face with toilet cleaners when it was suppose to be noxema.... I never ever heard of anyone doing this and swapping out the products..... what is this world coming too.... its like another level to the licking ice cream danger... people are really getting worse... if you can't afford it don't buy it... and if its an opened unsealed product DONT BUY IT!!!!! learn from my patient who is now blind in one eye.... 💔💔💔😭😭😭😭🤬🤬🤬🤬

      omg that’s horrible I always assumed they weren’t allowed to put anything that was already open back out even for clearance i know damaged items are ok but not already open. but also in the posters defense she didn’t replace what was inside the items she bought she just put some of the desired product in another travel conditioner and then returned it.

      @@chelseasaint-hilaire9864 I mean the fact that they sell it again is pretty stupid. Also in this instance she didn't replace what was in it. I don't think it's their fault. The store shouldn't restock a product that was bought for this very reason.

    • @chess.wigton
      @chess.wigton 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I've never seen a store that restocks unsealed products that got returned. Majority of the time they throw out things even in it's sealed and returned minutes later. Hell, even it's a product that has no use other than decoration like a keychain or a vase they'll sometimes throw it all away. On top of that the people that do these kinds of things just fill it up with water most of the time. So I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say you're spouting bullshit

    • @chess.wigton
      @chess.wigton 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Plus who the hell goes to an emergency room during an allergic reaction and happens to have this kind of video on hand? Depending on the kind of allergic reaction I'd probably have my main concern being don't die. Not 'lets frame teens for doing bad things'. Most of the time it's not even teens doing it, but the adults cause most teens either can't have jobs yet or just don't buy things and return it cause they don't know the limits of being able to get away with things like that yet.
