    Nice design, most attractive goblets, I like the looks of them. Yes easy except for one more essential thing, the temperament and mindset of the potter. If ever I can get that in line I'll give them another try these ways.

      I have a playlist in the vid description which may be able to help with specific trouble areas! :). Good luck!! I’m happy to assist with questions if they arise! :)

    I will have to try both these techniques because I am not sure which one my clay body will like best! Thank you for the video

    Fantastic video! My friend asked me if I could replicate a chipped goblet he got as a present. No way, I said, I'd have no clue how to do it. I think I may give it a try after seeing you do it & explain it to me. Thanks!!

    Could you pleas do a video on when, where, why, and how to burnish? and whether its better to burnish with an old spoon or a rock (polishes agate)?

    Just attempting goblets now - I’m glad I found this 😊
    Which way do you prefer? I am going to try both ways 👍

      I honestly like both ways! But, probably the separate tops and bottoms, then if I make a bunch, I can mix and match what I like!

    How much clay for stem? 1/2 lb or 1 lb?

    I’d be worried about cracking between the two pieces. Unless drying time is slowed by days to a week to prevent that

    • @KaransPotsAndGlass

      I always dry things slowly under a towel for several days- and I’ve never had an issue!

    No concerns for the bottom not being level with a table/surface since it was the top of what you threw?

      @KaransPotsAndGlass  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not when it is centered. IF in doubt, always trim that top edge to level it!

      HI Blanca- My Etsy site is KaransPotsAndGlass- but for bisque items, you would do better to just find a local pottery painting place that makes them from molds. I don't make just bisque pieces to sell, as with my name/brand on it, I like to control all aspects of creating for my reputation.

    how long does it take for clay to be leather hard? i’m v new

    • @KaransPotsAndGlass
      @KaransPotsAndGlass  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is dependent upon the humidity of where you have it stored, and the thickness of your clay. If you keep it uncovered, it could get weather hard in an hour or so. At school, we keep projects in a damp cabinet overnight for them to get leather hard. At home, I often put a towel or two over my pieces to allow them to get leather hard.
