The maturity and stoicism in Aidan's acting is unreal! He's totally like a 60yo man in a boy's body. There's so much in every glance, every smirk, every movement of the eyebrows. He's incredible! I can't wait to see him in more stuff.

Honestly, I know a lot of people are mad about them being together because she betrayed Diego. But at the start of the Show when he met Lila i knew it would eventually be something more. Being stuck 7 years with him too, I personally think it’s a very sweet relationship that they had.
Lila should've gone with Fives and had a family rather than Diego.

After watching this video 10 times, I just have to give you a compliment for choosing this song for them and just edditing scenes to the music so perfectly, like 1:11 and 2:30 *chefskiss*.
I have to say they do have great chemistry, and their little bubble should have lastet over more episodes, so that the time they where away didn't feel so short.

I rarely write comments, but you know what I realized. The Five and Lila were obvious from the moment she appeared. Their couple looks much more harmonious than with Diego. Even the bracelet given by the Fifth is made of metal, not beads. Everyone is appealing that it was cheating, but for some reason everyone forgot that Laila asked for a break long before the first subway ride. Their relationship is shown innocently and tenderly, which does not cause much dissonance. They were nice.

she definitely loves him, Lila tries to lie to herself that it is for survival but she is not the type who would keep the bracelet if she is not in love with him.
She pretty much confirmed that she loved him to Diego. He asked her twice if she loves Five and she didn’t answer him. The silence was a confirmation.

I love Lila and Five together too and I know that she is married to Diego but didn't she ask for a break? I know that it is no excuse to get involved with someone else but in the circumstances of the series of being stuck for 6, 7 years together without really knowing if they would be able to return?? For me is kind of enough to accept why they got together specially because it took quite an while until something happen. I know it is quite complex for most people for moral reasons and it is kind of or you love it or you hate it but although it was throw at us in the final two episodes, the way Aidan and Ritu acted was so convincing (Great actors by the way)

I am so sad that we didn't get a whole episode of them being stuck and eventually falling in love. That would have made it all the more powerful. Maybe if we had a full 10 episode season that would have happened.
Well, I'm in a love-hate relationship with this love triangle because Lila and Diego had been wrong for a long time, where he was always complaining and resenting what could have been if he hadn't lost her powers and stuff like that. Lila wanted to take a break from all that for a good time and then comes five, they stay together for 7 whole years, completely isolated from society, without the certainty of being able to return at some point, and what can I say, Diego realized too late that he was destroying the relationship with all his complaints, although I also hate that they didn't give us time to process everything that happened, I hated that they only did six episodes and everything felt so rushed, it's as if there were 4 more hours of episodes missing, I would have loved for Diego and Five to have a sincere conversation where we could understand something about what they both feel. But at the end I didn't hate season 4 and I'm happy that netflix ended the serie.

I know their relationship is wrong, Lila and Five should have never hooked up when they knew Lila and Diego were married and had kids together. But I can’t help but feel happy that Five was able to Love someone for the first time in his life (besides Delores). He looked heartbroken when Lila left him after 7 years together. I know Diego and Lila belong together, but I’m sure Lila will always have a special place in her heart for Five ❤️
I don't think Lila still loves Diego. Five understands Lila as no one else does. And she knows him too. They just didn't fit together when they met in season 2 because they had too big of an age gap. Five was too old for her. She was just a young girl. And Diego was a good partner for her. But now she's grown up and become a woman. And Five found out that she isn't just a girl anymore.
Personally I think that when Diego asks Lila if she loves Five and she doesn't answer him, it's because if she told him the truth (that she loved Five), it would have destroyed him at that moment, and if she said she didn't love him, Diego would know she was lying. Right at the end when they are about to die, Lila tells Diego that she didn't want to hurt him, so this makes me think that Lila did love Five.

Also the way Five holds Lila in the subway after the train left with her family and Claire is so lovely and the fact she holds Five hand and crying one final time before they are all gone for good was so amazing../ People had so much against they together for several reasons but for me was honestly was one of the best parts of the season. 😊😊
Omg this!!! I didn’t know how to feel because I felt bad for 5 and i shipped the two but it didn’t feel entirely right to me bc she was married.

And writers made sure to show Diego in half-bad light in season 3 and very badly in s4, to leave no space to doubt they were over. I'm not a fan of Diego but I felt sorry for what was done to his character.
I think their relationship made sense here, although it did hurt to see Lila and Diego fall apart. But hey, first time Five got any action with a human person and not a mannequin! Go Five
Aidan can portrait anything. I wil always believe him. Can't wait to see his next big roles. I was watching The Umbrella Academy mainly for him and I am so sorry the show is over. I could watch this actor for the next 10 years and never become bored of him

This right here is why the finale broke my heart. Five was finally happy for the first time in his life, and then everything had to end. It gutted me.

I absolutely loved Five and Lila together. I know most people hated them but not me. From the very beginning they have had a certain chemistry that she and Diego lacked. And the chemistry between Aidan and Ritu is insane!! Always has been. No, not a romantic chemistry since he was a child but chemistry none the less. Five and Lila just made so much more sense: they had so much more in common than her and Diego. And btw: she didn’t cheat; she told Diego they needed a break. Not cheating. Anyway: Five and Lila were the best romantic couple/ relationship of the entire series.

This ship is my guilty pleasure. I feel like Five and Lila's romance could have been written better, and Five seemed a bit OOC throughout this season, but I liked them together. Especially seeing the difference in their dynamic from S2-S3 compared to S4. I do miss their snarky banter and believe it could have been incorporated in their interactions even as they fell in love. And yeah, poor Diego, but Lila with Five was always going to be the more interesting couple.
Here's my opinion -
I did find it weird at first, but the first thing that came to my mind was not the age gap, but the fact that Five could betray his own brother.
Once, I got over the new Five, I was pissed that the writers didn't give a proper ending to this love triangle; with what Diego and Five hating each other till the end, the team didn't even use their powers much throughout the series and the ending
100% agree....show ended with hate between diego and five....that's horrible ending
That's exactly how I felt. It was so out of character for Five to fight with Diego while the others were going against Ben and even say that he hated him. And the fact they died hating each other breaks my heart because they had a great relationship:( i can't mourn the show properly because i'm angry at how they rushed things. We needed those 4 more episodes.
In fact, pretty much all of the characters died brokenhearted. :(

Lila didn't chose Diego. Yes, she came back for her children but she never said "I have a husband". Also after they came back she never expressed desire to stay with Diego, it looked more like explaining why she fell for someone else and being sorry for breaking his heart. She kept the bracelet. I mean, she told Five it's over but the moment he went away she showed she went one step too far. On the contrary to Diego, who just got "sorry it hurts you I live someone else". And also, this little detail - in the fight, Lila instinctively teamed up with Five, they worked together flawlessly.
@@Bellatrix2606 I don't think the "it's over" was intended to be taken as "it is over between us, Five". That's sadly how Five took it, but you can see the sinking realization in Lila's face after he blips out that he misunderstood her. I think what she meant was "this fight between you two is over!"

Lila still count as cheat her husband, and five betray his brother. However, it is understandable that is takes 6 long years, they almost give up on their timeline.
lila had unhealty marriage with diego but with five we can see the changes , lila has take better care of her self (she dresses nice and has a good healty hair unlike before) and five become more sweet and more human.

I'd love for the fourth season to have, at least, two more episodes. Some of the character's arcs seemed too rushed. And I would love to explore more and better Five and Lila's relationship.

I've been thinking something, that Five will find that notebook with the answer to return home, it's just theory but, what if that notebook belonged to a Five who managed to live a life with Lila in that place, but upon finding the answer to return to their world, Five and Lila decided that it would be better for their past versions to be the ones to return and not them. And who knows, maybe they managed to have children and start a family in that timeline where they stayed together.
Oh I see this theory in one of a fanfic about them and it's so sweet. who else gonna do that if it's not another version of both of them

I loved seeing the two of them together, the five of them, Laila, I ship this couple, they really have a lot of chemistry, I was already feeling that they were going to have something at the beginning of the episode, because of their smiles, until for the first time we see the five of them smiling, because of the exchange of looks I was already feeling everything they faced and went through together when they kissed people I freaked out with joy I ship this couple a lot to me, she has much more chemistry with Five than with Diego (especially because Diego is the brother I I like it less) especially because Laila wasn't happy in that marriage, she wasn't in Diego, they were fighting, she was happier with five, their looks were really beautiful, I thought it was really cute, the two of them together or five of them in love, people, I never thought I'd live to see the five in love with him kissing Laila saying he just wants to please her the look in his eyes in love with her she with him him calling her love so cute this scene so like I didn't wish he had left that timeline for me that could having stayed there watching them happy, and he also deserves love after everything he suffered in life, he went through to save his family and get trapped in the apocalypse, first time in four seasons that we saw the happy five, hey guys, I don't care if Whoever didn't like it, whoever hated it won't change my opinion, I ship Laila and I five her in my heart, I wish she had stayed in that timeline together Not to mention that their relationship is not toxic, it was a healthy relationship, we see the beautiful and cute way that Five treats Laila and she is also happy, I ship Five e Laila ❤️(People are complaining that Lila cheated on Diego but her marriage was unhappy, she herself said she wanted some time to reevaluate her marriage, she said it herself, and another five and Diego They never got along, they only had a few moments because most of the time they were fighting, I love Cinco, I liked seeing him with Laila, I don't care if most people hated it, they thought it was nothing to watch. For a long time, I thought about how Five felt; having been in the apocalypse alone left him with many unexplored experiences. For me, it's a difficult thing to live through... I'm honestly sad that Five didn't have the loving ending he once wished for ✨
Still, it hurt me to see all these scenes... More because I saw them as spoilers 🥺
I think he had a loving ending. Lila said hurtful things to Five twice, yes, but Lila's behaviour was saying all out she choses Five. It was hard to see in first watching, I had to calmly rewatch their scenes and concentrate on what they were ACTUALLY saying. Lila never wanted to go back to Diego, she always mentioned just her kids (and somewhere parents, I think). She didn't say she love Diego or that she regrets being with Five. All she said was "sorry you are feeling bad/your feelings were hurt". "I didn't mean to hurt you" sounds like "I didn't do that to spite you.

And their feelings were there when they went away. How different it was for Allison who got dumped, Luther who was dreaming of a family life (after five years he was still talking as if Sloane was to join him) even of all he got was a wedding night, Diego who messed up his marriage and realised it way too late or Klaus who never got to live a truly normal life?
Im happy Five had a short term love and felt love from a real person before the end.
I like that she, indirectly, expressed her feelings for him since they were going to die in the end.
Despite the debate, I enjoyed their acting.

It's my opinion but I really liked that they made Laila and the five stay together for four seasons, this was the first one we saw the five being a little happy
7 years > 84 months > 365 weeks > 2555 days
Eu achei tudo isso muito condizente com a história. Não foram só 7 anos juntos; pra Lila, foram 7 anos de companheirismo e carinho depois de 5 de um casamento morno e insatisfatório (cujo o próprio Diego também reclamou muito nessa temporada). Pro Cinco, foram 7 anos de pertencimento depois de +50 vivendo num apocalipse sozinho. Sem contar que desses 7 anos, se for reparar direitinho, eles só ficaram juntos mesmo por no máximo 1 ano. Eu realmente acredito que em algum momento os dois (o Cinco principalmente) se conformou de que eles ficariam presos naquela situação por mais tempo e que tava tudo bem nisso, na medida do possível. Tanto que quando ele conta a verdade pra ela, a Lila só diz que precisa voltar por causa dos filhos. O Cinco já chamava ela de "amor" 5 meses antes de encontrar um modo de sair de lá. Depois deles voltarem, o Diego diz que a Lila não gosta de pulseiras porque rejeitou uma que ele deu de aniversário, mas nós sabemos que a que o Cinco fez pra ela foi dada numa ocasião que nem era especial, e quando eles tinham um motivo pra comemorar ela deu um presente pra ele mesmo eles tendo combinado de não fazer isso. E mesmo ela tendo dito que o relacionamento deles só aconteceu por sobrevivência e tendo praticamente terminado com o Cinco depois de separar a briga entre ele e o Diego, ela se arrependeu e também hesitou quando o Diego perguntou se ela o amava.
E nesse tipo de situação, com seu marido, pai dos seus filhos, perguntando se você ama outra pessoa, calar é consentir.
As circunstâncias foram muito ruins e eu não apoio traição, mas acho que aconteceu o que tinha que acontecer. A única coisa que eu senti que faltou nesse arco deles foi mais tempo pros irmãos se resolverem. Não foi justo o Cinco e o Diego morrerem brigados sendo que no último momento o Diego perdoou a Lila e ela segurou a mão dos dois.
Lila and Diego had a perfectly normal life but they both wanted something more because in their core they are not normal (super powers or mot). Thing is she was trained to be an assassin like five. She has more things in common with five than with Diego. However Diego was the guy that forgave all her lunatic behavior from the moment he met her and all her betrayals. He was loyal to the bone and she was in love with him. She never answered the question if she loved 5 but we all knew that she needn't give a reply. She loves both 5 and Diego. And yeah she has every rigjt to love 5 because for 7 years he was her only companion and support in a completely different situation. Both her lives (7 years with Diego and 7 with 5) were equally important and filled with two men lovable for different reasons. The thing that is crap is that she has been building a relationship with diego for like 3 seasons to screw everything up in 2 episodes and in the end not facing any consequence for jer choices.
Es war bereits ab der Mitte abzusehen, dass da was zwischen Lila und Five in der Luft liegt. Am Ende sagt Lila zu diego, dass sie ihn nicht verletzen wollte und nimmt die Hand von Five. Ich schließe daraus, dass sie Five liebte.

My opinion i like Five & Lila over Lila and Diego tbh, its nice to see Five fall in love with a human person, & deep down Lila does love him & Five loves her, I didnt like Diego in the last season blaming Lila for things, Lila wanted space from him, I like Lilve (Lila and Five) plus Lila kept the bracelet Five made her, which was very cute ❤❤
Lila also kept the bracelet Diego gave her in S2. She's sentimental that way. Diego chose Lila multiple times over his own family. But for some reason the S4 writers erased that history and made a whole different Lila to fit in their forced narrative.

I only watched the series for Aidan Gallagher. He's such a great actor with a promising future ❤ I loved the sarcastic and brutal Five as well as the heartbroken and lovely Five ❤
I would absolutely love if there was more media that focused on their seven years together - how difficult it was on lila to be away from her children, how five deals with being disconnected from their siblings, would they have loved each other in any other circumstance? etc etc
also a deeper look into five's mind and what being in a young body again with a beautiful young woman does to him emotionally - it's the life he was never given the chance to live, she's his deloris - I think a lot of people look at Aiden and only see the cute young actor and totally forget the traumatized Five we were introduced to in season 1.
After this vid, I found it very clear that Five portrayed Dolores in her, and Lila saw Handler in him.
I'm glad Five finally found love, but i really wish it was someone else and not lila.

With regards to all the videos i have seen and surmised, if you have stayed long enough with one person for a very long period of time, you will bond , and 7 years ...i think they probably liked each other from year one..that is human psychology, neurology etc..our energy connects..
Personally , I think if Lila had no kids,she would probably have stayed with five forever, especially after she hears Diego suspecting her when she didn't cheat on him...she is definitely hurt from that too.

Honestly, I don't mind them being in love and all cuz 7 years is a lot and some type of connection is bound to form but I don't think Five would do that to Diego. He didn't even consider the fact that Lila was married (neither did she) and most importantly he would NOT hide the book from Lila to go back to his family cuz if you think about it Five has practically been living for his family and spent all those years of hell trying to get back to them so him not wanting to go back and betraying Diego like that doesn't make sense and is out of character for both Lila (she hasn't mentioned her kids and husband ONCE and from what I've seen Lila is the type of person to value her family, just like Five) and Five
they simply thought there's no way back (especially in lila's pov) the possibility of going back to nothing made them do this
This series officially broke my heart, I was hoping for a happy ending, I'd rather read the comics
When they presented a " multiverse" with different timelines, I knew there was no Happy ending for them. Still, I did hope for non-powers estrangers you know, maybe Alison and Kalus walking on the same street but not recognizing each other, bittersweet but hopeful.

It makes sense and they were kinda cute but if five was gonna fall in love it should have been with someone else not Lila they should have added another character it completely fucks with the relationship development that Diego and Lila had since season 2 and Five most likely died thinking Diego hates him and maybe he did they didn't even get a chance to mend their relationship before the end.

The five u know was never able to have a real love. Him being in isolation. Made him take a chance even tho that meant betrayal to Diego.
