Twisters is intense - Great special effects, likeable and good actors. He kept his shirt on the entire film - which might explain dog photo. Great intro to weather - + very cool fantasy solutions, but environmental impact could be awful.
In 2003/2004 I was on my way to tarrant county community college in north Fort Worth, and I was diving on the highway, it was raining then the rain got so heavy I could barely see out of the windshield so myself and other cars pulled over and stopped. I think in the middle of all of it, the emergency warning came on the radio saying a tornado touched down nearby. Then the rain let up and I drove to the campus. When I parked in the parking lot, I looked in front of me and the sky just looked overcast then I looked in the review mirror and the sky was almost black, the clouds were like a Smokey black. So I panicked and jumped out the car and started to try to run across this huge parking lot to the building and It was like I was literally running against the wind! And I was trying to run my a** off and was just only able to move at a walking pace. But I made it to building somehow and when I tried to open those huge glass window industrial building doors, the wind ripped the door out of my hand and slammed it shut! And there were people inside who just looked at me like 😳 then I like banged on the window door for them let me in and they did of course. And luckily that was the end of it. It just barely missed us. But a very intense experience! Not my only tornado experience but the scariest.

The original 'Twister' -1996 feels much more real compared to 'Twitsters' -2024 from the previews I've seen. The technology creating the tornados may have improved dramatically but it seems superior story telling/cinematography can beat the latest tech.
