@@applecreekoutdoors4589 yes sir it will look brand new. I have friend in Canada that have a sugar house. We rent cabins at the lake front property to fish walleyes. Anyway he showed me their operation and they put sap in their pans for like months. It does smell sour but it works awesome. Then I saw it on TH-cam one time and could believe it. I will link the video in my next vlog.
i take a 1/2 piece of copper pipe about 18" long put it on a flat surface and flatten it down to about 1/4" wide. then i have fittings go from 1/2" to the size of a dry vac. hose. works great.
Great video. Looks like fun. Thanks for sharing!
I'll message up your dad for locations where we get our totes.
Great job boys! Keep it up!
I heard a joke in England….. “That’s as rare as a bloke with a Hoover”…. LOL
I heard milk stone remover from Tractor Supply works
We use leader pan cleaner and it makes the pans look brand new
Thanks! I'll get some ordered. Where do you get it from?
@@applecreekoutdoors4589 we get ours from leader evaporator in Vermont you can order it online, hope you guys have a good season!
I used CLR to get rid of lime scale.
At the end off the season leave the pans full of sap for a few weeks or month. Trusts me you’ll be surprised. Rinse with a power washer or hose.
I'll have to try that. Does it even soften the lime scale on the sides?

Like a scraper?
no it is like a sucktion hose when you hitch it up to a dry vac.@@applecreekoutdoors4589
bulk tank acid from a farmer with a milk house works great.
I 've heard that works and would be willing to try it if I had welded pans. Is that safe for soldered pans? My pans are the lead-free soldered pans.
is it silver solder?@@applecreekoutdoors4589
Grab some stainless steel cleaner for the pans CDL solo
The only thing I can find that I can have shipped is Oakite. Is that the right stuff?
What’s your brix number. I have seen several 2024 locations that are low like pensulvania yielding 2 to 2.5 brix.
The sap has been coming in around 1.5. We always run a lower than northern producers, but not this low. Definitely an anomaly year.
Just checked a couple days ago. 0.9%.
