One thing I don't understand at 4:00 is why when moving the peak/vertex fo the triangle, it remains on the same line paralel with the base of the triangle. Why doesn it go higher?
The animation starting at around 4 minutes into the video was the most valuable for myself and my daughter. That really clarified our questions. Awesome! Thank you! It is pretty cool how the graphics were blended into the video.
What's the background board or software? Is it just a massive touchscreen or did you do it in front of a green screen like weather man? If the latter then how do you even coordinate/synchronize the contents with your own fingers? If the former then that's a fab touchscreen. The visual effect is superb! Did you do the animation with software like Geogebra or Desmos?
Thanks! My kids are living Beast Academy but sometimes they come to me with questions from other stuff and I knew what worked but couldn’t quite remember why. I love your videos.
Although you were very detailed in your explanation, it didn't provide the help I was seeking. I have an obtuse triangle with sides measuring 60.5, 24, and 43.8 for the base. (I'm searching for the height. )
This doesn't make sense to me. You said you want to solve the triangle by using BC. Then you went on to use a completely different method by basically drawing another triangle (right triangle) and subtracting that from the total triangle, that method makes sense, no doubt, but you still didn't answer your original question of how to solve using BC.....
The animation really helped an argument I was having about having to add to the base. Thank you for clearing this up!!
Best explanation, the animation part made everything crystal clear
Fantastic. Mathematics, even the basic concepts, show us what appears so in our eyes can be so untrue.
Many thanks from Brazil

THANK YOU I UNDERSTAND NOW AND I GOT AN A+ IN MY EXAM WOOHOO THANKS!
Thank you, very clear - great graphics!
very helpful
Really very nice video. Keep continuing like this.
Thank you! This is exactly the explanation I was looking for!

It's a screen
Its a green screen
@@studyid8559 no its a green screen
@@khanbroshk are you sure, look at the screen that his left hand touches at time 6:11->6:12

Thank you so much. Super clearly explained!
You are gifted! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Very clear explanation.
which is that tool you used for explaining
How to solve an obtuse scalene triangle with 1 angle and its opposite side as given?
what is tht thing u write on?
Tevin Thomas its a screen and he is in front of it
Thanks for the through explanation, and thanks for elaborating on that little bit about orthogonal at the end :)
papa bless
Sohn Jmith haaa your pic is redd wite
awesome animation, thanks
It really helped
Base 8 CM, longest side 18 cm, ht of obtuse triangle on base 8 is 10 cm. Find the area of obtuse triangle?
Very nice video
How do I know the height
Thanks! My kids are living Beast Academy but sometimes they come to me with questions from other stuff and I knew what worked but couldn’t quite remember why. I love your videos.
Thank you bro
Ahhhhh... The obtuse triangle.
*Moans*
I'm so freaking confused...
This formula is key to Newton's proof of Kepler's Second Law that the triangles sweep out equal areas in equal time.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!! Im in 6th grade and in advanced math and forgot my notes in class and theres a test tomorrow so thanks for the help!
Thanks for the vid you helped my Dad and I
Thanks got into an argument with my daughter, she won - this proves I was wrong 😅

it is the answers
Can't we get area of rectangle after doubling the area of obtuse angle triangle? As we can get in acute angle triangle.
Sir please reply
A=1/2(adjescent)(hyposomething)sin(thetha)
i knew the answer from the beginning but the video is so entertaining that i watched it through anyways.
i thought the formula was sinah cosine(x). Dab on eem
I'm so confused, I'm trying to work with the area of an obtuse triangle, can I have some help?
Can't we just solve it by subtracting the area of two right angled triangles from the area of rectangle😏😏
But HOW do you find out what the base is? He just seems to know
w0w very understanding..
I have a exam tomorrow I hope I could apply your solutions.
so how'd it go
Lol haahxthanks my teacher woukd have yelled at me thanksnlolol haha
Just use 1/2(a)(b)SinC
in a nutshell its
b(h)/2
(base multiplied by height, then divide that by 2)
love u sir
u solve my great problem
ah 720p i have not missed u
how can i proved Altitude of obtuse angle tringle is exterior of tringle plz help by mathematicly theorem not by cunstruction
i have phone6
U r amazing
Didn’t answer the question, thanks for wasting my time.
7 minutes ago I was screaming about how much I hated obtuse triangles
How to find base of a obtuse triangle
AHHHHH THE OBTUSE TRIANGLE~~~~
good teaching but hard
Horrible you talked a little to much.
+denise taylor that's rude be nice we are trying to have a better generation not make it worse!!!
These videos are to go with a homeschool curriculum-does your schoolteacher talk?
Hate to burst ur bubble but talk less and more effective you are confusing
Don’t be rude, we are trying to get a better generation, not making it worse. I saw this other reply so it’s not mine, but I completely agree.
