I was there in 1998 wherein high tech/ def video and camera were not publicly known. I am planning to go there again this Dec 2011 covered with high tech gadgets so that i can also help you explore the beauty of the Phil. through my own personal Palawan adventure. CONGRATULATIONS! your video is so amazing, it reveals the very nature of Palawan and of the Phil. thanks!
oh wow. I almost cried when the boat emerged out into the sea. That was so beautiful. Quite extraordinary. I've been to boracay but palawan is definitely next!!!
Proud to have it listed as one of the wonders of the world. I have to make a trip with friends and my love ones. I Love caves a lot , been in Lava beds and Lehmans cave in Great Basin but have not seen one w/ a river inside it.
I was here a few days ago and its amazing! Tips for the locals and foreign people that have plans to go here. contact a tourist agency 3 months before your vacation. you need to get permits and its kind of hard now to get because the slots become full easily they're trying to protect and save the underground by limiting the number of people that will enter everyday
Hi, we are assisting DOT-Mimaropa in the promotion of Mimaropa Festival, can we use parts of your video on PPUR in our video? Will observe proper attribution thanks!

@FherLorenz Its a beautiful country dont get me wrong, one of my favorites, but what I am saying is they need pride, a future, and tourism is a way for advancement and I sincerely wish success upon them.
@Gap32123 Light is Prohibited inside.it may stress the bats and other nocturnal living things in the cave.its better to use a flashlight or thermal/night vision gogles.
I wish I could personally visit this place as soon as possible..so amazing..perfect creation of God..I so love my mother country..I L♥ve Puerto Princesa..I feel so proud to be Filipino..2 thumbs up..
How much is the 1. City Tour Puerto Princesa 2. Island Hopping W/underground river tour? 3. best but cheapest aircon room in Puerto Princesa? any one can answer? or suggest nmn kayo ng iterinary na tour na pwede gawin sa puerto princesa for 3 days 2 nights pls. thanks
I haven't there but if you're observation re: tour guide is correct, then there needs a major shakeup of the tour guide manual Tour guides should not dwell purely on cave formation because stalagmites and stalactites are present in other caves too; rather emphasis should be more on the scientific/technical aspect of the subterranean river such as its unique marine life, delicately balanced ecosystem, super-energy the presence of Miocene Age sea mammal fossil, and so on.
Philippines is a wonderful country! When I was there I see a lot of beautiful beach here in Paris beach are so dirty compare to Philippine's beach The best beach that I see in my life in Philippine is in Mindanao
To those who are bashing this World Heritage Site before making any nasty comments just make you really know the Philippines that well, its culture, the people and the places :)
St. Paul Underground River is no longer the longest subterranean river in the world, though navigation-wise, it still is. The record is now being held by Mexico.
Hello po. i want to ask permission from you that i have to use some parts of your video for my movie lesson in science in abiotic and intertidal zone. i was asked to message id not emailed you asking for a permission and i found this page. My work will be published in deped web after passing quality assurance. looking forward for you favorable consideration pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!teacher from bicol
Instead of letting a tourist to assist the guide by holding the light, the guide should be the one holding the light while explaining what the tourists can see in the cave.
@mskittykat1101 It's 8.2 kilometers long (world's longest). I am not really sure how long the trip inside the cave is, but Im sure you'll never notice the time. Hours seem to be just a blink when your in a magnificent world. You should check it yourself =D (so am I). haha
Ha ha...was at Port Barton last month and decided not to bother again with the river..1,500php?! no thanks..saw it back in 1989..but back then we didn't have crash helmets and used a simple dug-out log..ha ha..and one of the 2 lamps went out, a lot more fun & no tourists, yeah!
Actually it was discovered in 2007 that the Worlds Longest underground River is in Mexico. Check the National Geographic site for the facts (it wont let me post the page here) I just came back from swimming in the one in Mexico it was amazing
Longest NAVIGABLE (publicly accessible) underground river. "Its accessibility and navigability up to 4.5km inland allows it to be experienced by the general public, who can view the magnificent rock formations on a river cruise unequalled by any other similar experience elsewhere in the world." (UNESCO)
eeek! i went to that underground river and enarly crapped my pants. its so damn scary and dark in there. but overall it was a good experience. the tour guides were cool too. they told us there were crocodiles in there -_- there are none though
I was there... There was this giant anaconda type snake dwelling deep! It was massive and was stalking the tourists! Thankfully I had my shotgun and scared him off, But his out there!

PPUR is very Amazingggggg..
you can not appreciate the beauty because it's dark, needs more brighter light

spent 13 thousands inclusive of airfare, city tour, 4 days accomodation, lunch, bfast, underground river tour, island hopping and van.
Would it be better if they put lights inside the cave so tourist can actually see the beauty?
Instead of letting a tourist to assist the guide by holding the light, the guide should be the one holding the light while explaining what the tourists can see in the cave.
