Yes - I was actually at Harris yesterday, trying to make a video on pulling crankbaits. Fished two creeks for 1.5 hours. Didn't get a single bite. Switched to the jig set-up I used above and caught 3 fish inside of 15 minutes, lol. I would say the best combo is a 1/16 oz red jighead paired with that black and chartreuse body. If you move 0.8 - 1 mph, I think the jigs swim about 4-7 ft down, as I rarely get them hung on the bottom. Sometimes the bite is slow, sometimes it's fast a furious. If you have a fishfinder and mark crappie in a creek (they're usually the larger marks in the middle of the water column), that's where you'll want to try this. Fish towards the backs of the creeks where the water is 15 feet or less right now, as that's where the crappie will be this time of year. I'll post a video of my Harris trip in the next day or so. If you try this, LMK how you do. Tight lines!

Nice to find another jordan angler on here. For a bass angler, what am I looking for on the lake map and the sonar to ID crappie vs other species? Do you troll creek channels or any particular structure?

In the warmer months, crappie tend to be midway or higher in the water column. They're smaller targets than bass, but most of the ones I find are solitary or might be in groups of 2-3 at the most. I prefer fishing the creeks vs the main channels in the warmer months, as they're more concentrated in smaller areas. I'll sometimes zig zag across the creek until I find areas where the fish are concentrating / biting. This technique either works really well or not at all, lol... if the water levels are normal and the temperature has been consistent for at least 4-6 days, then this technique works pretty well spring through fall.

Were you fishing two jigs per line or just one? That white rod looked like it had two so were you fishing multiple depths? Nice slabs.

I was fishing one jig per line. The white rod originally had a shad rig on it, but I swapped it out for a single 1/16 oz red jighead

Wow 15.25” is a massive crappie here. My PB on Falls is 13.25 so far. What part of the lake do you fish? Was thinking of launching from Farrington ramp and fishing above the bridge when I give Jordan a try. Have you had any time on Falls? Really wish I had a day with Freddie Sinclair to learn. I couldn’t talk him into guiding anymore recently.

I fish all over Jordan. During the warmer months, fish are everywhere, but I spend most of my time catching them in the creeks slow trolling jigs, minnows, and crankbaits. I’m going to try and spend more time this year getting more proficient with my livescope and casting to them. I did it yesterday at a farm pond. It was fun, but they were all small fish, so I need something larger to target.
