A boat load of tips 'n tricks here!! Unique manipulations from a master PS artist - WOW! The manipulations come in a very rapid fire succession sometimes leaving me wondering where an adjustment layer came from; doing a 5-second replay segment many times does not always provide the revelation I need but eventually that same manipulation appears again at another stage in the development of the image.
A very good tutorial! :) Can you also please create a tutorial with painting matte painting in photoshop? Using brushes, references and basically drawing from scratch?

I like the pace of the video. I wouldnt say its a beginners pace though. 6 minutes in and im thinking to myself "wait what did he do". But the pace is almost speed painting like. But not so fast you cant add comments. I really like this pace with narration.
superb video i picked up one or two things i can use from this which i hope to implement into woodland images / btw the 1st castle you placed on the mountain is "corfe castle" from Dorset in the UK 😁
Studying matte painting is still worth in 2022 even after the Ai art? Do you think still filmmakers are using matte painting to create realistic enviroinments?
Matte painting has been one of my favorite areas to study and to work with, and having such a nice video on youtube is really a nice thing for everybody to use as a learning material. Thanks for the video and nice work!

While I do agree with you, especially considering most of his work is my style, you cannot knock Abbey. Her work is so detailed and high quality. Her art is not my style but she is so talented. I am often blown away by the detail in her work when I see it. 💜
@@catsNplanets I agree her works are highly detailed but her content on this channel is not so good , I don't mean to be disrespectful to her but most of her tips and tricks videos feels like she says a lot of stuffs but none of that helps me much (which is disappointing as I would like to know how she does her artworks) when I can just go to tudvid's channel to look at single video that has 15-25 tips which he talks fast yet easy to understand and it's everyday appliable. Even though Redouane has little trouble speaking English , the parts that he does say , feels more useful to put into work . While Abbey's artworks are great and highly detailed I haven't seen much video of her explaining how she does it , most of her video is mostly about using different workspace , plug-ins to use and stuffs like that , which I never put into use , like I did install the pureref she recommended but I never used it after 1 time.

Hello! thank you very much for your videos, I am very glad that I found them. Can I ask you a question about the brushes? I created the brush myself and I can't make it with an eraser, it jumps off. Do you know if it is possible to make a brush with an eraser, stamp or a mix brush?
I want to recreate this one so bad, but all the images are so expensive....too expensive for a college student like me...what can i do? can you provide me an zip file with all those images please
Due to licensing issues we are unable to do that, But there are plenty of websites on line you can look through to find similar images: Pexels, DeviantArt ect - Matt
On or other time i am going to attempt a peice like this, a huge scene with loads of images, i am mostly worries about if my laptop will handle this many layers, but i guess, it will only take testing

*Correction* : the shortcut for changing brush size is holding Alt + Right mouse button + moving the mouse to right and left
