    You are the definition of homemaker, your skills put model day women to shame , you are about that life. I enjoy learning these skills that you and alot of the TH-cam creators have invested your time to show and teach those who wish to learn ,and didn't have elders to pass down these skills. Thank you so much you are a blessing.

      I've managed to keep them mostly going at times, with little breaks here and there, I'm so looking forward to gardening season and sharing all that with the kitchen stuff daily, I will love having that to look back on myself!

    Everything looked so great, I kept saying I have to make that. Looks like the crew were all on hand today. It must feel and taste good to harvest something straight from the garden into a dish. The zucchini really offered plenty of substance. But...the Last dish with the Pesto, smoked chicken and homemade noodles, I said " I hope Daryll told you, I love you". It was a beautiful masterpiece. Thanks for taking us along. I love the music and the pace of the video. So visually pleasing

      It is such a simple but super tasty meal! I love being able to pull something out of the garden and just figure out what to do with it, it definitely helps us with food being fresh over the month. The gardens are very overgrown atm as they end up being at the end of summer, I need a few hours in there cleaning things up!

    Smoked chicken pesto pasta ....yummo. That zuchini is beautiful with the stripes. I love it when my family makes up names for food. That pasta sauce sounds delicious too. So much beautiful food again 💜

      It's such a simple dairy free pasta but feels so decadent! The cocozelle zucchini grew the best out of all my varieties this year, I should send you some seeds!

    As usual everything looked delicious!! Will have to bake bacchini bread next time, make both but never thought doing them together!! Sauce looked really good as did the pesto chicken. I'll bet tryout family loves all things that you cook. Won't be long until you go shopping again! Thanks for all the recipes this week,can't wait to try them. God Bless!

      It was really nice, sometimes I find my Zucchini bread ends up really dense, this was lovely and light, I'd take the sugar down a bit next time, we're used to things not as sweet, and I was basing it on a bunch of recipes I looked at, I ended up adding more zucchini too lol, following recipes is not my forte!

    Hi, I am new to canning, I am using Fowlers jars and lids.I want to can cooked cooked chicken but don’t know how long to can it for.If you can help I would be very thankful. I love all your videos. I live in Melbourne.Thank you. 😊

      Hi there :). There's a few diff things with canning chicken, raw or cooked is the same, but bone in or out will affect your time.
      Fowlers jars a 20 is approx a pint, a 27 is approx a quart.
      Bone in chicken is 65 and 75 for those sizes.
      Boneless is 75 and 90 for those sizes :)
      If you are canning in 36's you need to add 20% onto your canning times to compensate for the size of the jars.
      Obviously this is pressure canned too, you cannot Fowlers method meat :D

    Wow you are so talented. You make it look so easy. What was in the Breakfast sausage seasoning, is that something you make yourself and store.

      @OurSmallFootprint  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thankyou! Yes, its a mix of spices, that are generally found in 'breakfast sausage' flavour, Sage, brown sugar, garlic, onion, paprika etc, there's heaps of variations on the internet of the mix, we just make it to our taste :D

    Very cool, but I am so afraid of the eggs not being cooked. I know it is ridiculous but.... My niece has chickens but wash their eggs unless someone specifically asks her not to.

    • @OurSmallFootprint
      @OurSmallFootprint  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can pasteurise your eggs so they are heated slightly as you are making Mayo :). There’s lots of people who can’t do raw eggs :)

      I've been told not to wash the eggs as it takes the blume off and that protects them.

    Do you eat at different times to your children?

    • @OurSmallFootprint
      @OurSmallFootprint  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes and no, D and I only have coffee first thing in the morning, they start eating breakfast from the moment they get up lol. So D and I only really eat two meals a day, one mid morning which is our breakfast/lunch (which I normally cook them a cooked lunch then too, like if I'm making cooked meats etc, I cook it for them as well) and then one at dinner time, much the same time as the kids, but not 'with them' I supervise them at the table while they are eating but we don't have a table large enough for all of us to sit at, so I tend to supervise them, then while they are cleaning up/finishing baths etc, I cook D and my serve of either the same thing they are eating or something different depending on availability :) and we tend to eat at our desks. (D and I don't have a television/couch/seated area, just our separate desks stashed in the corners they fit :))
