Wow, what an intense video! The storytelling and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved how you uncovered the mysteries of the abandoned house-it felt like a real adventure! Your insights and background details added so much depth. Can't wait to see more exploration videos like this. Great job
Hi Dutch and Family. Abandoned house is looking great with the coat of paint. Yall are making great progress on the interior. You can be very proud of your accomplishments. God bless and love yall ❤❤
Looking Great. Put in an upgraded circuit breaker box, one with a generator and solar panel provisions. Use several circuits. It is best to balance the loads. You will have a line 1 and a line 2. Try to not put more load on one than the other. Loads change between night time and daytime. In the kitchen you will want to run a toaster oven and microwave at the same time. Should be on 2 different circuits, Line 1 and Line 2. It takes a bit of planning. If you are scratching your head just add another circuit, lol.
Great video Dutch. Glad you’re back working on the house. You’re really busy! Don’t know where you and Brandi get all your energy. Love you guys. Blessings from OkC.❤
Our first snow hit this morning in Minnesota....2 days ago it was 84 ! Right now it's 31 degrees and it feels like temp is 27.....I'd rather have your winter ... Love what you're doing in the "town" house.
Hi Dutch the rental property looks pretty from the outside, big changes for sure, will be interesting for the inside once there is more work done. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
You should take out the other chimney. It will make it easier when put in wiring, drywall. Plus you won't have the soot smell in the house. Oh believe, you can smell it right now, but after the place is all inclosed you will. We had to remove drywall to remove the half chimney to get the smell out.
I think so too. It is also a pathway inside and out for temperature. Can't really insulate it. Not to sure where it's weight is located in the foundation. On the plus side it would stop a bullet.
We put a McCool in a camp trailer that doesn't go on the road anymore. It originally had a unit on the roof that went out. This was cheaper than having the other one fix. We did have one of the welds to brake where it was sweated together. Nephew was able to fix it and get it back to working. Mother inlaw used to go out there in the day time and sit and fall asleep. She said that it was peaceful. She's gone now but Mr Cool still works. Worth the money. A lot cheaper than a central air and heat.
I did 4 individual mini splits for this reason. If one goes out it won’t affect the rest of the house. If I’m not in the room like my office and guest room I leave them off. My three bedroom house last month was 121 dollars for power! Biggest bill was 231. In the dead of the summer with my rv hooked up and the AC on in it ! With folks living in it. Very happy with the outcome
When our daughter and her husband moved both of our families helped move them. My husband and oldest son are both named Randy. My son in laws father is named Randy too. We had 3 Randy's that day. Lol
Shawn,y'all got a ton of work done, its looking awesome, starting from the ground up.keep up the hard work, its hard to be a landlord I was for 20yrs,its no joke.seriously
Without a vapor barrier between the drywall and the insulation you will have moisture, mold and fungus problems in the walls. It is imperative that you put plastic up after the insulation. It is a big mistake to leave it as it is. Those added 2 by's just add more heat loss to the walls. Just install the 16" then cut to fit the rest of the space.
Like how you’re opening it up-it’s going do so much, for space... And the yard/curb appeal is coming along nicely... What a Great journey this is going to be-can’t wait to watch more!!! 😇 🙏🏻
My daughter is going to finish her basement for me, eventually. I told her mini splits. She said no. After researching she now says yes. My neighbor in a 2 story home just paid 20k to replace her 2 heat pumps (each floor). We live in the south (further than you) too and don't use forced air gas furnaces. Think the worst weather I've ever had in 71 years was 5 degrees for like a week during covid. Her basement is under ground on 2 sides and full daylight windows on the other two. Should be sufficient. I sleep cold in winter anyway and just use a/c to remove humidity in the summer. Her house is pretty water tight.
OK Randy i enjoyed watching the video I pray everything gose well with the rest of the house them split heatin units look purty durn good I may have to try them out I don't know i rent were we live i don't own my own house but it a safe lookin way to heat ok God bless yall see ya on the next one
Happy Halloween 🎃 👻. The old wood was killer. Last almost forever and is good hard wood. If thats fiberglass insulation take a cool bath with panty hose. It will take most of the fiberglass out. Hopefully you have you have cameras.
Check your screw gun out to see if they sell a Sheetrock screw only to a depth of not going through the cardboard. They are adjustable so they can be set to what you need
If that's your rental property are there different rules regarding rewiring electrics installing electrical equipment then if it was a property you were planning on living in yourself?
Thank you to MRCOOL for sponsoring today's video! Check out mrcooldiy.com/ to get your mini split today!

You're good with the pink gloves. It's cancer awareness month.
The exterior house paint makes a HUGE positive impact!👍👍
Dutch is making good progress with the renovation of that abandoned old house! Well done, Dutch!

Beautiful house 🏠 god bless all whom work on it
That insulation looks like Rock wool. It's good stuff. I think that you will like it better than the stuff with the paper backing.
The house is looking good. Glad you got the mini split hooked up. Thanks for sharing the update on the house. GOD bless y'all.
Thanks for sharing.

I think your doing a awesome job Dutch and the two Randy's making the house looking brand new yay Hi Brandy and Dutch and family God bless you
Super! 💪❤❤❤
The people that I bought my little place down in Florida put in mini splits. It is so nice to be able to regulate the temperature in each room
I did 4 individual mini splits for this reason. If one goes out it won’t affect the rest of the house. If I’m not in the room like my office and guest room I leave them off. I am so excited ❤
Reno’s are looking good!
Dutch, I would do the wiring. before I put that insulation in.
YES!!!
🤔
When our daughter and her husband moved both of our families helped move them. My husband and oldest son are both named Randy. My son in laws father is named Randy too. We had 3 Randy's that day. Lol

Hi 👋 Dutch you are working 💪
After buying this and remodeling it, you have a great house to sell.🎉🎉🎉🎉.
Say hi to white TShirt Randy for us!
Shawn,y'all got a ton of work done, its looking awesome, starting from the ground up.keep up the hard work, its hard to be a landlord I was for 20yrs,its no joke.seriously
rock wool rocks it absolutely fire proof
it fits snuggly in the wall
but will need a vapor/ moisture barrier
Its also has a noise deadening effect

It's too funny that every time you say hi to the dog named "Naynay" I look up and say hi because that's my nick name.... LOL!

Hang on Randy to that ladder.Things are coming down.
recommend a ventless gas heater or stand alone electric furnace with out air conditioning coil heating only
Happy Halloween 🎃 👻. The old wood was killer. Last almost forever and is good hard wood.

I seen Kevin at hidden heights for a mini split in his garage. It looks pretty easy.
Lol, my Mema used to used to say "piddling away"!
Say hi to Randy the Carpenter!
3 Randy’s...
Sounds like someone needs a nickname, lol!!!
⚪️
😄
With all those Randy's working, makes it ez to remember the names.
Hi 👋 Dutch
Don't you need a moisture barrier? I would do one just to be on the safe side, especially for a/c.
My sister-in-law had the same name problem with my brother and his two best friends (all named James). She called them James A, James B and James C.
THE INSULATION YOU USED IS WHAT WE IN CANADA CALL FRICTION FIT
Well in Oklahoma it must be really Randy over there LOL it's raining Randy's. You know what Randy means in England when you're feeling Randy LOL
Check your screw gun out to see if they sell a Sheetrock screw only to a depth of not going through the cardboard. They are adjustable so they can be set to what you need
Hope you take care of your electrical before you start with the instalation.
Your church friend Randy is he the same guy that helped Chad at Dodd Farms with some plumbing.
No
Hello Randy
as a35 year HVAC technician you don't want to run mini split or any system HVAC during construction VOID warranty!!!!!!?
Randy the carpenter still looks like he’s pushing thru pain just to walk. I pray and hope for his health 🙏
You don’t need to line with plastic with installation and drywall from
Mold?
If that's your rental property are there different rules regarding rewiring electrics installing electrical equipment then if it was a property you were planning on living in yourself?
Hey Dutch, you all cleaned the place up💪👍.
JO JO IN VT 😡🎃💞🍉😅
Like Kevin at hidden heights ran a while ago in his shop.
Your working i don't care about the color of your gloves ❤
I would put up a camera on the house 🏠 to keep homeless out ❤
you need to put plastic over the insulation for a vapor barrier
Obviously you're doing major renovations.
Wood trim around the windows...hopefully it doesn't rot
Vapor barrier..??
Looks great 🙏♥️😎☀️😊✨🌟👍✌️🎃🤡👾🎃 👋👋👋 Hi Randy's 👋👋👋
Don't you need to put up a vapor barrier between the rockwool and sheetrock?
DUTCH, IT WOULD BE SO BEAUTIFUL IF YOU'D ADD SOME BEAMS ON THE CEILING FROM YOUR WOODS, CUT WITH YOUR SAW!!!!
❤
Dutch has pink gloves 🤣 just kidding
My brother’s name is Randy
RENTAL HOUSE😊
BOO! 👻👻👻
Is it a kit house. 2*3 shallow walls..?
Where's your vapor barrier
❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
You need a vapour barrier once insulation is in.
Tooken? Did you you mean taken; or is that an Oklahoma word?
